  • If you really want an accurate calorie burn I'd suggest investing in a heart rate monitor. You can pick one up for pretty inexpensive. That will solve this full dilemma.
  • I love spinning! The soreness does go away after the fist few times you go. I'd suggest buying some padded bike shorts, but honestly, I never wear mine. I own one pair of triathlon specific bike shorts (read: minimal padding) and only wear them on occasion. I spin because I run triathlons and it makes me stronger and…
  • You need to NET 1200 calories a day otherwise you're doing yourself a disservice. Did you become a vegetarian for weight loss purposes? Take it from someone who was a strict vegetarian for six years, vegetarian =/= healthy.
  • I'm pear shaped. 5'3-ish", about 131lbs right now and wearing a US 4 in pants, small in tops, and size 2-6 in dresses depending on the fit and designer.
  • I slice mine using a mandolin slicer so they're uniform in size. I keep the skin on, spray a cookie sheet with either olive oil from a misto or some Pam. I go every morning to run and lift and squeeze a few classes a week in at night. Sooooo thankful I don't have to pay because the only other place in town is a…
  • I'm on the far right in the first photo, 162lbs, Ocotober 2011. I'm currently 133lbs, hoping to lose another 13.
  • I use the Polar FT4. It does everything you're asking about and it runs about $80-ish.
  • Which code do I need to use to post pictures?
  • Thank you! I pound hot cider like it's my job this time of year and I NEVER drink my calories otherwise.
  • I had no idea it did that! That's really good to know. I usually use mapmyrun.com to track out my routes after if I'm curious, or before if I'm aiming for a certain distance. They also have the option of changing it to walking or biking and also have an app that tracks using GPS.
  • I forgot about our group too! I gained a few pounds back after my triathlon which was two months ago now. So now I have to relose that, blehhhh. Here's to hoping.
