my diary is open to the public, but that is largely because i stay anonymous on my MFP profile: my real name is never used, and my face and tattoos are blurred in all my images. if i ever linked my MFP tp my facebook, i don't think i would be as open with my diary. only my mom and my best friend are people from "real life"…

ditto. what he is doing is emotional abuse. get to a therapist to talk it out, maybe TRY couple's therapy so u can work it out together. but ultimately, an abuser will always be an abuser. if u saw someone consistently being verbally abusive to a child u love, would u allow that to go on? hell no. then why tolerate that…

this reply IS "tough love", but ditto to everything here. SO agree!

yes, it really is that bad for you. hard for me to get the gist of what you are saying in your post, but i *think* you are saying something like, "if it is really so bad, why does it still exist? why do people not shut it down?" etc. for me, i tend to boycott/avoid things that I don't like. so, in a sense, I am working to…

ummmm...don't u mean "concede", not "consent"? u CONCEDE that you were being cruel...there is nothing to CONSENT to... yeah, being a grammar nazi is fun when people are mean

understand that your stomach already IS "beautiful" (so many of the images we see of bodies are photoshopped...even people who were always thin have "imperfections" on their stomachs) also, u look amazing--seriously, so tall and strong looking--proud of U! and even when u were a higher weight, u had a very beautiful face…

not that this is for everyone, but i had a breast reduction a few years ago...best thing i ever did, and it changed my life. is that something u have considered?
-
could be that u are losing muscle mass due to taking in too little food
-
--eat more food --eat more protein --strength train with body weight exercises (see the book "body by you" for a program)
-
remember that docs, even bariatric ones, are painfully ignorant about nutrition most times. can u see a nutritionist instead?
-
read as many books as u can about veganism--hit the library or have a little amazon shopping fun! shoot for 20 or 25% protein rather than 30. we need less that we think. take a B-12 pill, and/or drink alomd milk and use some foods with b-12 added. stay vegan despite what others say. most are totally ignorant about vegan…

mmmmm, i would say roughly since mid-2011 (right around when that "before" pic was taken, tho that was not my top weight ever) and while my loss has been slow, i consider it a success that i have maintained all along the way: lose 5 pounds, camp out maintaining for several months. lose five more, camp out again. never…

thank u so much!!! as far as helpful "tricks", here's what has helped me a lot: --eating 5 or 6 mini meals during the day --being vegan (especially when i keep it PLANT-based: veggies and fruits rather than soy icecream and vegan treats, LOL) --abstaining from sugar (fruits are cool...stuff with actually "sugar" as an…

^ TRUTH. i have been happy at 220. i have been miserable at 150. no number or weight loss will "give" u self love. u need to DECIDE to love yourself today. loving yourself does not mean u won't work toward change. quite the contrary...it becomes the place from which LASTING change comes...
