Great job on the walking! Great idea to check in daily with your thread too! My commitment for my day is that I’m about to eat breakfast, and then pack my lunch to take to work, instead of running out the door hungry! Best wishes for both of us today!

Extrovert right here! 33, looking to lose about 65 pounds

Hi Michelle! I live all the way in NY, so we won't be hitting the gym together any time soon, but I would LOVE to support each other here on MFP...we can use the "message" feature as a way to check in daily, check out each other's food diaries, etc. My name is Adrienne, I am 31 years old. My top weight was 225, currently…

I LIKE that...joints and muscles can be the reminders for my goals :)

I meant "everything YOU said I agree with" LOL
-
OMG....agree with everything I said, and I will refer back to it often: I tend to OVER restrict and set up a million rules. Gonna make my only goal right now: log everything, stay within cals

That's a good point, I do need to shift the way I look at the diet vs lifestyle. Also, motivators like not fitting clothes, etc, are not effecting me because I am happy with my current size and appearance (as much as any woman can be in this world LOL) but I mostly want to do this for health, and to PROVE to myself that I…

Congratulations on your hard work and success. I like the observations that u point out...things people don't realize about the COMPLEXITY of emotions and experiences that come with transforming your body so completely...yes, there is joy and excitement...but also vulnerability, the thoughtless comments from others, and…

that looks really yummy :)

nice! congrats on your hard work :)

LOL  you are right, and i know it. time to get my butt in gear with this. in my early twenties, i could track *most* of the week, have a couple "cheat" days, and still lose: NOW at 31 years old, that it is not true any more...it's like I have not yet admit that I HAVE TO bring my "A-game" EVERY day or this won't…

Thanks all so much for the FAST and helpful responses---I will write up these tips on a post it, put in my wallet, and keep with me when I go out! And yes, you all are right: through lower cal choices when out, more accurate logging, and more exercise, I CAN make it work!!! It's just hard and kinda frustrating---but I am…

amazing hard work, thank u so much for sharing :)

SO cool---your story is awesome, and i like your music too! best wishes to u!

Thanks for your reply Tricia! Like I said in my post, maintaining within a range is certainly NOT the worst thing in the world, but it makes you wanna "break out" like u said! You can do it! I can do it! We will get out of our own way ;)

Okay, I have a question for you: When you were progressing on your journey, was it hard to VISUALIZE what your body would look like FIT? Meaning, did you ever wonder if you would still look like yourself, or ever feel AFRAID that u would look weird or different fit? Strange question, I know, but I was raised to think that…

Just joined my first game today...joined the DietBet4 (lose 4% of your starting weight during a month), and I *might* later on join the DietBet10 (lose 10% of your weight in 6 months). For this first challenge that I entered, my 4% weight goal means losing about 8 lbs in one month...challenging, but do-able, which I like.…

I will have to check out that episode because, if memory serves, the dad was played by Bryan Cranston. As being a HUGE Breaking Bad fan, i love me some Bryan Cranston :)

1. Keeping a journal of: feelings, exercise notes, food notes, and recording my weight. 2. Eating mostly real, unprocessed food: avoiding food that makes me binge. 3. Doing exercises, and eating foods, that I truly ENJOY: never suffering through exercise or meals i hate to "make goal".
-
You look even younger than that!!! You look amazing!!!
-
great results! keep up the good work :)

LOngevity and such is a motivator I want to use more: i am thirty years old, and while i feel OKAY, i don't feel GREAT fitness and energy wise...since i wanna live to 90, i better start thinking about this stuff NOW
-
that is a good motivator for sure! funny enough, I have never been on a horse, but keep telling myself that one day when i get to goal, i would like to try riding horses :) thanks for sharing your motivation!

Hmmm, I DO have a complicated relationship with food: I am a compulsive overeater, and some foods make me prone to BINGING...once I eat one serving, I do not stop. However, when I avoid those foods completely, I can go months or years without binges, without cravings, and feeling great. It may not be for everyone...many…

Yes, i totally agree with you! and the ODD things that people say when they see you've lost weight...that is a whole other conversation unto itself. :)

"If you truly love yourself and your body, don't you want to take care of yourself?" THAT is a very good reminder for me...and something I often forget to think about! Thank you! I am gonna review my "reasons" on my profile...maybe even update them :)

i like that one!!!
