  • I usually just use a comparable national brand, like Domino's, for our local pizza place.
  • While I don't agree with your husband having any say over your weight or your ability to see your family, maybe you should talk to him about how important it is to you to be there for your cousin's 21st birthday and that losing almost 140lbs will take at least a year and a half at a safe rate of weight loss. I'm guessing…
  • It is for health reasons. If your logging is accurate and you're really only eating 1000 calories a day, you're not providing your body with the nutrition you need which can result in hair loss and muscle loss.

  • If your logging is accurate, it looks like you are under eating during the week and then over eating on Friday. It still comes out to a daily average of 1300 cals for the week, but it doesn't sound like you're happy with that. Maybe you could try eating more during the week and then your body won't need to binge to get a…
  • My husband keeps all of his computer component boxes and old computer parts. They're just sitting in the guest room closet, not flattened, like he is actually going to use old computer parts again and not just buy more. Oh, well.
  • Lies. This is the recipe we use and it is super simple: http://www.annies-eats.com/2011/11/01/diy-flour-tortillas/
  • Flour tortillas are good. Homemade flour tortillas are even better.
  • If you're interested in running a half marathon or marathon, I would definitely recommend that you get fitted for shoes (and possibly inserts) at a running store. While $150-$250 seems like a lot of money, it will save you from future pain and medical bills. ETA: If you do go to a store to get your shoes fitted, please buy…
  • I love the bread recipes on Annie's Eats and Budget Bytes. Most of the bread recipes that I have used take a while to rise, so I just make them on days that we're around the house. All of these store well in the freezer, which really helps on hectic weeks. Our favorites from Annie's Eats are: Pizza Crust Flour Tortillas…
  • I'm not sure. Your best bet will probably be to make a really small batch of the biscotti with the substitution and see if it works or not.
  • Um, yes it does. Potassium - 396mg (11% DV) Calcium - 25% DV Vitamin A - 8% DV Vitamin B-12 - 31% DV Iron - 24% DV Magnesium - 11% DV Sure, its high in sodium (1007mg) and fat (33g), but it isn't devoid of nutritional value.
  • We're doing Christmas with my family this year and our Christmas dinner is a pretty strict tradition. Here's the menu we've been having since I was a kid: - Ham - Fried Turkey - Baked Sausage Dressing - Corn Pudding - Sweet Potato and Cranberry Casserole - Broccoli with Cheese Sauce - Mashed Potatoes I'm going to make this…
  • I usually get a grilled chicken sandwich with either a fruit cup or a side salad.
  • I got to my goal weight while on birth control. Birth control can increase your appetite and fluid retention, but it doesn't contribute to real weight gain. I would schedule an appointment with your doctor about the headaches and fatigue though.
  • I don't think anyone insinuated that you were the bad guy...
  • That's silly. You should live in a less silly place. ETA: I've heard of places charging a fee to split a meal between two people, but I don't see why they would charge a fee for a "to-go" container at the beginning of the meal but not if you get one at the end of the meal.
  • They'll charge you extra to get a "to-go" container?
  • Use leftover turkey in these enchiladas instead of chicken: http://www.annies-eats.com/2010/02/15/chicken-enchiladas/
  • Are you using generic "home made" entries or did you enter recipes for the things like "tuna noodle casserole - 1 serving," "Home Made - Grilled Cheese on Whole Wheat Bread, 1 sandwich," and "Homemade - Chicken Fried Rice (Made With Baked Chicken Breast, Brown Rice, Vegetable Oil,), 1 portion." If you're just picking…
  • Enabling negative adjustments means that when you are less active than your stated activity level, your calories will be reduced.
  • - Only cook a single serving. - Put the leftovers in a container in the fridge before you eat your serving. Beyond that, you have to want to lose the weight more than you want an extra serving of bread or pasta.
  • You might want to find separate database entries for your crumpet, butter, and marmite. That way you can make sure the amount of butter and marmite you use is actually tracked correctly as opposed to relying on a random entry someone made.
  • I'm not sure if I'll have it every day, since it is a little cold out, but I had some last night after my volleyball game.
  • Does the entire container of ice cream have a weight? You could divide that by the number of servings in the container and get a rough weight for each serving. It isn't ideal, but it's better than nothing.
  • Well, they don't list it as "1 wrap," but as "1 each." They don't list how many people it serves exactly and the serving size of "1 each" is used for the sides too, so that's what led me to the nutrition info being for the whole dish. I agree though, they were really lazy when they came up with this nutrition chart.
  • Based on the way the nutrition information is setup, it looks like that is the calorie count of the entire dish.
  • You can make the biscuits and gravy over the weekend and reheat them in the morning. Just pop the gravy into the microwave or onto the stove with a little extra milk. To reheat the biscuits, wrap them in foil and toss them in a 300F oven for ten minutes. Or you can keep a bag of the individually frozen biscuits and just…

  • My diary is open. I'm in maintenance now, but I maintain on 1650 without exercise. I make a lot of recipes, so feel free to message me for the recipe  Good luck!
