  • I have an open diary. I am open for feedback. I fall down and get back up. I will support you. Feel free to add or just snoop :)
  • It is unusual for me since I feel like I carry my weight in my hind end. I am more hour glass versus apple shape. My waist is surprisingly small and yes, I felt horrible for having to correct the person. I cannot understand why I should feel bad for correcting someone but I did/do. I am thinking perhaps I need to get new…
  • I have three that are my favorite 1. If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you 2. One meal won't make you skinny, and one meal won't make you fat 3. Skinny girls look good in clothes, fit girls look good naked :)
  • I know mine are a bit outlandish. However, I will be jumping out of a plane with my four best girlfriends who went on this journey with me. My second reward is to go for a hot air balloon ride with my dad. Both are things I always wanted to do but felt too heavy, awkward, and uncomfortable in my own skin to complete my…
  • I have a couple ways. First: I drink a bottle (16 ounces) when I get out of bed with my medications (probiotic, multivitamin, b12, allergy pill, and migraine pill). Second: I fill my 32 ounce bottle and drink it on my way to the gym, at the gym, and on my way home from gym. This is between 0500-0630. Third: I fill the 32…
  • I am doing the paleo thing. I really like it. It can be hard at times when faced with some social settings but I can usually plan for it in advance and depending on where you live (metro area) there are places that support "clean eating". I feel so much better eating paleo. I will admit that I have gut issues and this was…
  • If I am doing the calculation correctly...my usual daily calories (1200) by my maintenance calories (1540). I am eating at a 21% deficit. If I include my usual daily calories with activity/exercise (1000) by my maintenance calories (1540). I am eat at a 35% deficit. So, in theory-I should be losing weight.... Thanks for…
  • I am almost 5'8" and I have my goal weight at 150 which I am about 10 pounds away from now. I have lost 0.7 pounds the last 2 weeks in a row. Paleo is part of the "clean eating" family. It is the raw, organic, healthy lifestyle. I do measure everything. I pretty much get everything ready for the week on sunday and start…
  • I thought it was, but it is now. Thank you for taking a peek!
  • I really like adding fiber one cereal with a table spoon of chia seeds to non-fat greek yogurt (plain) with some blackberries. I am all about the fiber though...Perfect way to start the day :)
  • I tried to post a picture of my weight graph. I hit a plateau from the end of December through the end of March and suddenly it starting coming off again. I strongly encourage taking measurements every four weeks along pictures. This helped me with my motivation as I felt a bit defeated at times. My pictures and…
  • As a nurse, I would say that the medical community would not support the use of a cinnamon capsule however with that said I will share that my husband and I add a teaspoon of cinnamon to something everyday. Me to non-fat greek yogurt (21 grams of proteins) and my husbands adds to his steel oatmeal. My husband is also a…
  • It can be challenging as a new way of life sets in for you. I am lucky that I have supportive friends and I can go out without drinking (not worth the calories or hangover) and I want to be more active. I have made new friends through the gym who are more active-health minded. If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change…
  • I was on it too many years ago however I did not last long as my resting HR is naturally in the 60s with a similarly low Blood Pressure. I did not tolerate the medication I have been on Topamax for years and it works well for me. I am not sure how long you have been on the medication, I do know it can take a bit for the…
  • Do an activity that doesn't feel like exercise. I started with dancing with my daughters to Wii dance. I got tired easy but I knew I was getting a little activity because I was sweaty. From there, the endurance gets better. I agree with the nutrition piece. Log everything. That is the best place to start. Hope that helps.
  • It is challenging to lose esp once you start to get close to your goal. Make sure you are taking measurements and pictures. I do this every 4 weeks. I had been stuck in plateau from December until recently. The thing that kept me motivated was that I kept losing inches. I could see the changes in the pictures even when I…
  • Every 4 weeks. Any sooner you may not see changes and waiting longer can try your patience...Okay it tries mine, esp when the scale isn't moving. I see in the in pictures first.
  • Yes, I am synced so both accounts (MFP and Fitbit) are interfacing which is good. I only add things to MFP so that I don't mess things up worse. I think that MFP was/is giving too many calories back for exercise. An example, my bootcamp that I haven't logged this week because I wanted to see what the fitbit would do it…
  • P.S. Feel free to add me on here or on fitbit at www.fitbit.com/user/2FRH44
  • There lots of ways to get veggies rather than eat them plain. You can add a serving to dish. I add them to egg whites and scramble them. You can add them to rice, etc. Cut them small. Also consider juicing them. It is pretty tasty but can be a more costly way. I am a person that loves veggies, unfortunately my family not…
  • I just got a fitbit and am using for the first time today. Please add me...I don't know how to add any one yet... //www.fitbit.com/user/2FRH44

  • Please include me. I have not done any from here.
  • "one meal did not make you fat and one meal will not make you skinny" and one of my other favs is "If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you"
  • I do something similar on Monday and Wednesdays. I love it. It is a class that incorporates lunges, squats, burpees, ect with time on the bag. I feel stronger and enjoy the cardio. It is never the same. I have been doing it now for 10 weeks and am surprised how I am adding in modifications because it is not same (not so…
  • Make sure you are taking measurements. If you are gaining muscle and transitioning your body-holding your weight is okay. It is frustrating. It is the boat I am in too...I workout doing HIIT 5 days a week for 45 minutes. I have lost 9 inches but no weight. I do eat over some days and I am okay with it so that I don't…
  • I have lost 18 pounds to date and have 17 to goal. I ran into colleagues at a networking event that I had not seen in about a year and they said "You are aging in reverse, you look younger and healthier every time I see you" It was a wonderful compliment as my journey has been about health, not simply weight loss. YAY
  • I too have been stuck in a plateau. I have essentially been between 169-167 at 5'7" since December 20th. I added in serious gym time (5-6 days a week) in January and still haven't lost any more weight. I will admit that I have lost a fairly significant amount of inches (9 inches) in 8 weeks. I can tell my clothes are…
  • I have not seen walking dead so probably not a fair judge. I am an avid True Blood fan. I have read all the books in the series... "Sookie is mine"
  • A full 45 minute class of cardio kick boxing with only the allotted breaks and now I can do a solid roundout kick...I love them
  • I believe it is healthy to "cheat" and overeat on occassion. Once a week for me. I still log everything so I can see every calorie and impact of nutrition. I have found on the weeks that I have bigger day like my daughters birthday party I had bigger losses. Back on the wagon. The important thing IMO is to keep logging, it…
