Cut it up, put it in the freezer in zip lock bags....the next time your BF wants pizza, there you go. You DO have the ability to ignore that pizza sitting there...it's about what you want more...a slice now, or a healthier, leaner, more confident you later!

My one thing is that I always wanted to go camping via horseback. I bought my first horse about 2 months ago....so maybe next summer, when I get all or most of this weight off, I will be able to take him and do that. He and I are both too out of shape to do it this year!

Maybe just that it's quick and easy...Or a good calorie punch if you need to up your calories for the day.

"You earn your body. I want to get healthy I want to look better I will eat right I will exercise I will earn my body." Also: "I may not be there yet, but I am closer than I was yesterday".

I make, quite often, a sort of pasta salad. I don't have a "recipe" per se, but what I do is mix some whole grain rotini (about 1/2 serving per person), a ton of veggies (I do mine steamed and cold, because that's how I like them) like cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, some raw celery and tomatoes, and I mix it with Light…

Do you know why you are holding water? Did you do a particularly hard work out (stiff)? Are you trying to fight off a bug? I can relate, I have a hard hard work out that left me stiff and sore for 4 days, AND a cold./virus, and have gained 5lbs of water and held onto it for 5 days now. I am anticipating that when I am…

calorie cycling....that is what I was going to suggest too.

I know that in my province, a weight over 300lbs classifies you as disabled (with a doctor's note), and you can get disability parking permits, etc. Now where I work we have 1 morbidly obese woman, she was recently diagnosed with diabetes, since then, she's ignored her diet, managed to get a gaping hole in her foot...got…

this...and your hair too! And if you think, all the hair and all the skin on your body absorb water....and water is heavy...it can add up.

Everyone thank you SO much!! Yes I did just start working out. I always had an interest in martial arts, and I thought it would be a good means to a healthy and fit body, and would be something that I was pretty sure I would love. Most of the class is muscle building and aerobic, no fighting yet, but that's TOTALLY ok, I…

After as many freaking squats as I did on Thursday, I am not so sure about this! LOL I have been unable to do squats for a long time, due to an arthritic knee. But last year I lost a little weight, and then I got a job that has me walking a LOT. Now I almost never hear any complaints from my arthritic knee. Thursday was…

Thanks for all the input everyone! I really appreciate it. Does anyone have anything to say about glutamine supplements? A friend recommended them to help with healing...but I don't know much about it.

I will for sure try a post workout protein drink (or snack?). I forgot that protein is so important after a hard work out, but will be more diligent in the future!

The instructor is really good about warms ups. He does a set at the beginning, one part way through the glass, then a cool down at the end. I think a lot of the problem for me is that I am out of shape, and working SO SO hard to keep up as much as I can. Don't get me wrong, I rest when I need to, but I push myself harder…

It is absolutely positive motivation!! I am so stoked! I can;t wait for it to be 50lbs, then 100lbs....and every pound is 1 step closer!

the other day? More than likely it's the 150 calorie cone I have 3x a week :P

I am wondering how one cheats on food....eating cardboard? It's all food, and I for one am looking to learn how to live a new lifestyle. One that includes healthier eating habits, but also one that makes room for "wing night with the girls" or "pizza night". I don't think that makes me wrong. I think it makes me a realist.…

That's kind of what I was thinking too. I mean, why eat less calorie than I need to so early on :)

I would see your doctor. There are several problems (thyroid for example) that can cause rapid weight gain.
-
The only thing I would be concerned about is the sodium. It could cause you to hold water, which would make it look like the scale is not moving. I would avoid them for the 2 days prior to your weigh in day, and down ton of water to help make sure you're getting an accurate reading on the scale. Otherwise, All the power to…

Well, I don't log it...cause I do NOT want to see the calories...lol but my last free day was: My normal porridge for breakfast, we had Burger King for lunch, but that was because we were 1.5 hours away from home for an appointment, and an ice cream treat. Supper was BBQ steak (not big steaks, just a nice size), some…

I have well over 100 lbs to lose, and would love some motivated friends!! I am also only about a week back on track (my profile explains that I did this last year, lost some weight, gained 1/2 of it back) and am determined that this is the last time. Feel free to send me friend requests!!!

THIS is what I want! I absolutely can't wait!

So inspiring....thank you!!!

In ages gone by, we were, as a species "naturally thin". We had to work for our food, hunting, fishing, chopping and hauling firewood, farming and all the chores that go with it....during periods of prosperity, we gained a little weight, and during periods of strife, we thinned out (and I am talking caveman-victorian era).…

So, I actually stagger my calories. I am supposed to eat 1670 cals a day...I eat that many for 1-2 days a week, I have 1 free day a week (cheat day), and eat around 1200 the rest of the days. I eat a lot of veggies and low cal dips like salsa and Lite Dilly Dip by Litehouse. I have come to LOVE my veggies and my salads.I…

How many calories are you eating a day?

I put salsa and some light sour cream on mine and it is SO SO delicious!! I just make sure I have caloric room for anything I want on it :)
