  • What about cheat days? Are they just a flat out no? As it is right now, I actually allow myself 1 cheat day a week...not overboard cheat, but still a cheat day. Hot wings with the girls from work, and maybe a little chocolate. The last time I counted a cheat day, I wasn't even over in my calories (but typically I don't…
  • I get myself an ice cream cone from McD's after work each night as a treat to myself, since I have the calories and fat to spare. Since I work until 11:30 or midnight, I apparently end up with a lot of calories that I should be eating. I have only had my FitBit for 3 days (including today), so I had no idea that I was…
  • At home I use Mi0, club soda and vodka... 70 cal drinks! WOOT lol
  • I have no problem with lifting heavy weights. Granted, pushing up an extra 100lbs feels like heavy weights LOL So is the best way to do that with machines? Or free weights? I live in a town that has no gym. I commute to the city, but worry that I may not have time to fit in a gym right now (between full time work, kids,…
  • Actually I think what changed is that I told MFP that I wanted to lose 2lbs per week, which wasn't an option on scooby. I believe i put moderately active for both sites. With MFP I would/could have put sedentary but seeing 13oo calorie range, at this point in my weight loss journey scared the ****ens out of me, since that…
  • Wow can all you Americans send up some cool new flavours to me? (I am assuming it's the Americans that have so many flavours, because they had Mi0 before us. We only have Berry-Pomegranate, Peach-Mango, Strawberry-Watermelon and Fruit Punch here! I would LOVE to try some of the new flavours! Sooo jelaous! BTW I drink Mi0…
  • Did you measure yourself when you started? If so, try doing it again. Sometimes it's not about what the scale says, but about the inches. If you're working out an hour a day, and you weren't before, then you are likely putting on some muscle, which would mask fat loss because it wouldn't show up on the scale.
  • Do you think, if you bought it, that your family could cook up a bunch of meat for you that you could portion out and freeze? Then you could have it at home for the week?
  • Thanks so much for this. While I am a LOOOONG way off, I wondered how one transitioned into maintenance without suddenly jacking the calories. I couldn't figure out how one wouldn't gain weight again with a sudden increase. Now, I did the calculator, I am not entirely sure what any of it means. I know it's been explained…
  • OK, so what kind of strength training? I am in a Mixed Martial Arts Fitness class, I can only go 1-2 days a week, but I do 20 mins of the same exercises at home each day. It consists of sit ups, push ups, crunches (to the middle and each side), lunge kicks, lunge jumps, mountain climbers, burpees, leg kicks, squats, pulses…
  • Yes I am stretching before hand! All the same stretches we do in our MMAF class. That being said, I do think I forgot to bulk up my protein yesterday after my work out, which may be why I am more sore today. I am sorer today than the day after my 1.5 hour MMA classes, so I must have done something wrong. I suspect not…
  • Not injured, just sore! Not looking for excuses, just for the best advice :) While I am not thrilled to be doing more torture...erm I mean "working out", I am thrilled by the changes I see in my body from gaining strength, and by the 2 clothing sizes I have dropped in only 22lbs lost, so I will persevere.
  • Yeah, that's sort of what i was thinking too...I wish I wasn't...Those first few sit ups and push ups are going to HURT lol
  • In my Mixed Martial Arts Fitness class, we do a lot of sit ups (full), push ups, squats, lunges, etc. Then he ups the ante sometimes and asks for diamond push ups, or what he calls yoga style push ups (push up, then go up onto 1 hand, while lifting the other straight up in the air). We do small amount of work with actual…
  • Or do I push on, do this every day, and not worry about the water weight in my muscles for now? AHHH!! Too much to consider! lol
  • For me, it's that I simply REFUSE to be beaten by fat. I refuse to let the temptations and excuses win. *I* am the master of my body, *I* will dictate how heavy or light I am, or how strong or weak I am. Those are all up to me and only me!
  • Looking great! I am also 5'7 with a 7" wrist, and my goal is 160-ish. Currently at 256.
  • Outstanding!!! You look amazing!!!
  • This is my scale: http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/thinner-precision-round-digital-glass-scale-with-analog-dial/139670 I can get off and on it 3 times in a row and get the same reading each time, which makes me happy. It was also fairly inexpensive ($35cdn).
  • I have set mini-goals every 30lbs. I am still trying to figure out what reward I will get for each mini-goal though LOL. Even the reward for reaching my final goal is unclear. I have a couple of ideas...weekend camping trip by horseback (this won't work in the winter here), skydiving (also not a winter sport here), or…
  • EXACTLY!! When we were monogamous, we didn't share details of our sex life with people....now we're not and guess what? We still don't share details of our sex life with people. I would be uncomfortable discussing sexual frequency, sex toys, size, etc with my mother, father, sister etc...and I suspect that my family would…
  • I just love how everyone acts like non-monogamous relationships are some "new age" thing, and we are destroying the future of our species.... Sorry this has been going on for millenia!
  • for·sake [fawr-seyk] Show IPA verb (used with object), for·sook, for·sak·en, for·sak·ing. 1.to quit or leave entirely; abandon; desert 2.to give up or renounce (a habit, way of life, etc.). ALL others...so you gave up your friends, your family, (your kids if this is a second marriage)??? Yeah, I didn't think so. So you can…
  • Yoovie, the only thing unnatural about you is how H.O.T. you look ;)
  • Not mine either! Mine's based on love, acceptance and friendship. Mine's 10 years strong so far, and he still cuddles me to sleep every night, and makes me a cup of coffee and brings it to me every morning. Seems to be working for us!
  • <3 LOVE IT <3
  • I am glad that monogamy is working for you both! It's nice to see :). It's not for everyone though.
  • 100% agreed!
  • Thank you so much! We tend to think it's the other way around, that WE are the lucky ones.
  • So you just admitted to being antagonistic! Alrighty then. Yeah and *I* am the one damaging MY kids! Enjoy your views. This is the last of my time that I will be wasting on you, after all, it's summer vacation! I need to go screw my kids up more!
