I totally agree with this ^ Log everything anyway! And find someone in your life to help hold you accountable. I used to be horrible at weekends, but I was being held accountable (by my trainer), and started eating better on weekends because I didn't want to hear about all the bad stuff I ate or drank over the weekend. And…

Oh how I wish mine would go away too! I think I used to be a 36C, then went up to a 42DD at my heaviest weight, and now I weigh less than I did when I was a 36C, and my boobs won't shrink back down! It's infuriating. People just keep telling me to wait it out, they'll shrink again at some point. I'm now about wearing a 38D…

You're doing great! I keep lingering at that exact same line as you, so I would be more than happy to help motivate you to keep going, if you'll do the same for me!! We can do this!

You should definitely include strength training! As someone else said, muscle mass = calorie burn- maintains longer than just doing cardio alone. I understand about not being comfortable at the gym- I'm a bigger girl too, and was absolutely terrified of that weight area of the gym. But I hired a trainer (I know, not an…

This is something I'm working on too- I have this huge fear that I'll be hungry in the evening and will have already eaten all my calories for the day. So I tend to leave too many for dinner / evening... I do plan all my meals for the week in advance, but I never know if I'll be hungry later on any given day, which is the…

Totally possible- happens to me all the time- huge fluctuations. Mostly a couple days after I ate way outside of my calories. Like on Saturday for me- went out to eat, had some beers- weighed myself again on Tuesday and had gained 3 lbs. I lost it almost right away again, and then some since my Sunday weigh-in. I think it…

I love Zumba, and have been doing it on and off for years!! Feel free to add me :-)

They're great, but super pricey (and high in sugar). I used to drink one as a meal so they didn't feel too expensive to me at the time. Where do you live?!? I never paid more than like $3-4 for one and I used to live in NYC! I do miss the Green Machine- looks gross tastes like apple juice! But I agree with chooselove,…

I am a beautiful, responsible, sincere, and limitless woman!

I always eat some sort of high protein/low carb snack before I do intense cardio or strength training, and more protein within 45 minutes after my workout. If I don't eat before a workout, or too many carbs, I get that "glycemic crash" (or something), where I use up all my carb energy and feel like I'm going to throw up…

That's awesome, thanks for sharing!!

Good for you!! I find that when men show up in my Zumba classes that they're the most popular people in the class, no matter what the age! Hey, who doesn't love dancing their butt off? I definitely overhear snitty, vindictive women gossiping about others in the class, and I just feel sorry for them... Keep up the good work…

I'm on here and log daily- I would love to have any of you as friends here! Please feel free to add me, I'm always happy to send out some positive vibes!

Oh yeah, I get that "hate" from people. Backhanded compliments... although they never feel good... My favorite though are my friends & family who won't acknowledge my weight loss. At all. And yes, I think they notice.

I swear by the Anita maximum support, which I got on barenecessities.com. I didn't realize until I got my first one that there's no underwire, which freaked me out until I tried it and it DOES actually still offer great support. I do bouncy cardio classes and strength.weight training with a personal trainer, and I haven't…

HAHA!! Awesome analogy, thanks!!

Thanks, I will check out those articles! I do love reading up on this stuff and there's a lot to sort through out there, and then to see what's "real" or not... so this is nice...

I love my trainer also- I've been with him since July when I joined my gym. It's a huge investment, but totally worth it. He kicks my butt and motivates me on many levels, and I need as much of that as possible. You really do have to find a good match for you, otherwise it'll be a waste of time and money. Mine is an…

I have had slightly elevated BP for a few years but not enough to merit meds from my doctor. That being said, my BP has definitely gotten lower since I've been working out and losing weight. I know that high BP is sometimes hereditary, but even so, you should see some improvements! Have you been talking to your doctor…

Dang, thanks everyone! I guess I was still holding out hope that I was going off of bad information... guess not! I guess I'll just keep doing what I'm doing, maybe change it up a little with my trainer (I do some heavy lifting, but I tore my right calf muscle on Thursday night, so no dead lifts or squats in my near…

Welcome! I'm not new to MFP, but have just started participating on the boards, as I realize I need support too ;-) I'm sending you a friend request now!

Don't be discouraged!! It took almost 2 months for me to start losing weight (or anything notable at least), and I was doing both cardio and strength training. It's really frustrating! But one day, my jeans wouldn't stay up! It came out of nowhere, and not only did my jeans start sagging at that point that I noticed I had…

I used to use tons of sugar (and cream), but I've weened myself off onto Splenda. I know Truvia/Stevia stuff is "better" for you, but it tastes too funny to me... I also use fat free half and half. Not perfect, but I only have 2 big coffees a day, so I'll do chemicals as long as I get my caffeine! And with the cancer…

^^ THIS ^^ lowest cal I can find out there!!

That's awesome! Dead lifts used to intimidate me, and I'm now addicted to them!! I'm up to 200 lbs on them right now, and they're SO EMPOWERING! (and a great work out too!).

Oh, and if it's really bad GO SEE A DOCTOR. Unfortunately, there's really not anything they can do (except CT scans, MRI's etc.), as it's not something typically helped with surgery, but it couldn't hurt to get it looked at by a professional. Take care! one more thing- what helped me remain somewhat functional with the…

Wow, this just happened to me last night!! I thought it was something worse, but I was told it's a muscle tear, which I got during a routine Zumba class. My health club, trainer, and today my doctor all told me the same thing- ICE, ibuprofen (to help with any inflammation and/or pain), elevation, and rest. Depends on how…

That's awesome!!! (and thanks for being so creative!! ) It's a beautiful dress, and you have got to feel great! Have an fantastic date with your husband!

I don't like water, so unless it has a flavor I won't drink it (unless I'm working out). So I count flavored water, such as crystal light, mio, etc. as water, but not pop, coffee or tea. I don't really care if that's wrong or right, it's what works for me ;-)

Great topic, seems we all have those days!! I thankfully don't have them too often, but when I do, I either give in a little, find something else to do, go to bed, or have a protein shake.
