I'm in London! Used MFP successfully about 4 years ago, but have put on 2 stone in 2 years and am now the heaviest I've ever been - so need the motivation! Happy to be added by anyone...

Hi, I'm from London - I'm back on MFP for the first time in ages, and I'm going to stick at it this year! I've managed to put on all the weight I lost last year, so the aim this year is to exercise more and eat less of the bad things, but not to *diet*. Feel free to add me!

Hello all! I'm back on MFP after a 6 month hiatus, where I managed to gain all the weight I had previously lost... My new year's resolutions are: 1. Run a 10k in March and carry on running 2. Do more exercise and generally get fitter 3. Read more - I only read the paper these days, and have loads of unread books on the…

Hello from London! I fell off the MFP wagon a while ago, but I'm back on it again now...

I'm doing a version of this - a 10 week plan that I found in a running special of Zest magazine. I haven't booked in for a race yet, but was thinking of doing the Sport Relief 6 miler (which is basically 10k!) - will definitely need motivation as haven't ever run more than a few km!

I'm getting on board with MFP again after about 6 months off! And I'm aiming for a 10k in March/April (tho I haven't booked one yet) so would welcome all help and support...

Great news Lesley! Although be warned - I put on a stone when I moved in with boyfriend 3 years ago, which is what I'm trying to shift now... :grumble: backinthenines - it's great to see you're being so positive about everything. And yay to getting a dog! I've decided that as long as I do some kind of exercise every day, I…

Hi all, I'm having some issues at the moment in that I'm (relatively) good during the week, but completely let the side down come Friday night! My weekends have been a bit of a splurge recently - had some delicious pork belly on Sunday, but could feel my arteries clogging as I ate it... Does anyone have any ideas for…

I've been extremely slack and haven't done 30DS for 10 days... L1D5 for me today, and a lot pleasanter with the sound turned down and the radio on! Am hoping to get back into it, and start L2 at some point next week...

Put in my weight in the previous topic! Down to 140.25lbs - still quite get under the elusive 10st mark!
-
Down to 141.25lbs - didn't make it under 10st before the end of April!
-
Hi Ros, I'm down 0.75lbs to 140.75lbs - edging ever closer to under 10 stone! I went to Boots this morning to weigh myself, and although their scales say I've stayed the same, I've lost 1.6% of my body fat over the last 2 weeks! El.x

L1D4 complete! I did feel the ache in my muscles today, but I'm not sure if that was because of 30DS or because I went for a run yesterday... I'm not sure when I'm actually going to find it easier though! Off to Pilates in 60 mins - even I'm impressed with my motivation...
-
Sorry, forgot to give my location - I'm in London. Weigh-in tomorrow - have a feeling I won't have lost anything :(
-
Ooh, I love the new photo Lesley! And I'm very impressed at keeping under you calories on your birthday weekend...

Hi all, I've just started the Shred. I'm finding that if I do it 2 or 3 times a week, it's much easier to be motivated - I try and run or walk on the in-between days. There's no way I would do it everyday! But on L1D4, I'm already a bit bored... Still, it makes me feel good at the end of the workout! El

@becka63 - the funny thing is that I don't ache or hurt afterwards, but I do find it really hard going! Think it might be my stamina rather than my muscles that need working on...
-
Hi all, I was quite bad at the weekend - we were visiting my boyfriend's parents, and went out for a birthday meal as well as watching the rugby eating pizza, so although I didn't really drink, I did eat a lot! But back on it - walked loads yesterday - and trying to get under 10 stone by the end of the month. I've been…

Hi all, I've been a bit slack, so only on L1D3 today. When is it meant to get easier?! Still - I'm going to stick with it and see what happens... Think I'm going to go for a run tomorrow morning, and shred again on Thursday.
-
Hiya, Weighed in this morning and was 141.5lbs - 0.5 lbs more than last week, but it is TOM after all... Ros, I think you have my vitals, but if not I'm 5'7 (170cms). Is that all you need?! x

Well, on the database it says that a cup of tea with 30ml of semi-skimmed milk (which is loads! I probably only have 10ml) is only 15 calories. So I have no idea why it's saying that coffee with skimmed milk is more...

Hey all, I did L1D2 today - I had a couple of days off in-between, though walked loads on Weds & did Pilates yesterday. I'm still finding that first circuit a killer, and I find it a struggle to even complete modified push-ups! We're away this weekend, though I'm going to try and do it on Sunday - but lock my boyfriend out…
-
Hey all, I started 30 Day Shred this morning, and found it harder than I thought I would! I think I'm going to do Shred 4 times a week, and then try and run twice a week (if my body lets me!) but I need the motivation - and the accountability - of this thread. I'm hoping to see a difference by the end of April... Feel free…

Hi all, I'm in again! I'm a Southern Softie and am 5ft 7 (which I think is 170cm). I'll give my weigh-in details on Friday (I was 141lbs last week - I'm not expecting it to have changed much!) El.x

I'm not giving up anything completely for Lent - but I am cutting back my alcohol consumption to one day a week. Thought I might as well give it a try! More importantly, I'm going to make sure I do some sort of exercise everyday - be it weight training, running, or just making sure I walk at least 1 mile a day.

Bump - to read later!

Hi all, I have to admit February was a bit of a write-off - I went to two 30th birthday weekends at either end of the month, which involved muchos alcohol and snacks, and was ill in the middle of the month! Haven't managed to exercise for over 2 weeks, and have hardly left the house recently due to working from home, and…

Hi jenkins89 I have the same problem - I've put on a stone since I moved in with my boyfriend 2 1/2 years ago! He eats loads and loads, and needs about double the amount of food I do - he also does a lot more exercise than me... The ways in which I've tried to make it work for me are keeping tabs on portion sizes (he gets…
-
Sorry Southern Softies - I've not done too well over the last couple of weeks... Weekends are my downfall! I'm aiming for a loss this week, and started off as I mean to go on - with a 3 mile run! Here's hoping my motivation will carry on (though I am going to a wine tasting evening tomorrow...)

Hiya, I've been wondering the same thing - I want to up my protein uptake without drinking protein shakes or using powders. I eat hummus and peanut butter, drink semi-skinned milk, eat yogurt, cheese, lean meat, fish and pulses, but I'm always way off the protein level I seem to need! Any help much appreciated...
