The only thing i have to say is that i bought some what i assume are vinyl/concrete ones.. and now they have a rattle where some of the 'weight' inside has broken. That is annoying, but if you can get over the possibility that it will happen and if there significantly cheaper get them :D

I started C25K (google it) Its great and following a program makes me feel like im in training so if anyone criticizes me im like 'sorry im in training' Also i go fairly early in the morning when the only people around are runners who literally dont care that your there :D

I use podcast's rather than an app, i find it easier to not have a choice in the music i have otherwise my mind wanders. By the fact you used $ i guess your in the States? Here in the UK the NHS do podcasts which i find really good (and free)

Just pee outside? I guess this depends where you run, i walk and run outside in areas. seven day hike and you have to go outside so i have kinda got over that fear. However yeah if your in a street then i'd say hold it in and walk back sharpish!

Im not sure on them being as good as actual gyms, but i sure wished we had some round here! Anything that you do body-weight work on is going to be as good as doing body-weight at a gym in theory. im scouting local play parks for kids equipment i can use to do body-weight exercises on like pull ups :D

Don't wear shoes, problem solved :D Okay i know that's not everyone's cup of tea, but i've recently be trying it and its soooooooooooo nice. I would/will wear minimalist shoes if i choose to run 'barefoot' just because of friction etc..

Are sizes different across the pond? Im in the UK, and i know everyone body's are different but im currently 137lbs and have only just got into a size 12! Just wondering if sizing is different or whether where you carry weight is that crucial in people of our height.

I am currently at almost my diet goal weight of 135 down from 162.4 using mainly diet with a very low calorie intake (1200) . Exercise hands down, eating is hardly an issue for me (anymore obviously).

May aswel throw my hat in the ring too, I dont eat mine and wouldn't because if i dont 'need' them then why would i take on extra cal's. And what i mean by need is if i was feeling faint, dizzy etc from not haven eaten enough then of course i would eat back something i earnt so over all i would stay at my target calorie…
