I'm up for it

My advice: find something to be excited about or work towards. For me, its a new bikini for my friends beach wedding and to log for 100 days. On exercise, my first goal was 4 miles in an hour. Now I'm working up to 4 and a half. You have to motivate yourself. No one else can do that for you.

I think my favorite one so far has been a funny one. I was out with some friends and one of them was poking everyone in the stomach. I was playing it up like it had hurt and he stops to say good job he can feel my ab muscle. It was hilarious and motivating.

I agree that this is probably a conversation best had with your doctor's (possibly thyroid and obgyn) but I recently got the implant, Implanon. And it hasn't effected my weight loss thus far. In my opinion, it's super convenient. They place it under the skin in your arm and it's good for 3 years.

I use runkeeper. It tracks running and a number of other activities and links into myfitnesspal

I second going to see a sleep specialist, if this has been an ongoing issue. As someone with longterm chronic insomnia, getting professional help was one of the best things I ever did. They can also refer to others that can help. For instance, I saw a cognitive behavorial therapist for a bit to get my bed routine worked…

I use Melatonin to combat my insomnia and have for several years. It's not always a perfect solution but its better then nothing. Start with a low dose and work your way up though. In my experience, taking too much at once can actually cause you to have nightmares.

I usually skip breakfast unless I wake up particularly hungry or, like recently, my sinuses have been draining and it make me nauseous on an empty stomach. Lunch is between 11:30 and 12:30 before work and dinner when I get home about 7pm. I might throw an occasional snack in there and I make a point not to eat after dinner.

As someone whose been through multiple injures including a pulled shoulder muscle and six weeks in a walking boot, just keep to your mfp goals and take it easy. I did do some walking in the boot toward the later weeks but I was serving and used to being on my feet all day anyway. Right now I'm nursing a pulled ligament in…

Granted I usually only go one day due to work/money but I tend to just not eat. I'll eat breakfast before and then plan for dinner with my group after. Drink plenty of water and it's not so bad for one day. For a multiple day, I'd probably just go out for food or pack some stuff and leave it in my car (I hate carrying…

It's not a book but I happen to be rather fond of Nerdfitness.com. It has a lot of good advice and keeps the explanations relatable to real people. It might not be your thing but I've read through and enjoyed.

I only know of one person who lost weight while pregnant and she had terrible hyperemisses gravidium. She was sick from about the time she found out she was pregnant until they finally got a fenergren pump. It was entirely unhealthy and I wouldn't recommend anyone to try

There's an unclaimed cupcake in my fridge that I did not eat

I've had anxiety my whole life too but I've only recently been medicated for it. It doesn't effect me now but before we got the dosage right, it basically made me crash everyday by 4 pm. I was ready to be in bed by that point. I agree about the hardest part being getting started. Once I really get going its not hard to get…

I only wish I had that problem. 30 lbs down and still a solid D cup. This time around I'm fairly certain the first place I noticed getting smaller was my thighs.

I'm allergic to a myriad of different things but I found out by getting tested by an allergist when I was a kid. Mokey41 is right. They test you in office on the spot. I had 100 spots tested on my back and more injected into my arm. They itch something fierce. As far as I know, that's the standard practice for most…

This time around the first thing I noticed was, oddly enough, that my pants were looser at the knees. A little after that came the great gap in the backs of all my pants. Then my sports bra got so big as to be unusable (not that my boobs got small because 26 lbs in I'm still like a D). And then the only pants that fit were…

Ops double post sorry

I had some of this type of problem when I was just eating 1200 calories a day but now I just try to save some calories for an after dinner snack. Some days I use it and some I don't but its still a nice option to have at the end of the day. I don't think its necessarily wrong to let yourself feel hungry but I try to never…

I'll give it a try

When we gave my great grandmother her copies of my senior pictures, she said that I'd be very pretty if I wasn't carrying so much weight. I was 5'1" and only like 135ish at the time. Then again that women has only said one nice thing to me in my life.

I'm on here all the time. At first I tried not to drive myself crazy with it but I think that goal has long fallen by the wayside.

Totally me too! I'm dressing as one for Halloween. I already have an hourglass I just want it to be even more awesome then it currently is.

East Tn but not a big football fun. So no big orange.

Hi! I'm 21 and 5'1 (roughly) and my current goal is 130lbs. I started at about 160lbs so I figured I'd start there and see how I felt when I got there. I vaguely remember being in the 130s about 6 yrs ago.

Nice to meet you. I'm from Sevier Co. Area

Hi I'm Kerri. I'm 21 and in my senior year of college. I was diagnosed with IBS-A at 17 although I'd probably had it for awhile at that point. I've worked hard to lose weight and avoid trigger foods.

I actually live on campus but several of my friends are commuters and I make sure they know they can keep food in my kitchen whenever they want. Sometimes they take me up on the offer and sometimes they don't but it still stands.

Hi I'm Kerri. I'm a senior bio major/psych minor at Maryville College. I've slowly been putting on weight since high school but getting to 160 lbs over the summer was just the straw that broke the camels back. Now I'm doing my best to get healthy and feel better. Although lord knows the cafeteria isn't doing me any favors…

Hi! I'm 21 almost 22.
