  • I was on weight watchers for 4 months. I was pretty committed and I think I'd still recommend it. I lost a good amt. of weight on it, but their database is way too small. It was getting tiring trying to find the points to everything I put in my mouth. I also ate fruit and vegetables like crazy, not counting them when I…
  • I log whatever I eat from when I wake up, to when I go to sleep, regardless of where the sun is at.
  • I would think absolutely nothing bad or critical about you if you wore that top. If it's comfortable, go for it. Anyone that goes to a gym and judges others on what they are wearing or what they look like, can kiss it.
  • I'm a newish mom as well. It's hard finding time when you're so busy, I get that! I'm glad my diet is 100% predictable and controllable though. I have an open diary and I love motivating people so add me if you'd like! Good luck to you and to your new mini :).
  • What's your daily calorie limit at? I'm at 1200 and I have a public diary. I'm sure I have some things in there that guys would like to eat! I have a good 60+lbs to lose, though I'm focusing on 30 for now. If you need motivation, I'm your gal. Add me if you'd like.
  • I was 13 and playing hookie from school. I was watching the news in horror. I think that's the first time I really was introduced to pure hatred and evil....feeling it and seeing what it could mean.
  • One of the sexiest things about a first approach is CONFIDENCE. Go for it and don't doubt yourself. Good luck.
  • I don't have any advice to offer you but I wanted to let you know I really feel for ya. To have worked as hard as you have, then to still feel bad, is very heartbreaking. I don't think it's "dumb" to see your relationship w/ food as an addiction. There are all kinds of resources on the internet about this, some I've even…
  • I'm pretty consistent, and I take time to let my MFP friends know that we are in this together :). I log everything I eat, down to the embarrassing occasional whopper Jr. (no mayo-hey, I have to have BK every now and then). If you think I can help u, add me!
  • Not sure about spices, I know I'd put some brown rice, ground turkey, tomato sauce, beans, and green chili though :). Thanks for the idea! I was just thinking about making big stuffed peppers, now I might do these mini's.
  • You have 400 cals left to reach the minimum of what you should be eating. I stay around 1200 so I know it's not hard to get there. I would add more fiber like apples w/ greek yogurt, or maybe a heartier breakfast w/ eggs or toast. You can afford the carbs in a piece of toast and the protein of eggs. If you feel guilty…
  • This is all very interesting. I thought I was the only heifer that overate during that TOM! Those "vicious cycles" get me in trouble too...first chocolate...then salty...then carbs...then sweets again. Also, it's motivating to hear that we could gain during periods, that explains a lot.
  • Definitely Kim Kardashian. I love curves and I would never want to be skinny skinny. I'll take a big booty and chest over any model, any day.
  • I agree, 30ds is pretty rough on the knees. I focus on proper form as much as possible while doing the workouts and it seems to get me by. Having little ones and bad knees is bad bad bad!! Hop you feel better soon.
  • Sugar Snap Peas Popchips Cucumber w/ a tsp of Lemon Pepper seasoning Steamed Veggies Brown Rice w/ "I can't believe it's not butter" spray -I also love quartering a head of lettuce, sprinkling a tbsp of turkey bacon and lite blue cheese dressing along with diced tomatoes. -2 egg omelet w/ sauteed spinach, tomato, and…
  • Lol, I'm definitely not a calorie nazi, I have cheat foods! Like this Friday, it's my mom AND sister's bday and BBQ is on the menu....I'm not going to be sitting there with celery...that's for sure:). I just would like ppl who stay around 1200, maybe swap recipes or tips. Thx!
  • Wow, you don't have a long way to go at all. Wishing you the best and congrats on all the weight lost!
  • Hi  I have an 8 month old and a 4 year old. 4 weeks after I had my youngest, I was 13lbs over pre-pregnancy weight, but I gained a good 14lbs a few months after that! So I was so depressed knowing I had to lose all that first THEN get to losing my baby weight. It was a bad time but I started off by walking and am…
  • Sparkpeople.com Lots of good recipes!
  • There's a lot that goes into your weight makeup. Not only could the 149 have been wrong, but you could also have retained water since working out. Kick the water up and don't weigh yourself too much. That number on the scale will vary so don't expect it to be accurate all the time. I give my scale a range of 2-3lbs, though…
  • I got a Weight Watchers digital scale. It is pretty darn accurate. I go by ranges of 2-3lbs. If the # is lower than the 2-3lb range, I know I've lost weight. It was $35 at Target, on sale but probably closer to $40 at regular price. It also measures water weight, body fat, and bone mass but I don't check those numbers out…
  • That's good! Way to just let go and have fun for your vacay. I'm thinking about just letting loose and eating whatever for my 5 day cruise in January but I probably will only do that every other day. On another note, I totally binged today (Labor Day) and I hope and I can come out still losing weight by next week's…
  • Definitely. I've never been so motivated and I love love love seeing the lbs come right off. I'm glad I didn't let it get too far and that climbing this mountain is really more of a large hill :). Feeling in control is amazing!
  • I was on it for 4 months and lost 14lbs. It got annoying trying to find the point value for foods not listed in their database. Price-wise, I don't think it was worth it. I didn't take advantage of the online support like I do here though. With MFP, I like just punching in the calories and just being done with it! There is…
  • Alrighty then. Yeah I use my non-stick pans and love the way it tastes with chicken. I have chicken almost every day for dinner so I guess I was just thinking that IF I cut it out of my diet, it would save me at least 600 calories a week. That seems significant to me so that's why I ask. Thanks for your input all!
  • Hi gals, I'm in school right now, 24 yrs. old, finishing my Business Degree. I agree, it is very challenging. I struggle with my habit of snacking while I'm doing homework because no, I don't want carrot sticks. Thankfully, I'm getting a hang of it :). Friend me if you'd like:smile:
  • You can go one of two ways. Throw a pity party, or just tell yourself that tomorrow will be better and commit to making it happen. Do you have short term goals? How are you rewarding yourself? Have you tried Zumba or some other workout regiment that is fun? Is it a part of your daily routine? Do you have support from…
  • I'm definitely with you! I have a goal of mid-December as well as one on Jan. 5 so I fit this category :). GO 2013:glasses: Good luck to EVERYONE and may we finish out this year strong, but start the new one stronger.
  • I tried kale chips the other day. I thought I would LOVE them but I couldn't stomach them for some reason! I put spinach in my smoothies and am curious as to whether or not kale will taste that much different. Potato and Kale Zuppa Soup Submitted by: HITTIN40 (SparkPeople) This is similar to Olive Gardens zuppa Minutes to…

  • I'm on Implanon and from what I've heard, it works like the pill in some ways. Weight gain happens on this because of water retention and an increased appetite from the hormones. If you can control your appetite and drink lots of water to stave off water retention, that's your best bet. I've been downing water because I've…
