  • I seem to lose 2-3 lbs one week then stall out and repeat the process. I've noticed this happening for a few months now but haven't thought negatively about it. I think you're fine :)
  • I'm reading each post and taking something from it. I don't have anyone I can go to that won't judge me for this so I figured I could get some helpful advice from some people/strangers who may or may not have struggled with their weight. I also apologize if this sort of thread has been posted numerous times before! Still…
  • bikermike- that's very inspiring. Thank you.
  • Thank you everyone for your advice. I'm definitely not trying to minimize verbal abuse, I guess I worded that wrong. The main person I'm inflecting on is very fit and has always been so I'm not sure if that makes it worse or if they really don't know what it's like to be called names about your weight. Nevertheless, it is…
  • Yes, I'm talking about "heat of the moment" type stuff, not ongoing abuse. I've been making changes and have lost over 30lbs but I guess I just need to work on confidence, as well physically taking the weight off. Thanks for the reply.
  • I think it's a good question. I have a weight watchers scale as well and I seem to get pretty decent readings. I've wondered if there was an "accurate" position to stand in while weighing yourself many times. I wouldn't weigh over and over again and take averages and all that, I just take the dang number and use it till…
  • I have a goal of 150lbs but honestly, I just want to look good in my clothes. If I look good at 160, I might hang around there for a while. I definitely don't want to be "skinny", just lean and mean ;). *also, I'm 5'5 where 150 is at the top end of being at a healthy weight.
  • Found this in my local store after a MFP friend recommended it. The chocolate mint and peanut butter ones are decent but are better when you add peanuts :).
  • Do you have stretch marks now? You will probably have loose/excess skin when you lose the weight but if you don't have marks now, you probably won't have them after. *Also, you cannot prevent stretch marks. Moisturize and drink lots of water but that isn't really proven to prevent them...
  • Yes!!!!
  • Lingerie underneath sweats and a t-shirt. However, I can't quite beat that feeling right after a shower, after finishing a good workout. Love the music too.
  • Lol, awww :flowerforyou:
  • OTC pregnancy tests become invalid after a certain amount of time. The test can't tell if you became pregnant overnight. Go to the doc and good luck :)
  • I'm a weirdo too!! I can't imagine going a day without doing it.....yes, I'm letting my freak flag fly:embarassed: . I'm happy that I don't feel like it's a chore:smile:
  • You definitely need to get a cut and style by a professional. It really makes a huge difference when they show you how your hair could look and how to style it. They'll probably want to cut it high enough to get the split ends off but that's ok. Learn how to tease your hair and how to use hot rollers or a straight…

  • Hey there :) I'm 24, 208, (my heaviest was 238), and would like to lose around 60lbs. I have an open diary if you'd like to take a look at it. I've lost 16lbs in the last 2 months and really hope to lose another 12 by mid-December. Good luck to you :)
  • Hi :) I'm a 24 stay-at-home mom (also go to school full time online) with a 4 yr old and 10 mo old. My husband is oversees so I don't have help consistently. In order for you to follow an exercise regiment and diet, you are going to have to be extra organized. Is your little one on a schedule? You'll have to squeeze out…
  • Have you considered 30 day shred? It's 26 minutes from start to finish and combines strength training with cardio. I do it when my 2 kids go to sleep. By the way, I have a 10 month old too :) She's getting to be a little terrorist so I have only her nap times to work out :)
  • awww....I'm sorry :(. It took me 9 months to take off the 25lbs I gained. One little girl asked me, "if you had your baby, why do you still look pregnant?" Then my 4 year old asked me pretty much the same thing after I had my second. I'd be mortified if some stranger congratulated me though!!
  • I like the idea! I have two little ones and very little support from other moms.
  • I don't have great advice for you but if I was going to try a product, I'd try bio-oil. I have marks from my 4 year old and they have gotten lighter but you're right about the skin :(. Try toning body wash and lotion daily. I'm in your boat so you're not alone!
  • It varies for everyone. I know I feel famished the week before and am oblivious to the fact that I'm about to start my period. Then I think....ok this is why I feel like eating everything in sight, it's almost that TOM. I actually lose a lot when I'm on my period because I'm learning to control my eating. I don't think…
  • Oh girl, things are so much easier and funner when they do that (not a fan of hair balls lol)....kudos to you for liking it au naturale ;).
  • WW was fun to try and in the end, I'm glad I did it (lost 14lbs). However, I didn't take advantage of their site nor did I sign up for face-to-face meetings. I think if you're a person who likes paying for stuff, it's a good program for you. If you're content with freeeeee, go MFP. No difference for me though...I just like…
  • Hi. I'm 24 as well and am trying to get my degree in Business. I would love to lose 60lbs but am focusing on 20 for now. Add me if you'd like! I try to be as supportive as I can be without fakin it  If I'm not impressed with a workout, I won't give a hollow "good job" Good luck to you!!
  • By day 3-5, you'll see an increase in your agility. One of the best feelings of working out is that point where you realize that you just did something you couldn't really do before. You're going to miss out on that if you stop. Keep going!!!
  • I am experiencing the SAME thing. I have a good amount of friends on MFP but only a few who actually take the time to comment on other status's except their own. Hope you find some good friends, and hopefully other dads/husbands!
  • I've never been thin! I remember being around 170/180 and thinking I was fat. Now, I wish I could be that size sooo bad again. I miss my pre-pregnancy belly without stretch-marks!! I'm 213 now and I honestly can't fathom what it would feel like to be healthy and fit.
  • I think I may have it but am not sure. When I do the "test" by flexing as you hold your fingers around your belly button, I don't feel anything discernible. So I can't tell, but, when I flex my ab muscles, such as getting up from lying down, there is a small protruding bump that shows. It feels solid, like muscle but I…
