Keep your focus on delicious. You don't need a huge quantity to enjoy that.

Stroll around the paleo web sites. Check out Pinterest. Your library probably has paleo cookbooks. You can be as restrictive as you want or you can modify it to fit your life better. (This was in reply to the original poster - I forgot to use the quote function. Sorry.)

I would tend to agree with you for most people, but not all. My life-long insulin resistance issues have been stopped. Dare I say reversed? I'm also trying foods I've never tried before and finding that there is a lot more out there besides meat and potatoes and corn. Paleo is the best thing that's ever happened to my…

I've been eating paleo since May 2013, when I did a Whole30 at my doctor's urging. I'm 58 :) I am off blood pressure medication now. I was on 3 medications for diabetes; I am on 1 now. I sleep better and my mood is better and more level. I blog almost daily to keep myself on track and remind myself of what I've cooked in…

I'm pretty much a paleo person too. I have my days where I am not on target, but I stick pretty close to Whole30 (whole9life.com) and paleo about 80% of the time. I feel better in every way and tend to lose weight. I like to cook, so it works well for me.

I think that is a huge key for me. That's why it's a life change and not a diet in my life. I can live with the exercise I do, the foods I eat, and the knowledge that I can have something off my usual track on my day off. I was doing WW for a year and always had a day off, and I lost the first 50 pounds. I stalled and have…

Eat the right foods and find an exercise you can live with for the rest of your life. I've been on a plateau for a couple months and just am now breaking through. I've paid attention to where my calories are coming from (i.e., fresh foods, lower fats [not fat free], planning and tracking) as well as continuing my exercise…

Love the bangs and the extra huge smile! Your hard work shows. You should be really proud. Thanks for sharing.

Love the progress pix! Keep em coming. They really have an impact on me :flowerforyou:

I use a digital scale, but it doesn't measure body fat. As long as you're consistent with which scale you use, you should be fine. And don't weigh too much! It can get frustrating.

Your smile in the last picture says it all!

I exercise in the water. The class I'm taking is a water walking class and just before it, there is an arthritis class. I've "graduated" to doing water Zumba once a week now, and I feel so grown up! I don't have RA, but I have had two knee replacements. The water is our friend.

keeponkickin - Thank you for sharing those photos. I have lost 55 pounds thus far and would like to lose 50ish more. I'm sort of stuck right now and am working on getting my mojo back. Your pictures help! (Gotta figure out how to put photos in here so I can share mine.) I put my before and current photo in my profile.

Good nutrition, exercise, and sleep should be the pill of choice. I used to think there was a supplement that would be an appetite suppressant. Nope. Not a crazy question at all, but wouldn't recommend a pill.

Cheese sticks, chicken breast, shredded cheese, cottage cheese, eggs. I have diabetes and the hardest thing for me to accomplish is meeting protein goals each day, so I'm working on that. I also always have Yoplait light yogurts and snack packs of sugar free pudding for a sweet treat. Fruits and vegetables seem to overflow…

You can indeed drink too much, but it doesn't sound like that's a problem at 128 ounces. Agree that you should check into how much you should be drinking. Man, you must be taking potty breaks a lot! :)

Stick to high quality shopping. Raw eating of eggs and meats is not recommended, but I'm not sure what the difference would be here versus where you are. Welcome to the US and enjoy your stay. I think you'll be fine here.

That's great. Congrats on sticking with it!
