I've been reading your story, ConleighS, and am hoping you're doing okay still. I had steroid shots in my hands and my BS went way up for a few days. Best wishes to you.

Mind games? "I lost it and now I can do what I want" thinking runs rampant when I'm at a weight I like.

Raising my hand. I was diagnosed with PCOS at a really young age, started my monthly later than my friends, had issues becoming pregnant, and have played the can't lose weight because of PCOS and can't repair damages of PCOS by losing weight game. As I have aged and gotten beyond the reproductive issue, I've accepted it…

Any time I hear "can you eat that?" it's annoying.

Catching up on discussions on MFP and then realizing some of them are years old :)

I'm not a tea believer. I drink it because I enjoy it, mostly cinnamon/apple caffeine free tea. Makes me feel like I'm having a snack.

I made a pact with myself 22 years ago to read every day. One reason was to stave off future dementia. My mother suffered from dementia for at least three years before she passed away. One of the first things that she did was stop reading. In my mind, that was reason enough right there. For reasons that have nothing to do…

I have an interruption in my schedule today; I'm taking my sister for a medical thing. My plan for today is to not let that interfere with my food plan for the day. I'm going knowing that it's so easy to grab a snack before, during, and after an outing like this. I'm going to spend the time waiting either walking or…

So far, the two I have had were run-down-your chin juice and delicious. I paired them with a cucumber and chicken sandwich. My neighbor’s cucumber garden runners over! I love cherries and they are good for my diabetes too.

Start slow. I tried DDP yoga and my back wasn't happy. I started walking 1/4 mile a day and worked up to 1 mile a day after a couple weeks. A little pain is normal, but continued, lingering pain is not. I expect the muscles I haven't used in a while to remind me they exist, but if they remind me for longer than a few days,…

I can watch True Stories, a David Byrne movie, anytime. It's so very odd and yet, it's so satisfying.

Riding and shining and trying to think of what to pre log today. It’ll come to me!

I’m in VA too. Donna

Isn't it amazing, the things we go for! I'm with you on the bread and butter. Sigh.

I try not to eat the same breakfast every day, but I do eat a lot of the same types of things for days in a row. As for planning, I try to plan the night before what I'm going to eat during any given day. It doesn't always work out - today, I bought peaches at the farmers market and peaches with cottage cheese won out over…

Happy almost noon to you all. I've been to the farmers market, had my planned breakfast, and plan to do some sewing this afternoon. It's supposed to be super hot here today. I'm glad I got errands and my walk done early! Donna

Late night eating (alone) is a problem for me too. I always plan a snack and have set bedtime to 10 p.m. instead of midnight. It's the best thing for me right now.
-
Encouraged. I was out at the farmers market with my son today. We were hemming and hawing about whether to go to breakfast and I said I'd prefer to eat my planned breakfast at home. And I did. If I can do that today, I can do anything today.

I trend higher with protein because of diabetes. Same with fiber. I don't avoid carbs, but I do try to limit them somewhat.

So far: Me - 14 LSN - 2 It's a challenge every single night. LSN won out when I was out of town and there was another night earlier in June that gobsmacked me. I will beat this addiction, and I do consider it an addiction for me.

Morning! Just checking in to say hi.

I’m not sure I’ll make 25, but I’m in! (Scrapstitching on MFP)

I just don’t like being the fat one ever.

My Alta doesn’t seem to count steps when I push a cart, so I try to push the cart one handed

Looks like not a lot of activity in here or am I missing something?

Kind of new to this discuss, but not to MFP. My May saw a loss of 8 pounds. I have MFP set to one pound a week loss, so doing okay there. I’m reading Beck’s Diet Trap and am being reminded of so many reasons and strategies that I already know, but need to reinforce. The biggie so far is to not eat unplanned foods and if I…

My 2 cents - make sure you are hitting the vegetables, fruits, and lower fat choices of protein as much as possible. There's no reason not to indulge if you log it, but keeping with healthier and varied options is great for the long run. Be kind to yourself!
