Hiding rocks—— I leave one at each campsite we go to painted with my FB travel page address on it. Several have been found and people will leave me messages saying they found it and a little about themselves. Fun!
“An Idiots Complete Guide To RVing” is a must for all RVERS, newbies or experienced. I have it too!
Fifth-wheels can be HUGE! I definitely would not want to tow one around the parks. Great for full timers who stay in one place for a long time though. Just like the “park models” or other named “tiny houses”.
Nice light rain yesterday. This area really needed it. Sunny and cooler today. I’ve only seen rain like this twice since last August when we left CT!

Rye in Texas RV’s can be configured in many different ways with separate bedrooms or not, with bunk beds or not, etc. ours is only 27 feet long so only one bedroom, no couch, but a nice dinette. We replaced the queen bed with our new twins to make one large king size. Lost one night table in the process but with it for the bigger bed. My DH, 3 small dogs, and myself need the room! Lol. We had separate rooms when we had the house and I worked. My DSD was concerned when she found out we were going to a king bed in one room, but no problems came up. We have been doing this since April 1, 2017 and still enjoying the experience!

Okie
On Sunday? Dinner is usually between 5:30 and 6:30. Just enough time to drive from OK to DFW - lol. John thinks pot roast should be a winter meal, but I’ve always loved it in the summer.
Rye - I’m actually NW of Austin so I have plenty of time to make it for dinner. Ha!!

Beth - nearly all the crew are Filipino. The executive chef is German and he is the one cycling the 61 miles of the canal today. The German food tasted exactly the same as in Dusseldorf.
We went to the Rumba classes and I enjoyed it, but DH didn't get on with it. The rythmn is more tricky.
Then I had a nap and later we went off to the Arms and Abs class. I can feel my triceps!
Classical concert before dinner and then dancing.
Then a West End and Broadway show from the resident dancers and singers. It always fun with great costumes.
I'm feeling reluctant to get changed, but feel I would like to. Haven't worn a short dress or skirt yet. Hmmm.
Tomorrow is our last full day on board. I shall be so sad to leave as we won't be on this ship again. They are selling it next year. This is our third trip in the same cabin and we are very attached to the old girl.

One of my favourite photos. I just texted it to my brother to share with my father (who does not have nor want a smart phone). Me and dad.
I just noticed I still have the same hair style! LOL
Dad was a recreational Mountain Climber before his back surgery in 1979. After that he was a trekker and would disappear into the foot hills of the Andes or Himalayas for weeks of hiking. To stay in shape for the treks he would climb DOWN the stairs in the downtown Chicago office building where he worked. 3X a day down 39 floors.
I often find myself standing just like he does, hands on hips, right leg bent in front of me- lol.
After his bout with pneumonia and rehab stay early this year, my brother bought a treadmill for him and he faithfully walks a couple miles a day in it now.
I am so glad I will be visiting him in August.

Donna how were your peaches? Love white peaches and black cherries with cottage cheese, tho the window for both is narrow. Resisted when the cherries first showed up, but Friday they were so big and beautiful and black that I succumbed. Even got two tiny white peaches. Hoping they'll sweeten and soften in the brown bag. The cherries are pretty but lacking that rich ripe flavor. That'll teach me patience!
So far, the two I have had were run-down-your chin juice and delicious. I paired them with a cucumber and chicken sandwich. My neighbor’s cucumber garden runners over! I love cherries and they are good for my diabetes too.

Ooh having one of my prepared salad bags. There's three servings in each bag, and I bought two bags so I'm set for the week for lunches! Pairing today's with chopped cucumbers and cottage cheese, Oh and a tomato. I have four tomatoes on the counter whining at me to be eaten. Haahaa!

Found some cute cards from Fathers Days past. Youngest son is the artist of the cursive writing and sweet drawing of him hugging Dad. The middle son created the others! My eldest son, I guess we bought catds, because I have not a one from him! Or one of my major cleaning sessions got rid of them....

Looking at 90 degree and high humidity today. I was going to do some outdoor work I am waiting until tomorrow. I will work on getting our basement ready to paint. We plan to get new carpet. The carpet down there is 40 years old. I still like it but it is wore out.

Happy Belated Birthday, Rebecca - you share it with my oldest son. I'm feeling pretty good; but, it is the 3rd day after surgery on Friday; I'm sore. My 'man-servant' bought me a 'new' heating pad and it is one of those over-sized one. Put it on back, on neck, then on the front of my chest. The surgeon was so good in explaining everything, which I think help alleviate any fear I'd have if he had not told me that my chest would hurt a lot for several weeks. Dime-sized bites of everything; and, stop when I feel full - don't worry if I leave food on the plate, savor everything and know that I will be the last to get finished eating. I lost 3 lbs., since colonoscopy - don't doubt it since I had to go through prep twice. Next time I do that I will only use magnesium citrate, even if I have to use 4 of 5 bottles of it. Did not see any polyps so that is good thing. The Marshmallow barium swallow was a royal pain in the @$$. I'm still constipated and if I don't go by Monday I will have to call them. I've used a stool softener and a laxative - nothing yet; maybe by tomorrow. I need to be drinking more water; but, I have to drink it hot, warm, or room temperature. I guess I need to add some lemon juice to it.
Not much happening, sunny but rain all around us for several days. We need rain!
Take care ... I'm trying to.

For real and my grandson is so BIG. I told her this morning when they were at our RV telling us goodbye, that she just gets lost in him. She said I know, I love that. . They are so over the moon. Makes my heart smile.

Beth
Oh Beth, I am. He was molested by an older kid from the time he was seven, we found out when he was 11. He has been in and out of drug rehab since he was 16, he's soon to be 25. This is an answer to prayer of the countless faithful family and friends for many years. We are truly blessed.

Rye: I can understand your thoughts on RVs. I don't plan to give up my home base and RV full time. I'm looking forward to "cruising" as we used to do on our sailboat. We'd go on a sailing adventure and come home again until the next one. Some were close to home, and some were ocean voyages up the coast to the San Juan and Gulf Islands, and then back home again. DH's health makes sailing impossible so this is our new plan for adventure and fun. Some people make it their new fulltime lifestyle. We're hoping to regain our old lifestyle, but on the land instead of on the water. Your dad sounds like a wonderful man. I'm glad you'll get to see him in August.
Lanette: I am so glad you shared the information on Terry. I hope everything goes well for her. :flowerforyou:
Rita: I'm happy that you are enjoying your new lifestyle.
Heather: Take loads of photos of everything you love about the ship. It would be great if the eventual buyers will use it for cruising in a new area.
Rebecca: Wonderful Father's Day cards.
Allie: I love the photo of Kyle and Tracy, and wish them happiness. :flowerforyou:
Margaret: Good news about your friend. I'm happy that she's getting her appetite back.
(((Janetr))): I'm so happy that your grandson was able to overcome a bad situation and eventually attain happiness. That is a great blessing. :flowerforyou:
DH wants to go see his sister before her surgery, but that doesn't seem like a good thing for her. She is quite uncomfortable at this point and would rather see us after her surgery is done. She'd like a bit of time to heal. I am going to stay out of it, and leave it between DH and his sister.
