Remember that you will see more of the horror stories of gastric bypass surgeries posted online than success stories. It's only natural that people who have had a bad experience or complications will want to talk about it or ask questions. There are far more success stories out there than people realize - but those folks…

Mix it into ground beef/turkey meatloaf, or use mixture to stuff peppers or zucchini - really yummy and adds some nice moistness to the meat. Also, this sounded great although I haven't tried it yet. Buy chicken thighs/legs/breasts (whatever is on sale) and cook in crockpot with enough salsa to cover chicken, for 4-6hrs on low. Mango salsa is especially good -shred and serve over rice or in burritos/tacos. Inexpensive and yummy - makes enough for several meals.

I use almond meal and parmesan cheese, mixed with some italian seasoning to coat chicken strips. My kids love them and it's healthier than standard crumb coatings.

There actually is a $14.99 Keurig attachment that allows you to use your own coffee and control how much/little you put into the cup. We use all sorts of coffees with ours and control the coffee strength by modifying the cup size.

I am 10 weeks post-op from RNY gastric bypass and have lost 56lbs. I follow my eating plan, track all of my food/water/nutrients, and walk 2-3miles per day. I feel better and have had no complications thus far thankfully. My husband had the surgery almost 3 years ago, has lost 205lbs and has kept it off by proper eating…

I agree that this surgery is a drastic step that shouldn't be done for non-medical reasons. That said, it can be a huge blessing and a great tool for those that truly need to lose a lot of weight for health reasons. My husband had the RNY gastric bypass almost 3 years ago when his BMI was over 50, he was almost 400lbs at…
