That's awesome.

Dammit, I've been doing it wrong this whole time.
-
I could learn from you.

:drinker:

Did he explain why? Not the part about not breathing, of course.
-
Yeah, that was totally where I was.
-
I didn't think I was that loud, that was why I was surprised people turned to look.
-
I don't have pictures, but I've seen changes in 3 weeks. I got ~significantly~ tighter. I use StrongLifts 5x5.

She's not wrong. I use almond milk if I need something "milky" but don't want a lot of calories. That's it. It has virtually no nutrients to speak of--except calcium, which is added to practically every other milk-like beverage.

I'm another girl who did not want a wedding--and think that the way people fuss over weddings nowadays is beyond insane. That said, a relationship must be built on compromises. THAT said, if she honestly feels that his refusal to have a wedding changes his status as "the one," I'd tell the potential groom he lucked out on…

Why should I not ask how many more sets? If you have one more (and you're using the only power rack in the gym), I'd wait. If you have 5 more, I'd do something else.

I <3 this. Yeah, the author of the article was a little abrasive, but if you can't take the writing, you probably can't take a serious workout either.

I think people cheer for their local team because you can actually attend the games in person when it's located locally. In regards to players moving away, I have a favorite player who is going to play for Detroit next season. I will probably always keep an eye on his career and root for him, unless he's playing against my…

Haha! I'm staying at a kinda fancy hotel right now and I was thinking that I was looking really good when I looked in the mirror. Then my friend came over and (without any prompting from me) observed that the mirror has a flattering height/weight ratio. Oh well.

Whoa buddy, just because an above-95lbs Asian girl has been unfairly told she is fat her entire life, and you happen to disagree with the assessment, does NOT immediately make you Prince Charming to her.

Right now I'm eating Power Crunch protein energy bars and various Balance bars. To be totally honest, they taste almost NOTHING like what they're supposed to taste like, whether it's "triple chocolate" or "s'mores" or "cookie dough." :-/ But they're convenient, and they do deliver decent nutrition to you when you need it…

Protein bars are traveling staples for me. I eat one every 2-3 hours so I stay satiated and won't be tempted to eat junk. I also like Kashi Go Lean cereal--it's high protein and high fiber so it fills you up. I measure up a cup's worth and throw it in a sandwich baggie and just pack several baggies. Have fun on your trip.…

Thank you for repeating the joke. That was awesome! I totally remember reading about the title of the bio and thought, oh yeah?

Yes! I was surprised no one has ever mentioned this before. I have always thought it was the perfect pre-workout meal, a bit of caffeine combined with liquid nutrients. I just dump in a scoop of vanilla whey, a scoop of chocolate whey, add coffee, soy/almond milk if I need extra calories, and ice. Instant caramel-like/…

I know. Where else can I brag about my rough hands?! Cheers. ;- )
-
I'm totally not where you are yet. I'm currently only lifting 75% of my body weight (just started deadlifting a coupla weeks ago, but have been squatting for about 2 months). I am also doing assisted pull ups, but they hurt my hands, too!

If you want to be fancy, you can do balsamic, pecans, and/or of course, bacon. But for super easy, go with what tnqnt wrote: olive oil, salt + pepper, 20 min at 400 degrees oven. I could eat pounds of them in one sitting.

Haha! Like I said in the beginning, I am actually enjoying having a callus issue. :- D

If I do go the gloves route, I will have to look into that. That sounds like a really good idea.
-
I love it. Initially it seems like if Team Gloves is winning. Now the non-gloved ladies are coming out. I understand the concept of developing my grip strength. And I want that. It's just I'm impatient. And it seems so unfair I'm being "held back" by my hands when my legs/back can handle the weight.
-
Thanks for the photo. I'm not worried about my hands becoming un-girly. I just hate that my grip isn't as strong as the rest of me. But I do have smaller hands, and I have heard about the padding in gloves influencing the grip, which I wouldn't want.
-
I will look into the Rippetoe video. Thanks.
-
Gotcha. VERY clear description of the sporting store name, btw. Thanks. :- )

Yeah. I was getting pretty frustrated cuz I KNOW I can lift more, but my little hands hurt! Bah!
