Burn Circuit 2 done. I haven't felt this sore in some time. I did BC1 on Monday, practiced my Zumba routines Monday night, then Insanity workout yesterday before teaching Zumba last night, then BC2 this morning. No practice or classes tonight but I teach Zumba tomorrow evening (on top of doing TF 45) and Friday afternoon…

I bought a pair of adjustable weights (up to 25 pounds each) from Wal-Mart for $70, I believe.

Good morning! Did an Insanity workout this morning. Loved (and missed) it! Re: adding more cardio. Ladies, just say no. I just think a lot of people get caught up in the burn numbers being low that they have to add more cardio. If you're not adding more calories to your daily intake, your body isn't going to be happy with…

I just restarted CLX today. I did a sort-of full round (I started in the Push phase as I had just finished Insanity prior and my coach thought it would be a good idea). That round was a hybrid with TF. I also started a CLX-only round but never finished. I became licensed to teach Turbo Kick and Zumba and that sort of got…

Good morning, everyone!! I'm back. I started with BC1. I'm doing my own scheduled hybrid - all the CLX lifting days as well as some TF and Insanity workouts. The first two months are 5 days a week and then the last month I'm going to add some yoga in on the 6th day.

I can understand that, Jennie. Whenever you start to feel like that though, why don't you just go ahead and look at your before pics, mmkay?? Ooh, streaming Internet TV. You fancy, Reese!!! LOL I'm glad you ladies are staying on track. I was supposed to restart CLX on Tuesday and slept through my alarm (which has become…

Or maybe you didn't blow it at all! How do you feel? Is the number that important? I've stopped stressing myself out with #s - just body composition. I'm back to lifting. I think you were doing lifting programs too, right? And you know the saying about muscle weighing more than fat. :-) Look at yourself in the mirror,…
-
Jennie, I'm going to make you hold out your hands so I can hit them with a ruler. smh 1.2 pounds, really??? *insert not pleased face*
-
I'm restarting the program tomorrow (lifting and abs only though) and don't plan on logging my calorie burns at all. Instead, I'm going to eat a certain # of calories on those days (1750-2000) and count my burns on non-lifting days (I do Zumba on those days).

There's a great group that you can join. Great group of very supportive women in there too! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/335-chalean-extreme-support-group

Yes and yes! And also some very lovely muscle tone too!!
-
My tip re: tricep pushups, make sure your hands are directly under your shoulders. So much easier to push up from that position.
-
I'm (once again) repeating the second week of the Push phase. I'm trying to find a better way to schedule all the things I need to do in my days! And I'm trying to find a way to quit sleeping through my early alarm (I've began setting two because I continue to sleep through the earlier one!). Heather Rae, that is AWESOME!…

All lower body exercises, I'm at 25 pounds in each hand (but that's because I don't have heavier weights). For biceps, I'm at 15, triceps, 10-12.5, back, 15-17.5 and shoulders, 12.5-17.5. It really all depends on how much sleep I got the night before. LOL

Hola! I was supposed to do PC2 this morning and slept straight through my alarm. Mondays are always hard since I tend to stay up too late on Sunday. LOL I'll do it tonight though.
-
My final weigh-in is 142.6. I have sooo much going on now that I'm not going to be able to commit to the next challenge. I wish you all the best of luck. Keep pressing forward, ladies!!!
-
I'm almost there. I think I got up to about 1800 calories yesterday (I didn't log everything, so a guesstimate). I'm shooting for the stars today!
-
I just read a thread from someone who says she struggles to eat 1200 cals a day. Made me realize I need to stay in here. Still struggling to log everything. It's hard to get back doing something when you've been a lazy butt, but I'm going to try my dandiest today.
-
Just wanted to place my mark on the rollover thread. I'm about to do CLX and see how my muscles react after being off for 2 weeks. Yikes!
-
Nuts are a good, healthy calorie-dense snack as well.
-
To be totally honest, I don't know what I'm eating right now because I've done a piss-poor job at logging my food. I am probably very close to it though as my regular cals per day w/o exercise is 1680.
-
I'm not at 2k YET (working on it) but I came in to say you know what I love about this group?? Looking at all of the profile pics of you ladies eating anywhere from 2-3k per day (on workout days), you all have FANTASTIC bodies. I wish more people on this board would come in here and realize that it's okay to eat (healthy!)…

I forgot to weigh myself this morning. I was just out of it this morning. I had to have my oldest daughter make my younger one's sandwiches for lunch today. I need to get it together.
-
140.2 I'm pretty sure that'll go up next week since I did two fitness trainings this weekend (Zumba and Turbo Kick). My body is finally liking me again!
-
Thank you for the tip, ninerbuff!! My presenter today did stress the importance of learning how to read your class and adjusting the workout to fit them. I do plan on taking some TK classes before I even consider seriously inquiring about leading my own class(es). Thanks again!
-
Thanks, manjin! I did A LOT of Zumba prior to cert. TK -- I never took a TK class; I only did TurboFire. Yes, there are group fitness and personal training certs too. Those are done through groups like ACE and AFAA here in the U.S.
-
Pammy, one thing my friend told me when I told her the same thing (I'm waiting until I get to my goal weight) is that I shouldn't wait until then. Get certified before I'm there and by the time I practice and get comfortable enough to teach, I should be at my goal weight. It makes total sense because, trust me, unless you…

Here are a couple of me: Before: During (I'm still quite a bit away from being satisfied with what I see in the mirror):

Bumping this since you just did your training. Did you change your outfit at all during the day? I'm wondering if I truly need to bring a change. My "cute" workout clothes are limited.

I'm currently doing the ChaLean Extreme program - lifting 3 times per week with cardio 2 times per week and stretching one time. I was doing the CLX/TF hybrid before. Got rid of 11 unwanted inches but the cardio was a bit too much for me. I'm enjoying doing just CLX alone.
