  • I'm a slow poke but don't mind! I ran 3 miles today in about 40 minutes. Enjoyed new music on my playlist and sang along as i ran. Great run today!
  • I have been having the same issue. I am a short distance runner (3-4 miles a day), and i had a great run this morning. The difference? I made a breakfast that included protein, dairy, carbs, and fruit. I felt awesome!! I'm definitely going to continue eating a well-rounded meal each morning and see if it helps.

  • I agree! You have alot on your plate. I feel for you. I think caring for one person would be hard, but two makes your life quite busy. I think you need an easy form of exercise that is readily available at home. Do you have a treadmill or any exercise equipment available? If not, youtube offers great exercise routines. You…
  • I think its like any other big life change, it gets tiring after a while. I always think of it like holding a beach ball under water. At first its not hard but after a while the fun is over. You just have to keep fighting for what you know is a good thing. I am having the same problem after 40 lbs of loss. It's a pain in…
  • I wish you the best of luck! This is a really supportive and fun place for losing weight. I am constantly inspired by all the great success stories. On your comment about food entries (And I know I'll probably get some people who disagree), I had that same problem with what to pick when there's a huge list of items that…
  • Good luck! I hope you do well. It's a great goal. Feel free to add me if you want support.
  • I think you made a really good first step, you joined MyFitnessPal! Good for you! I know it's scary when you first begin but you are going to do great. Just start small. Walking is great exercise. My husband started a few weeks ago and he has already doubled his time and speed. Also, eating healthy is pretty simple, too.…

  • As usual, the crabby people are out, spreading all their negativity and rudeness. Just ignore them. It is about pushing through....it's a battle...sometimes every day. You're on the right track and I hear ya on not being new to this. I've gained and lost the same 50 pounds many times in my life. One thing that really…
  • That's exactly the right attitude. So many people think getting healthy is a do or die thing. It's not. It's your life and you have to live it as consistently as possible, but we all have blah days and overeating days. It's ok! Just get back on it. Good for you for understanding that and good luck. :)

  • Excellent job. That's quite an accomplishment.
  • Don't you love surprise boys?? I have one, too, who is 5 and makes our life just so much more fun. Good luck, everyone, on your journeys!
  • I felt the exact same way when I started...even running at night to avoid as many people as possible. The suggestion to get a treadmill is not a bad one for two reasons: if you are just starting, it's a stable and flat surface to run on and also, it's easy to start/stop when you get tired or worn out. I do enjoy running…
  • Hello! I am sorry you are struggling. I think what happens when we struggle with weight is that we get a sense of desperation or apathy because nothing ever seems to change. The main difficult of changing any behavior is that it takes time. If you're like me, that's a real bummer because I like to see change right away.…
  • I don't get why people have to be negative. Quoting people and pointing out what's wrong with what they say is NOT supportive. Give em' a break! As for the topic of this thread, my husband is very supportive. Like some others have said, he does not comment either way about my weight. He also is working out with me and has…
  • It's very hard to lose a parent...and with depression like a cloud over you, it is even more difficult. I'm sorry you're going through this. I suffer from depression and I know, in my case, medications didn't help either. Sometimes I just have to find ways to be happy in my own way. Maybe its not the Hollywood version of a…

  • I eat low carb so I feel your pain. Every meal is a constant problem to solve and my family gets annoyed with me. I haven't lost friends but I know that any time you improve yourself, you run the risk of outgrowing the people around you. Here's my suggestion, find ways to go out but not eat or drink things that jeapordize…
  • Thanks so much. I am going to check into all these suggestions.
  • Feel free to add me! I am in it for the long haul too!
  • My mother taught me to love my family and to be kind, among other things. I miss her kindness.
  • Hi Brandie! I feel ya when you talk about staying on task. It's a daily battle for me. I wanted to wish you luck on your journey. Feel free to add me. I log every day and will cheer you on!
  • Good job!
  • Friggin awesome ! Love it. Keep us posted.
  • Blogilates on YouTube. Check it out!
  • I listen to hip hop, pop, and classic rock. Right now, my playlist starts with Missy Elliot, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, and ends with AC/DC..lol
