Plagarism aside... All the toxin talk-which toxins? They're throwing that detox woo around again. I'm pretty sure people on dialysis aren't having their blood cleansed with lemon juice. The fiber in a lemon is from eating the lemon. I'm pretty sure there's no fiber in the juice. Are we supposed to be drinking the water or…

Huh? That's PROTEIN. It seems like you've got your mind made up. Are you going to give any consideration to the suggestions that you posted here for?
-
So you don't you just do that now and avoid unneccessary diets? No one lives on soup forever-it's a good idea to practice long-lasting lifestyle changes rather than torture yourself with soup.

I actually do the straight leg with dumbells, I haven't had a problem but I try to be very mindful that I engage my core so I don't hurt my back. I also like single leg dead lifts.

I hear ya about the grip strength. I don't have wrist injuries, but I've often thought that I could lift more weight if my grip strength was better. I fear the flying kettlebell. I second the farmers' walks, I do them with my pair of 20s, but might try going heavier with dumbells at the gym.

Actually I gotta advise against Bob Harper's kettlebell DVD-it's not awful, but last I checked (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) I don't believe he's actually RKC trained. Better off with the other DVD recommendations. And please, PLEASE, stay away from Jillian Michael's kettlebell DVD. It truely IS awful.

Exercise helps me sometimes. Running, especially.

You're using your legs, butt and core to create that momentum, and your arms are acting as a fulcrum for the weight. It also creates a great cardio effect. I agree with the others, if you're wrists are coming into play, you need to check your form.

Last spring, right after I obtained a personal best on my 5K time, I developed bilateral calf pain. It was bad enough that I had to stop all activity, limiting myself to moving around my work and that's it. I went to so many doctors this summer, having different testing done, specialist consults, etc. and the end result…

Hello all, happy new year! I swam once over my holiday vacation, but I wanted to see if you guys had input/opinions... I got my ears pierced (2nd holes) about a week and a half ago. I've been getting mixed messages on whether I can swim or not. The woman at the piercing place said I could, online I've read that I…

You will find you will very quickly outgrow those bells. I don't know what your starting fitness level is, but for example, I'm currently two-hand swinging a 36 lb bell, and switch btw a 20 and 25 lb bell for things like snatches, deadlifts, goblet squats, cleans, etc. Stay safe and enjoy!

Yea, I'm thinking we don't want any reproduction here...
-
Um....no. This is not healthy. It's just another meal replacement shake-what's that teaching anyone? Once you stop, the weight will come right back.
-
My goals for 2016-1) run a 5k (first one since my unable-to-diagnose leg condition started 2) do a full pull up 3) do a one-armed pushup.

Aw, I used to have a ball python that looked like this, his name was Nelson. He passed away. I still miss him. He used to sit with me and wrap around my hand or on my shoulder. My husband keeps tarantulas too-helped me get over my fear of spiders, but I still don't think I'll hold one. They are facinating animals though.

I do this exactly. I make sure I still go to the gym and eat well the day after a day of indulgence. It's the holidays, enjoy it!

You know the best possible way to sustain the environment? If people stop having so many damn kids. the earth cannot sustain the quantity! (ok, end side bar). In all seriousness, there will be this study, then a bunch of other ones saying the opposite, and back and forth we go. Eat what you like. Don't overeat. Be…

I don't. :-( Is it good?

I don't have a lot of my bucket list-I probably should take the time to give it more thought. I had one-run a 5K. I completed that last year. Did two more and achieved my next on the list-get the 5k time under 30 minutes. I had added another to the list-complete a 10K, but then I developed some leg pain that is better…

I love potatoes, all varieties. Top 'em with anything-chili....cheese...broccoli..spinach and feta...sky's the limit. Plus...potassium.
-
The eat less and move more diet.

I do this as well. I consider it harm reduction-because if I haven't had time to cook large quantities on the weekend, it's a lean cuisine or I go to the cafe at work. At least this way I know my calories, etc. I supplement the meal with veggies, maybe a sandwhich thin. I will go for a few weeks like this, and then get…

Those are the three types of macronutrients-everything has at least one of those. Except maybe water.
-
Huh? Their life expectancy was a lot less back then too. Not that carbs are the reason but...you do know there are carbs in fruits and veggies, right?

A Garbage Plate. For those of you un-initiated, a plate is a Western NY creation-you put your choice of two-macaroni salad, baked beans, home fries, or french fries, on a plate. Place two cheeseburgers or hot dogs on top. Cover that with hot sauce-which is a greasy, meaty, acid reflux inducing mess, and then mustard and…

Good god no. Kettlebells came waaay before crossfit, and are a fantastic tool for a workout program if done correctly. I agree with the others about finding an RKC. I have read tons of books on form and watched videos on youtube by RKCs like Sarah Lurie and Lauren Brooks. Those would be good places to start.
-
I like their workouts, but a word of caution on their kettlebell workouts-their form is awful. You're better off looking up RKCs if that's what you're after. But the rest seems fine to me.
-
Um, no. I swim pretty well, and I burn about 400-450 cal per hour. I don't understand your first sentence at all.
-
How about if you put the salad on their pizza? Then would it work?

People like to misuse the word addiction. But no, it's not addictive. You experience cravings, but not in the way an addict craves a cigarette, or a drink, or another drug. People don't rob stores or prostitute their bodies to support their sugar addiction. No one is going to jail for possession of donuts. In all…
