I tend to look up whatever I've juiced and add the word "generic" to it. For example, generic beet juice. I just guess on amount. I figure it's so healthy for me the calories don't count as much. :)

I have an Omega masticating juicer that I've pretty fond of. I'd have to look for the model number. Pricey but worth every cent, especially if you juice a lot of greens.

Check out www.jointhereboot.com for different ideas. My favorite juice contains lots of kale and spinach, a carrot or two and then whatever fruit I have (usually apples or oranges) to add a slight sweetness. I've done several 10 day juice feasts now and drink 2 to 4 juices (16 ounces) a day for my snacks. In those mixes,…

I'm not going to say much, just that if the news isn't good, send me a line. Every set of biopsies means I have to remind myself that no news is good news. It doesn't mean I don't stress but I know my stress won't change the news. Make sense? I'm here if you need a NED (No Evidence of Disease) to talk to. And yes, Dr.…

I'm plant based now too. I was pretty much eating that way after being diagnosed with cancer and reading too many research studies to count. I watched and learned about FOK, China Study, etc, after all this...... and almost all of it matches. I read "The Pleasure Trap" and it helped me see that I needed to go cold turkey…

I pre-log, especially if I know I'm tempted to eat something I shouldn't. Eating what I haven't entered means more work so I tend not to eat it. Whatever works.

Careful with water.... since I switched to plant based foods, I need far less. Too much water can be as bad as too little. Unprocessed foods have a much higher water content, aka salad versus dry cereal. I no longer subscribe to the 8 cups a day theory. And yes, I know I'm biased but I sure feel better and no longer have…

If juicing is done RIGHT, it is incredibly healthy. Unfortunately, too many of us don't include what we need. When I juice feasted I was never thirsty, so your comment worries me about what is causing it. I always put my juices into MFP to keep track of the nutrients.... not sure if you are. I made custom mixes so I always…

All animal products (meat, cheese, milk) and alcohol. They are both addictions for me so I'm going cold turkey.

I struggled for years with eating things "in moderation." I finished reading "The Pleasure Trap" book and now I get why I can't have just one. These certain foods are like a drug to me and science is starting to look at the reaction they cause in some of our bodies. It's very close to a chemical/alcohol response for some…
