I'm in unless it pours down rain and the dog adamantly refuses, in which case I will do yoga. I am actually hoping to do both.
-
You can add me. I have become a total gym addict, and I never thought that would happen!
-
Thanks for posting. I, for one, had not seen it before. :)

Yes I was wondering the same thing. I use BodyFortress which is the Walmart brand. It has a good amount of protein for a reasonable number of calories- similar to your first one, with details depending on the flavor- and an excellent price. I am not switching to a more expensive brand unless one of y'all gives me a really…

Hmmm. It skipped marking my quote again :noway: I tried to quote you mdcoug!

I'm also starting to think about what to do after I've finished this program. The sessions are taking a little longer than I'd like, so I think I want to find something that takes under an hour to do. [/quote] I was thinking this also this morning at the gym. I just have 2 more workouts of Stage 5, then move on to 6. What…

I had to look to see what PB2 was- never knew such a thing existed! Thanks!
-
When I do it, I count all of it as part of the recipe, knowing that I overestimate, but I'd rather overestimate. It cooks down (to less volume) so it's otherwise difficult.

Yeah. It was my embarrassment from the "President's Physical Fitness Test" in high school. That and chin ups. I am still working on the chin ups haha. But I'm young yet!
-
BTW my present to myself for my 50th birthday was to do real push ups. I had never ever in my entire life been able to do them. Now I can!
-
AWESOME! Congratulations. Please friend me if you want more friends! I would love to keep seeing how you do! Having said that- I was just thinking earlier today about my own journey. I am 51. I got "mad" at myself in December, 2005 (!) because I realized I could no longer fit in my jeans and my weight was way up.…

Good news- I'm better! Did yoga yesterday and 5B today. I guess no one else is in stage 5 right now

Hi- I've been at my goal weight for a while, and working on toning up some- building muscle and trying to lose a little fat. Well so rather than use a goal weight, I use a measurement of the part of me that tends to gain weight when I gain weight- and as long as it doesn't increase I don't worry about the scale.
-
How did you lose the first 30 lb? Sounds like you just need to do more of the same. I think that will give you a better idea than trying to imitate someone else. Having said that- since you asked- I have been on MFP for almost 3 years, and have logged every single day minus Christmas, 2012 (Christmas Day- one day). I do a…

bookmarking this one.

So I did 5A again today. Unfortunately pulled my anterior deltoid on the one arm dumbbell snatch so that kind of messed up a lot of the workout. The good thing, though, was I did better on the planks and body weight matrix. Just drank my protein shake and took some ibuprofen. Hopefully it will be better by the time this…

You're right! 3B and 5B are the same except for the numbers. Wish I had noticed that- it would have made it easier to log!

Hmmm IDK why it didn't put my quote as a quote - anyway thanks CourtnieMarie!

I hear you with the planks. Just did Workout A on Saturday and got in two 90second planks and a 95 second plank. You just have to make sure you’re pushing yourself as far as you can! It should be hard :). I haven’t been able to do a complete matrix yet, either. Saturday I did 24, 12, 6, 6 and then 24, 12, 8, 8 both within…

Yeah- I agree with the measurements. Follow your measurements for 1-2 weeks and see if they are changing. Meanwhile- look for topics on "plateau" for a lot of good advice on how to break a plateau. And please don't give up on the weight training! You will love the results.
-
I totally agree. I made the mistake of NOT doing that- and now I am dealing with trying to put on muscle without gaining back a lot of fat weight. It's HARD!
-
So, I just started Stage 5 today. I am really pleased with how I am doing with the weights, but there is still no way I can do a full 2 minute plank, and I am really bad at the body weight matrix. On the plank, I can do max 75 sec- and not 3 times, the third time I barely made 40. Doing it on an incline doesn't seem to…

Lower-body focused workout?

Wow. Just wow. Happy Independence Day!!!!!!!

I agree with all of the above, but will add something else. One way MFP has really helped me is to show me how to add little things that satisfy me kind of mentally. For example, a Hershey Kiss has only 22 calories. And it's chocolate. Give yourself a little tiny treat once in a while. It will keep you sane.

New Rules. I'm just finishing stage 4. I love it.

Do it for you: so you will have a longer, healthier life, so you will fell better about yourself, so you will be more confident. Better yet: do it for those you love, so you will be able to share more time and healthier time with them, and to be a good example so that they too can be healthier and more confident. And…
