Welcome - love your attitude and the source of your strength!

I would probably change it - think of it this way: you'll show a bigger loss in the end! (I would hate to have to do it as well - isn't a shame how easy it is to become focused on "the" number? But I totally get it!)

Northcentral PA - obviously quite rural :) It's the same parish I grew up in - it's an old parish (founded around 1840) and a beautiful church overlooking a valley, but very small with many families who can trace their roots back to the original founding parishioners. Very different from the 3000+ family parish my husband…

These sound great - I think everyone in my family would actually enjoy them! Thanks!

Hi! I just found this group after reading about the Christians Unite group on a board - would love to join! I'm a cradle Catholic and have recently re-commited to MFP as well. I am the DRE at my church (a small parish of 300 families) and work as a school nurse. I try to look at my weight/health as a continuous journey,…

I can definitely see the difference - you are doing great! Keep yourself surrounded by those supportive people - you will do this!

Hi Tammy, Just "re-joined" as well after doing so last July. It's definitely a day by day thing, but that's okay! - Finally realizing that slow and steady is just fine as long as healthy lifestyle changes are made along the way. Good luck and feel free to add me!

I am definitely pro-scale. Every time I get away from weighing myself regularly the pounds creep back. It's too easy for me to rationalize or be in denial otherwise. I weigh daily, as well, although I know a lot of people don't recommend that. If it discourages you to do it that often - because your weight will fluctuate,…

Saucony Omni - forget which model? Making a note of the Mizuno Wave Rider - I have high arches as well, and I think the Omni may have too much stability for me. I was fitted at a running store when I was about 15 pounds heavier and had not been running (or even walking regularly). (Still not "running" consistently, but…

You look fantastic and are an inspiration - way to go!

I also aim for 1200 calories and occasionally fall short (some days I hit it too easily :) I add extra olive oil while cooking or on foods if I have the calories. I also don't do fat free anything (unless it is naturally that way) - low fat yogurt, 2% cottage cheese taste better to me and are a bit higher in calories. I…

I'd love to be added. I have done some reading awhile back on clean eating and am trying to move towards that again. I am trying to cut out processed foods and the refined sugars, white flours, etc. but am not 100% there yet.

^^^ This I've only joined here yesterday but am definitely not new at counting calories (or "points" - same thing, new name). I can definitely stay full and meet my nutritional needs at 1200 calories (or even a bit less some days), but it's the cravings or mindless eating that makes me think that I sometimes need more.…

You can definitely tell - you look great! Keep up the good work!

Congratulations - what an achievement!

You look fantastic - congratulations! Our stats are very close so you are quite an inspiration - thank you for sharing.

I'm new here and would love for you to add me, if you'd like. I definitely don't want to lose the curves, as you mentioned. But I am only 5'2" and it doesn't take many pounds for me to go from curvy to just "circular"! I also don't want to do anything now that I can't see myself doing for the rest of my life, and that…

I think that for most of us, poor food choices is what got us here, whether quality or quantity. Keeping a food diary really works because it holds you accountable - whether counting Weight Watcher points (did that), or logging food here and staying within your goal. I, for one, could never say "I will never eat that…

Thanks - sounds delicious!
