  • Welcome to MFP Mr Tractor! You have chosen a good site to join, it really does help to keep track of all food and exercise, and you can see the difference on the report charts even if you don't see it in yourself, which only encourages you to keep going. Good luck and looking forward to seeing progress reports from you.…
  • I'm not an addict but I do enjoy the class, I go to 2 lessons a week and a body pump classl The teachers really do make a difference to the workout. My Body Pump class is good because there is a rhythm to the counts and repetitions, but the Zumba teacher is not so good. His repetitions are not always on the beat, and not…
  • this time next year i'll be expecting my first baby...i hope!!!
  • welcome to MFP, you will love it here, its easy to use and to follow, and you will receive so much support from other people. Wishing you all the best....NOW LET'S GET THIS! ;)
  • what kind of exercises are you doing?
  • I log all my food and drink on here, and if I do any form of exercise, like walking to the train station or cycling to work, and gym classes, i log those too. The calories I have burnt from the exercise are added to my daily calorie goal which means I get more calories to eat! :) but as I have put them in as a daily goal…
  • whenever you are doing any excercise try and hold the correct posture and hold your stomach muscles in, so you are working them at the same time as the other muscles you are working on.

  • congratulations!!!!
  • it is possible, but you need to have the will power and keep focussed. So you had a bad day and gained? That is in the past, look to the future, try to keep to your daily MFP goals and do 1 hours worth of any exercise a day as long as it gets the heart beating faster and even makes you sweat a little! It IS possible, if…
  • yep me too!! ! went WAY over my calories both days...BUT next week is a new week, and also my first week on unemployment, so I have more time during the day to exercise! I will shift those naughty weekend calories by Friday (I hope!)
  • its such a great feeling when someone notices....i have lost 3kgs (6 lbs) which i think is minimal but today at work someone complimented me on my improvement...it gave me more incentive to hit the gym hard tonight!
  • This advise is perfect for me.... thank you!! I caught a small cold about 3 weeks ago, then I got caught in a thunderstorm and was wet right through, which brought on an ear and eye infection. My mum then fell ill so I had to travel all day by train to get back to the Southcoast of England (from Amsterdam) to be with her -…
  • well done on the promotion for this, I have donated already due to a certain Bostonian Man supporting the Jimmy Fund too (aka D-Dub to his followers), but also because my ma has recently been diagnosed with a form of Leukeamia. So everyone, get your cents out and put some money towards this good cause....LET GET THIS! ;)
  • I had this advice given to me by a health expert... Before the workout have half a sandwich, nothing too heavy in it, but enough to get the energy you need, something like a ham sandwich. Then after the workout have a small portioned meal of pasta or similar to replace the carbs you just burnt. In the evening feel free to…
  • this is great...only last night the hubby was saying he could taste iron on me, which generally means my iron is low, so tonight we are having steak and vegetables. but to be honest, i do not eat a lot of veg so my iron levels are pretty low.
  • WOAH! A star is born methinks....now where's MJ's crown I think we found a replacement!
  • Thats great that you have small goals for each level...good luck with it all! My main goal is to be able to wear a sexy little 2 piece on Bondi Beach in November (see Ticker photo!) and actually feel sexy in it, which is not possible right now as I have a spare tyre hanging around me :grumble: hence the fitness regime! But…
  • I am finally home in Amsterdam and typing up my calories for today...but as today was my mums birthday we went out to lunch, and her best friend tricked us into having desert just so we could put a candle in it! i am not looking forward to seeing the final results on today's tracker......who made families cook?!! well…
  • I took my usual Nurofen 200 but I took 2 because I wanted the migraine to just disappear!
  • I am visiting the family in Portsmouth (UK) this weekend for my ma's birthday, so today me, my sis, her 18 month little girl and my ma went out shopping, which took 3 hours of walking really slowly (for my ma) and running after the baby around the shops. After only a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea for breakfast I was…
  • Thank you all for your kind words and motivation, it really does help alot...and I have now lost 2 kgs  I was so happy looking down at the scales when I saw that! Now to keep on going. smiles4smiles...I have been ordering Vodka Diet Cokes when I am out but thinking about it I could do my other favorite, Malibu and…

  • Well done on making the first leap......you can get through this, just think you will be able to run that little but further and jump that little bit higher when your lungs are cleaner and you can take in more air and hence lose that little bit more weight. I have watched my mam over the years trying to give up smoking…
  • well done...i can see the weight loss on the face and the arms. :glasses:
  • funny as...catch that wagon!!! I am slimming down because - apart from the *kitten*, stomach and back looking like a spare tyre - I want to look good on the beach when I get to Australia in November. Only thing is, once I reach my weight goal and I look stunning again :glasses: after 3 weeks of 'Australian' food I just…
  • I agree with mappy....fresh grapes and dried fruits are perfect for the film nibbles. I did this last Saturday with my friend, and we were so into the film we didn't finish all the grapes!!
  • English gal here, who also likes her drink! :drinker: Last Friday night was one too many vodka diet cokes but they were only 100 calories per serving so I tried to keep count! So Saturday morning I had the vodka headache. After a struggle with the sofa (and a healthy Subway sandwich) I actually managed to get out…
  • I live in Holland which has no hills (so I am jealous!) but probably has the same amount / or even more rain! :grumble: I suggest wet weather gear to be worn over the lycra / preferred cycling clothing, and keep your suit at work to change into after a shower. My husband cycles to work, and usually I iron a few shirts and…
