Compliments are ego boosts for sure but they really motivate me to work harder in the gym as well. Some of my favs are: Friend "Whoa, your lookin HOT!" My hair dresser "Dang girl what are you doing, you look like a different person. Your so skinny now I hope your done losing weight." Hubby "Geez you feel so small" (as he…

Female Age: 36 Height: 5'6 SW: 212+(I quit looking at the # on the scale) CW: 172 GW: 155-160ish Overall I just want to be HEALTHIER!

I've lost 40#s but still can't seem to get to that 50# mark I want to reach. Granted I have become comfortable with my current body so I don't track on MFP as faithfully as I did in the beginning. I do however eat less & am completely devoted to working out at least 4xs a week. I am trying to reignite the fire to be at my…

I'm 5'5.5 - 5'6, I guess it depends on the day  I have lost 40+lbs in the last 9mos, I would like to lose 50 overall. I started boxing classes at the end of January & am noticing positive changes in my body. My true goal is to not jiggle & to have good muscle tone. I'm TRYING to get over the scale numbers & remember…

My before & after are in my profile pic. I have since lost a few more pounds & gained muscle & definition since this was taken. I am not finished yet, I'm not so much focusing on the scale as I am body fat % & muscle gain. Plus if I keep going down in pants/dress sizes, I don't have much to complain about. It all started…

Job well done! I'm hoping to hit the 50# mark by summer! Congrats on your success

I am passing your story along to my husband. I know he can do it I am hoping your story is motivation for him just to start trying again. CONGRATS on your success!!!

Where you carry the weight has a great deal to do with size. Not to mention the fat to muscle ratio. For instance I am 5'5.5 & my cousin is 5'3 she weighs roughly 30lbs less than I do. However, we both wear a size 10 in most jeans & Medium shirts. It still blows my mind we are the same size but we have shopped together &…

^^^^^^^ Completely agree, what an accomplishment! How tall are you? A size 8 is my goal as well
-
You should be PROUD of yourself! That is a huge accomplishment, I wish you the best on your journey.

^^^^^^ LUV THIS!!! I too TRY to limit my wine or alcohol intake to the weekends. I weigh in once a month & typically do not drink several days before. I admit going overboard during December when I gained .8lbs. I kicked things into high gear in Jan. & lost 5lbs w/out completely sacrificing my wine needs.:drinker:

Premiere Nutrition Protein Bars, Double Chocolate Chunk is now my FAV  BONUS- they have 30g of Protein

^^^ I not only have that but it is covered in white stretch marks, do I win??? :blushing:

So happy to hear your story! I am trying not to focus on the big # that stares back at me & look at the physical changes in my body. Reading this will definitely help me remember to focus on things other than that pesky scale
-
Your ROCKIN' it! Keep On Keepin On (KOKO)!!!!
-
What a transformation, you look FANTASTIC!!!
-
AGREED ^^ I have 2 girls (13 & 9) I either have alcohol or lose my sanity :drinker:
-
^^^^^^Mine are leaving too, it was the one thing I liked about my body after having kids. I totally feel your sadness  Along w/my rings being too big, my shoes being loose. However buying smaller clothes has made it harder to find my size. I guess a Medium shirt is pretty common.:ohwell:

I'm 5'5.5 or 5'6 on a "tall" day  I started out at 212+ but am currently at 177. I haven't been this low on the scale in at least 13yrs. That being said, I would still like to lose more but I'm wanting to be fit w/muscle rather than skinny. So if the scale goes up but I look better I will do my best to forget the…

No matter how much I hate going out in the cold, I HIT THE GYM!!! I do NOT want to start over at square one & the only way to keep losing is to keep working out & watching what I eat. So heat wave, freezing cold, snow, ice, rain or shine, (in KS we have it all) my workout is priority!

BUMP:love:
-
YUM that sounds really GOOD!!!
-
CONGRATS! Have to admit I am envious of how much better you look @ 177 than I do
-
PERFECT, I'm trying to work these sections anyway, I'm in
-
I'm 36 in reality but holding @ 27 when asked

I applaude you for wanting to get in gear & take control of your life again. I also have 2 girls, they are 13 & 9 so using the "baby weight" as reason for being over weight for me seems ridiculous but I have done it. I was in shape up until after I gave birth to my first child & then it just seemed to pack on more & more &…
