Zumba, uphill walking on the treadmill and elliptical for 30 minutes. I really would like to incorporate more weight training however I'm not sure where to start. Any advice on machines, weight/reps?

Are you feeling physically better? The scale is only one aspect of your weight loss. Accept the positive statements from your family, temporarily separate from your scale (weigh-in 1/week on same scale) and continue to make healthy eating choices and exercise. I'm not a nutritionist, however when I was figuring out my weight loss plan, I read that ones caloric intake should not be less than 1200 for women. Have you considered a 2nd opinion or increasing your food intake with healthy choices along with maintaining your exercise for a week or two (as a test)? The change may jump…

Love, Love, Lovvvvve Zumba! The amount of calories lost in one hour is crazy! Doing zumba, walking up hill for 30 min., and changing my eating has resulted in my 5lb loss in less than two weeks. By changing my eating habit, I've lowered my caloric intake to 1400c/day. BTW/ I used to eat upwards to 2500!!!
