Welcome here. I understand the gaining with PCOS, I am trying lose my weight as well. It is hard but it is doable. I am current on meds for my PCOS, I couldn't handle many of the side effects, plus my doctor feels it is best for me right now with all my other health issues. No kids myself, yet, but that is my motivation to…

Several years ago my cardiologist wanted me to have WLS, but my insurance wouldn't cover enough and didn't want to deal with those kind of restrictions myself. It wasn't right for me. I do have diabetes on both sides or my family, but I don't have it yet, I am insulin resistant though. Thanks for all the kind comments…

I've been doing South Beach Diet, but I don't really consider it a diet, but a new lifestyle. I can live eating this way the rest of my life. I do have slip ups, but don't feel guilty and just get right back to it the next day. I feel better and happier. My cardiologist was the one the recommended it to me and it's been…

Dont know about a Metformin alternative, but I found taken mine at night helps with the digestive issues. As far as the hair, I am on spironalactone and it has made a big difference. I have been on spironalactone for over and year and have noticed a big difference. I normally have hair from toe, to head and back down…

Wow, this is awesome. You are amazing and such an inspiration.

It probably is why you are run down/hungry. I find usually when my is heavy or the first day, I tend to be very low on energy and can't eat enough.

I feel I am much better being on BC. The few times I have gone without, it wasn't ever good. My cycles would be wacky and my hormones all over the place. I get very emotional and tend to cry over anything. When I am on BC I for once don't feel like I am on an emotional roller coaster, plus I don't have the awful cramps and…

It's hard when you can't find a doctor to listen to you. I went years going to military doctors (my dad was in the navy) and they kept telling me I was fat at 10 because my body was getting itself ready for carrying a baby, plus other stupid stuff. Had issues when first finding out I had psoriatic arthritis. The first…

I have. I post about it on FB and everyone is very supportive. Have even had several friends message me on FB and tell me that I am motivating them to want to do better.

I was really ashamed at first, when I was a teenager. Made it really hard to get close to anyone. My mom knew because she was the one taking me to the doctors to find out what was wrong. I now openly talk about it. My husband is fine with all the symptoms that come with it. I am still embarrassed by the gorilla hair.…

I think I still have my caboodle and I hated jellys. They hurt my feet and then you would take them off and would see where the dirt was on your feet from the holes lol.

I remember my AOL chat days too. It's how I met my husband and still married to him 11.5 years later.

Here a few I haven't seen posted yet. My brothers had a talkboy and absolutely hated that thing lol. They recorded everything everyone said. My mom washed one of NKOTB tapes in the washer somehow and afterwards it played backwards and sounded evil lol.

Welcome here. You are welcome to add me if you like. Love having cyster buddies :)

I would do it. I have stuff I workout at home with but love having my gym membership. I have had a gym membership now for a little over a year and love it. This was my first time ever having a gym membership and I now find I love exercising. I was very inactive before. May do a DVD once a week but made excuses. Now I go to…

I have been on BC for years and it helps with the cycles, but now having an issues with the estrogen being too much. Doctor is in the process of finding something I can afford. Just started back on Metformin and only on it once a day. Upset my stomach at first, but that seems to have calmed down. Hoping everything works…

I notice when I don't drink enough that I tend to feel bloated. If I am not making tons of bathroom breaks, then I know I am not drinking enough water.

Never had results before, except the upset stomach. Doctor has put me back on it and only doing 500mg a day. And it has my stomach tore up lol. Hopefully it will work itself out. Going to try to stick with it this time.

I had a doctor suggest South Beach Diet and I love it. I can see myself eating this way the rest of my life. In a little more than a year I have lost 65 pounds. Also I go to the gym 3 times a week. I still have a long way to go, but I am slowly getting there. Either of you can add me if you like.

I hate being on the pill too, but it is the only way I can stay regulated. The last time I went without, I started on my own, but was on it for almost 6 months. I ended up needing a D&C after that.

Frogs, they absolutely freak me out. And drowning, even though I am a great swimmer.

I did my first 5k about a month ago and loved it. I walked the entire thing as well and close to the same weight. Just make sure you stretch before hand. I was a little sore the next day, but not a bad sore.

Not on Atkins, but I am on South Beach Diet. I just lower my carbs and sugars on here. Raised my protein. It all works out for me.

I have PCOS as well and have been losing weight successfully by being on South Beach Diet and exercising 3 times a week. I have been on my journey for a little over a year and have lost 64 pounds so far and I have 70 more pounds to my goal weight. You can add me and message me if you would like.

Awesome, you look great. How tall are you? Right now my goal weight is 180 and you looked good at 180 too. Just wondering so I can get a slight idea. I am sure my goal weight will possibly change once I get there, but I wanted to set myself a reasonable goal.
