  • When I first started using one I thought I was going to die after 5 minutes. I went back to the treadmill because at the time it was easier. I can now do 30 minutes on the elliptical with no problems.
  • I understand how you feel. I haven't been to an amusement park in years and used to love to go. You are welcome to add me if you like. I am at about the same weight as you and wanting to get below 200 myself.
  • Oh I was never told it was for blood pressure management. Most not do a lot for it because I am on 2 other meds for high blood pressure. Was always just told it was for the hair growth and was a mild diuretic.
  • I personally do the south beach diet. I have lost 57 pounds so far. It's slow but it is coming off.
  • I never noticed a difference myself, just upset stomach occasionally.
  • It took forever for me to go down in size in pants. When I started to first lose the weight I went down to a 1x in shirt and my pants size stayed at 4x (26) for the longest. Finally once I lost about 50 pounds, I went down in pants size. Now wear 2x (22). The belly will go away, just really have to watch the bad carbs and…
  • Awesome NSV. Keep it up!
  • Great laugh early in the morning. I have experienced every single one of these.
  • Would love to add a "0" to the 100 but as of right now I am unemployed, so we will be lucky for me to even get the 100.
  • You look great! You started about the same weight as me, but I am not at the 100lbs yet. Slowly getting there. I can't wait to get to 100 lb loss because my husband said he would give $100 to go get what ever I want (will have to be cloths lol). Great inspiration.
  • Hi Melissa. I also have PCOS and at the same weight as you right now. It is harder to lose but it can happen. You can add me if you like.
  • Spirnalactone's primary use is for hair growth
  • I have no clue. Don't have a health food store close to me so I never go.
  • Hi there. The belly is from the insulin resistance from what I understand. Cutting back on your bad carbs (basically anything white) and sugars should help get rid of that. I took the metformin but never really noticed anything but an upset stomach all the time. You can always add me if you would like.
  • I have the big muscly legs too. But I have notice that my cows are getting smaller. Just trying to embrace the nice big muscles. I always thought they were muscular before but now that the weight has gone down, I can notice that they are more toned now.
  • Yes people with PCOS can lose weight. It is much harder. I have been doing the South Beach Diet along with going to the gym 3 times a week for a year and have lost 58 pounds so far. It can happen.
  • Played flute. The high school band I was in got National Championship last year. We always had awesome marching shows. Miss it a lot. Haven't really picked up the flute much since then. If I had one, I am sure I still could play.
  • I am doing South Beach diet and it's been great for me so far. Been on it a little over a year and have lost 58 pounds. I also go to the gym about 3 times a week.
  • I shave daily. Sprinolactone helps slow down the growth, but I still have to shave every morning.

  • My mini milestone was this weekend. I was able to put on a ring my husband gave me while we were dating. I haven't been able to wear it in about 8 to 10 years. I have now gone down a ring size. I knew my wedding band he got me last year was getting bigger but didn't realize I had gone down a whole ring size.
  • I have been on South Beach Diet for a little over a year and have lost 57 pounds. I haven't noticed a difference with the PCOS yet, but I am still have 78 more pounds to go for my weightloss goal. Still overweight. I am hoping once I get out of the 200s, then I will hopefully notice a difference. I myself love being on…

  • I have about another 10 pounds to hit my half mark. Can't wait to get there.
  • Thanks everyone. I will look into some of these. Like I said earlier, I don't eat bread all the time, but when I want a slice or a sandwich, then I don't want it sweet. I usually freeze mine as well because if I don't it goes bad before eating it all. For the most parts I eat salad for lunch, but I like to have a change. I…
  • Thanks minkakross. I think the closest we have to a bakery around here is in Kroger's which I believe they have some bread there. Guess I will check it out.
  • Well, I don't do bread often, but occasionally I just like to have a sandwich with tons of lettuce and tomatoes. Maybe the next time I am near a costco I will check it out. Thanks.
  • fishgutzy, yes Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder as well. LizzyAWDavis, I have Psoriasis as well and have Psoriatic Arthritis, but haven't really noticed a change in diet helping either. • I also have PCOS and it a struggle. I have been working with losing the weight for a year now and down 54 pounds. I am doing the South Beach Diet and love it. It's not really a diet because I will be eating this way for the rest of my life. I get to eat good and never hungry. I log my food on here, but don't have to. I am…
  • South Beach diet is very restrictive the first 2 weeks because you cut out all fruit and breads. But that is where the big part of the weight is lost. It helps curb cravings and jumpstart the weightloss. After the first 2 weeks you slowly add the whole grain wheats. I have become a label reader. You don't have to measure…
