Thank you all for you thoughtfulness. :)

Actually my problem is only partly that I have a sluggish thyroid but the bigger issue is that it doesn't convert T4 to T3 very well and so my levels look normal but I am very symptomatic. I was up to running seven miles when I last talked to my doctor. I was tracking food and exercising five days a week. It's not in my…

Thank you. I am an over all super positive person. More than anything, I felt embarrassed that I gained that much weight and felt like I was kind of hiding it. It seemed like just getting it out there was a big step in letting it go and moving on. Thanks again for your support and kind words. :)

I feel very much the same when my thyroid needs adjusted. It's horrible! My doctor recently switched the ratio on the two thyroid meds I take which is helping BUT she also told me (all but wrote out a prescription) that at least every couple weeks I need to take a few minutes to do something for me. Something beside…

From what I calculate your TDEE is between 2300 and 2600. I would say closer to the 2600...maybe even a bit more. I was just not wanting to over estimate. Be sure to check your BMR too so that you don't eat too few. You probably already know that but maybe not or maybe somebody that reads this won't. So eat in between BMR…

Awe, let me see what I can do!

I don't have a photo bucket account sooooo https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151681776910052&set=t.744755409&type=3&theater Most awesome birthday cake my family has ever seen!

Start slow or find something you think you will love. If you don't love it, try something else. If you like to dance, give Zumba a shot. If you like walking, keep trying to go a little farther or pick up the pace when you can and it may just turn into running someday. Try swimming or bicycling. Anything that sounds fun to…

Pushups for women can help to enhance a flat chest but I don't think it would be so bad for you. If you are eating at a small deficit, strength training and getting reasonable protein you will probably have a positive result. If you can't afford a gym membership, then try body weight HIIT workouts. You can find some videos…

Tenth Doctor for me but my hubby is a fan of pretty much all of them! I should post a pic of his birthday cake I had made for him a couple years back...I'm pretty sure a few of you might just be in love with a cake!

Log a veg or fruit and it will show you right next to it the carbs and other macros...you could even set it to show micros too. :)

I didn't read all the comments so sorry if I am repeating. I suggest quinoa. It's yummy, filling and low cal for the serving size. I made some cheesy quinoa bake last night and added chicken to it and it was super yummy. PM me if you would like the recipe. :)

I agree about tracking your headaches as well as your food and exercise. Some other triggers are caffeine, your back needing adjusted, some allergies (I am allergic to a cologne that well give me a headache if I am near someone wearing it for even a few minutes), several other foods can trigger them. What part of your head…

Congratulations! I bet you are finding all kinds of amazing things you can do now that you couldn't before. Every tiny victory is such a huge motivation to keep at it and you have had a huge victory! Way to go!

1 or 4 but because I can only vote for one I will go with 1....I don't wanna be a deadbeat mom.

Mix it up if you can. Good luck to you. :)

Some foods can have a negative impact on thyroid function when eaten raw for people who already have low thyroid (stuff like broccoli). If you happen to have any health issues, I would do a little research before going for it but at the very least you will have to be careful to get all your required nutrients and make sure…

I'm a big fan of "Thank you for your opinion" and then walk away. Or you could always say "I know right? You should have seen me 65 lbs ago!" I bet they wouldn't even know what to say to that. Plus then it leaves you the better person. :) Keep at it, you are doing amazing! I was just talking to a friend tonight about how…

Running three to four times a week is enough. Run however long or whatever distance you want. You are doing just fine as is but I would think about maybe signing up for a 5k or something. Also, doing some kind of strength training (even yoga or just body weight stuff) would be good to do a couple days each week. Try to…

It looks like a slight difference particularly below your belly button. You're doing great.

It's hard to tell particularly where you can't see your whole torso in the pics...can you feel a difference? Do you feel your muscles are stronger (with or without touching them). I always feel good when I can feel my stomach muscles and they just feel stronger and tighter.

If you google a TDEE calculator that will tell you your approximate burn so you want to eat somewhere between below that but above your BMR. After that and you have had a chance to get good at logging everything (weigh & measure) then you can out more research into all the more detailed stuff to meet your particular goals.…

Don't feel like you need to lose all the weight you want to get rid of at once. Google your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and your BMR (basil metabolic rate) and try eating about half way between the two. Unless you're like 4 1/5 feet tall you could be doing some major damage by eating less than 100 cals a day.…

If you don't feel like sticking to body weight workouts you can find all kinds of things to use as weights. Milk jugs filled with water, bag of potatoes, a small child, spare tire, college text books, look around you house (you can even pick up one end of your couch).

Disney World Full next Jan! It will be my 1st full. Sooooo excited!

The last few lbs are a little different though because of typical fluctuations and just the fact that our bodies want a little padding for when food is scarce. Most of us don't go several months with a lack of food though. Of course, I am not an expert. I'm just happy to be figuring out what works for me, which is have the…

A few years back I was eating 1400 to 1700 cal a day and working out for at lest 2 hours a day plus was on my feet all day at work and I was still gaining weight. Turns out my thyroid functions was very low. Pretty much the only people that eating at a deficit doesn't work for are people with medical issues. Other wise…

I had my newest addition in Sept and am breastfeeding as well. I try to come close to my cals at least most days instead of feeling like 200+ cals under was a good thing. Feel free to add me if you wish. :)

You probably could up your cals at least a couple days a week. I don't know your age but for what I through in there it looks like your tdee (total daily energy expenditure) is 2110 and you bmr (basil metabolic rate) is 1685. Your calories should be between those numbers to lose weight in a healthy way. If you go too low…
