Out near Spirit Mountain Casino (about half way between Salem and the beach).

Depending on what I'm using it for, I use real butter, coconut oil or olive oil cooking spray.

Great job!

You haven't filled out your food diary so if you aren't tracking it someplace else, perhaps you are taking in more calories than you realize. I know that it's really hard to estimate accurately. Heck, it can be hard to stay accurate even with using a food scale (hint, weigh everything that isn't a liquid even if it is…

Have you checked out quinoa bread? I don't know the carb info because I wasn't really counting carbs when we were using it.

I eat at least 1600 a day at 148 lbs but I'm pretty active. I recommend not going any lower than what you are at now and I'm guessing you set your goal at 2 lbs a week. Maybe see how that goes for a while but I would add more exercise (mostly for health benefits rather than weight loss) as you can and increase your calorie…

Way to go! The best part of your transformation is your smile...it is a truly happy smile. The world needs more of those!

Orange smiles, ants on a log, graham crackers with a couple options of things to put on them or dip them in...

As others have said, more than starvation mode, it is a matter of high calories and not enough nutrients in their diets. I'm sure what you read was regarding people still in their own homes so they can actually store food and cook things so the do need more education on how to cook things like beans, rice and quinoa but if…

Napping?

Staying hydrated and getting plenty of nutrients including healthy fats MAY help. Over all it is going to come down to age and genetics but I think you have really great chances of not having saggy skin. If you were 200+ pounds overweight, that would be a different story.

I really like Heidi but I do think that she must have TDEE and BMR confused. I'm just under 150 and my BMR is 1437 and my TDEE is 2215 because I workout a lot. Her calculation is like right in the middle of my BMR and TDEE though so, it actually is a good number for me to be eating at. ETA: I don't do the carb cycling…

I don't do cheat meals exactly but that works for some people. I suggest setting your goal to about half a pound per week and then add in exercise of some kind most days. Try to aim for close to your calorie goal but focus more on your weekly numbers instead of daily. Try not to do a total 180 with the types of food you…

I can eat and then workout almost immediately (but I often give it 30 minutes before running) unless I eat something sloshy feeling like yogurt or cold cereal, then I need to eat something a little more solid if I don't want to feel sick. I may well be the odd duck though.

PB is 26:48. I'm planning on seeing how close I can get to 26 even by the beginning of Oct.

Feel free to add me. Every journey looks a little different but as long as we are over all moving in the same direction, the little details aren't so important. Good luck and I hope you can find lots of little things to keep you going.

When mine got really bad one time I went cold turkey but only for 7 days (that was the plan) and I did a great job of sticking to that and then by the end of the 7 days I felt like I could control how much I ate and I could have even my favorite treat in the house and not just eat it because it was there and must be eaten.…

I was still symptomatic after being on synthetic T4 and then talked to my doctor about adding in a T3. We've had to play with the ratio quite a bit (mostly after my last pregnancy) but as long as the balance of T4 and T3 is right, I feel great and don't have to fight tooth and nail for every once lost. Get more tests done…

I'm at 732 and as I am a teeny bit OCD, I will probably be upset the day that I lose my streak but as usmcmp said; you don't actually have to log food or exercise to keep the streak going, only log into the site. Sooooo if the number ticking away keeps you going, awesome! But don't feel like it makes you or breaks you.

Also, you may want to increase your iodine consumption (regular table salt and some fish will do it).

I just skimmed other replies so I'm sorry if this is duplicating anything. I was the same way and did some research. A lot of people that test normal but are still symptomatic, don't convert inactive T4 to active T3 very well so I talked to my doctor and she agreed that I should try Cytomel which is a synthetic T3. It has…

Have you looked on pintrest? I have found some good vegan/vegetarian ideas on there but I we eat meat most days sooo I don't really qualify.

Do you measure or are you going by how your pants fit? A lot of pants are made with stretch fabric and you can squeeze into them even with a lot of weight gain and then as you lose weight, they still fit tight in the thighs. If you aren't already measuring, do. Good luck and keep at it!

I'm an Oregon girl but a couple hours away from there, near Spirit Mountain Casino. If you are ever in my neck of the woods... :)

Beautiful. Great smile! Or to the person right above me, handsome. lol

A lot of it will come down to age and genetics. Drink loads of water, get healthy fats and try not to lose weight super fast.

I would think that taking meds for it and having your numbers in the normal range while on meds is having it controled. You should be aware though, that an increase in activity level often requires your doseage to be increased. Also, I was told by my doctor that if you have an intolerance to other foods, it can trigger…

You can add me if you want. I'm training for my first marathon (like an above poster). Do you take any medication? I take one that causes dry mouth for me. I even have to carry a water bottle on 5ks. I drink about 7 oz per mile. It isn't quite as bad when I use shot blocks but I only use those after 40 minutes. I try to…

What are your interests? Take walks, sign up for a class, checkout videos on youtube (HIIT, yoga, zumba), go dancing, ride a bike, go running, swimming, hiking. All you have to do to be active, is move...any kind of movement. It might help to work things into your schedule or see if there is a club or something you can…

Way to go! You are doing great! Do you lift at all? Or even body weight strength training. That might help some...at least it will help you to keep the muscle you have while burning fat. :)
