Full time mommy of 3 and part time martial arts (Kempo) instructor. Two of the best jobs ever in my opinion. :)

Nice job! Progress makes for awesome motivation!

I am going to guess that it's a combo of excess sodium and sore muscles from exercise. Keep drinking water, stretch, take a warm bath and soon you will be back to normal. You will have a day where you feel like you have to pee non stop and the next morning you'll be much closer to where you were. I would say it shouldn't…

I would stay at the 1500 and eat back about half of your exercise calories or more depending on your hunger. If you gain weight in about 3 or 4 weeks eat a little less. Give it a few weeks though.

Great job!

Great job and good luck on the surgery.

It really depends on how tall you are, how much you weigh and how active you are outside of your workouts. Someone 5'2" and mostly sitting at a desk or in front of the computer all day, you might need to cut back a little before too long but if you are 5'7" and on your feet walking all day or doing something active outside…

I completely agree with this...or even if it could only turn red if you are too far under or if you are going over enough that you are no longer at a deficit. Someone with their goal set to lose 1 lb per week that goes over by 4 calories is still at a deficit of nearly 500 (assuming they are logging accurately of course).…

Cardio is great for burning fat but can also burn lean muscle so as your weight goes down, your body fat percentage may not...I'm not saying don't do cardio. I ran 14 miles today. But you are doing the same workouts all the time and your body gets used to it. Add in weights and mix up the workouts a little more aaaaaand…

I have a polar one that I found on Amazon and I really like it. I don't know if any HRM sync with with MFP but it's easy to adjust your burn when you enter an exercise.

It is very brave of you to share this and I'm glad that you recognize this monster inside of you. It sounds like it could be empowering for you to think of yourself as some kind of warrior battling this epic beast and feeling like it may win, but never giving up the fight. You can do this! Great job keeping at it. I hope…

My 4 year old (at the time) named my dog...Princess. I feel silly when people hear me saying her name. lol

There are many factors that can play into it...like sodium and other things that can cause water retention as well as bathroom issues. Also, are you working out? If so, if you are sore from a workout then you are retaining water in that muscle group. You will likely see a larger amount of "weight gain" when your legs and…

Interesting site!

My vote is for don't panic but increase your calories to 1500 ish so you aren't under your bmr for an extended period of time. I don't imagine you have done much damage at this point but it is affecting your energy levels.

Try some breathing exercises and make a checklist. Be sure water or a sports drink is on there if you dehydrate easy and maybe eat something salty the day before.

I know that feeling :(

Yes, I think I heard they might do a Princess Bride race at some point too.

I can't offer a lot of advice other than try on a million things. Find clothes that fit you well opposed to clothes that are on trend right now. Look up fashion info for your body type. That goes a long way. Happy shopping!

What kind of stretching are you doing? If it is static stretching, you should probably switch to a few walking lunges, butt kicks, high knees and arm stretches. Holding stretches before exercise can actually lead to injury instead of prevent it...or so I have heard.

There are two types of body fat...one is firm and the other is more jiggly. Also the elasticity of your skin will affect the jiggly appearance. Keep at it. Keep a small caloric deficit. Do strength exercises. Keep reading and researching. Don't feel hurt when people are blunt on here and just learn all that you can. Don't…

I have broke through plateaus a few times after a day over on calories (and I have heard of others doing the same thing). It's like it jars the system or something. It looks like sometimes you are pretty close on calories but often under by 200+ (not eating back all exercise calories I'm guessing and I get that) so I would…

Great job both of you!

One of the best nsv's ever!

Sounds like enough motivation to keep you going at least another 6 months! Great job! Also, if you don't do it already, something that makes counting calories a little less tedious is having a go to meal or two for one or two meals a day plus a few snacks that you use most of the time. I eat the same breakfast almost every…

Mix some in juice or add them to greek yogurt also good in a vinaigrette dressing.

This! She doesn't feel comfortable with you making changes that she isn't ready to make herself and she is probably jealous.

May I ask where you generally go when you eat out? What are you ordering? Are you using the calorie info from their menu or website or figuring it out for yourself based on what a piece of chicken ways? A lot of restaurants put different things on meat (butter or bacon grease) to add flavor before cooking it. I agree about…

I have no gallbladder and low thyroid but haven't had it removed. I didn't see any affect on weight after my gallbladder was removed. I can only suggest that if you have any low thyroid symptoms beyond weight gain/difficulty losing weight (cold, tired, heavy limbs, speach issues, brain fog...) talk to your doctor about a…
