What is your bmr and your tdee? I'm guessing that you need to up your calories at least a couple hundred. How much weight do you still have to lose? What kinds of workouts are you doing? You need to be sure that you are eating between your bmr and tdee and try to eat back half of your exercise cals unless you are close to…

I'm 5' 2.5" and in my 130's and I have 14 3/4 inch calves...and like 9 inch ankles. I'm a runner and most of my lifting is body weight and dumbbells (10-15 lbs mostly...I need to get some bigger weights). Anyhow, your legs can't look any worse than mine as far as big calves go.

I just ran my first half marathon yesterday! Add me if you wish. I love having runner friends! ETA: I did 1 duathlon (12 mile bike ride and 3.1 mile run), a 5K, Warrior Dash and now the half marathon. I was a sprinter in high school and am still new to distance running. Also becareful and be sure to get your rest days in…

Honestly, I would be fine with schools doing a complete health screening and I don't mind that they are doing the BMI reports to parents. My only issue with it is that if you have a kid (particularly a girl) that has a higher BMI because she is athletic and muscular, then I think that may lead to problems if her parents…

I would love to lose 12 but that just isn't going to happen. Lol. Honestly I'm going to shoot for 6 and see where that takes me. I'm going to set my goal to have 12 gone by Valentine's Day. If that's the case, my hubby will be a lucky man indeed!

I have that too but it is getting much better as I lose fat. Strength training and core work help too.

No but I do take calories into consideration when they have treats. We bought a small carton of egg nog last week and my nearly four year old loved it but she only got a couple onces at a time because it's 160 cal for half a cup.

I totally agree with lentils, dry beans, brown rice, etc. Also I try not to think of eating "healthy" and think of "nutritious" instead. Healthy feels limited and nutritious feels more like making sure that I am getting the nutrition that I need and then I can have some extras which helps me stick to this long term. Good…

Foot pinched a little, over the bone on my ankle felt like it was vibrating into the bone but not painful (think getting a filling when numb) the rest of my ankle and back didn't really hurt at all but I have a high pain threshold.

OP-you want to eat under your TDEE and over your BMR. Calculate both and then eat somewhere in between. Small changes a little at a time will be easier to stick to than huge, drastic, overnight changes. Good luck! You can do it!

Biking is harder for me than running but I have a crappy bike though. :D

Way to go! Great progress!

I have been on Synthroid since May of '07 and had the hardest time losing any weight with it. I had to fight for every lb and then when I would make some note worthy progress my thyroid would get lazier, I would regain the weight and I would get my dosage upped. Then I talked to my doctor after reading about a T3…

I did one here in Oregon in September! It was awesome, tons of fun and muuuuudy! The one here had some major hills. There is a pic or two on my profile! ETA: I know people that did it and pretty much walked the whole thing. You should be fine if you keep at it! :D

Great beginner challenge! I don't mean that to sound condescending so I hope that it doesn't!

Way to go! Awesome job!

Great advice! The kind of advice that I'm great at giving but so bad a following!

I'm 5'2" with a short torso to boot and had two kids via c-section. My first was 10 lbs even and I didn't have any prego stretchmarks until about 8 months...then BAM in a not good way. I was induced 11 days past due and yeah, I've got stretch marks from a couple inches above my belly button to half way down the inside of…

If you are careful about the types of food that you put into your body, you can eat and feel full or at least satisfied on a calorie deficit. I am practically never over on my calories and rarely feel hungry. No more than the average person (maybe less than the average person) when it's getting close to dinner time and you…

You can't really spot reduce. Watch your cals and keep exercising and you will lose fat. That may be the last area that you lose it from. Many gain first in that area and build up a little more padding there so even if you are losing weight all over you still see the fat in that area the most. Give it time a keep at it. I…

He will love you just as much as ever!

Awesome job! It's amazing what determination and dedication will do for you! Congrats, you worked you *kitten* off and it shows!

[/quote] Different states have different requirements and laws related to age when a child can be left home alone or responsible for other children. As far as a parent wanting to take child out of US, other family members could try to get a court order barring it but they'd have to have some really really good reasons such…

Zombie run app to get you up to a 5K? I think that would be a blast!

Congrats!

Totally agree!

Sounds like you just haven't found the right motivation yet. When you HAVE to have it and nothing else will do, you'll get it done (so long as you don't have medical issues that have put the brakes on for you).
-
Awesome! Congrats! Your hard work is paying off!

A folding chair...hmmm I guess it could be worse.
