I gave up diet pop a few weeks ago. It was easier than I thought it would be, even though I used to drink a LOT of it. Unfortunately I didn't see any results on the scale. But I do however think that I crave sweets less now, so that's good. Good luck!

Your heart might just be in very good shape. My heart rate is always lower than anyone else working out around me. It takes a LOT for me to get mine in the 160s. I put it as circuit training too, and my heart rate monitor says I burn around 250, but everyone's different.

Through the Y it was around $90 for the exercise test and it was $30-40 more to do the resting one too. She's horrible...you need to find someone who supports you in WHATEVER you do. There is a blog on here I just read this morning about a husband who is supportive in everything she does. Read that. You might not be eating enough. I took a metabolic test at the Y last week and found out that my body needs 1600 calories a day to function...I was only eating 1200 a day. I started eating more last week (and still exercising) and I lost 3 pounds last week!!!
