when you say you are under by 300-400 calories every day, are you netting under 1200 each day?

Mark me down for Harry Potter. I am over the midnight showing thing (especially since I have an 8am dentist appt the next day) and I have tickets for Saturday morning that i got super cheap through work. BUUUUT I am considering heading to the IMAX for the show after the dentist Friday morning. I have overnight guests…

This is a problem for me and I haven't quite decided how I want to handle it yet. Not so much that I can't say no to the foods. I am generally not a huge fan of the thanksgiving foods. And now that my mother has it catered, I like them even less. The problem I am having is deciding what foods I will actually want, and will…

Not much help here... I just don't do it. I have shocking will-power when it comes to certain things... and none at all when it comes to other things (like chocolate...lol.) I try to make sure that the circumstances under which i weigh in are as identical each week as possible. Meaning I weigh in at roughly the same time…

I am so glad you asked this! Trader Joe's opened up in my town TODAY and i am nearly pee-my-pants excited to go!

I have been looking for stuff to put on my list that is easy for the mother unit to buy. Unfortunately she doesn't shop online and her ability to shop stores is pretty limited due to her health so what i want has to be able to be found at target. Have been looking for things to add to my Wii... though I should probably…

I can't decide. My time tonight is fairly limited because I have a class I take one Friday night a month, and that is tonight. My gut (instinct and belleh) are suggesting Chipotle but I don't know that I reeeeally want to do that. Tomorrow morning is my weigh in day and I don't like to sodium up right before weigh-in day.…

Right, because your body requires you to burn a certain amount just to keep you alive. :-)

awesome! Downloaded and will definitely be checking it out when I am out and about in the world.

I'll play too. I have a feeling this one is going to be a bad week. I have been sick with a cold and exercise has been hard to come by... food hasn't, however...lol I am officially down over 60 pounds since I started my journey.

yup yup! :-)

Okay, I am not even going to try to figure out how to add pics from flickr. I could figure it out from photobucket but I don't use my PB account much anymore. So here she is... in all her Rotten Dog glory. ;-) Hopefully those will work... Her name is Daisy and she is all of 5 pounds on her "fat days." ;-) She is a…

I keep a good supply of low sodium tuna in the house (though you wouldn't know this by looking at my cupboard... i am down to my last can!) At the end of the day when I see i am too low, or after a workout I will open the can, drain the water, and chow it down right out of the can. (yeah this may not be normal for most…

Former Diet Dude made us all pick a weight and then tried to tell us if we were right or wrong. I am sure that for many he was able to convince them successfully. I was not quite so easy. I have NO interest in being skinny. If it happens, great, but I am happy with my life and will be just as happy when I get to the goal…

Done, and pretty sure it is Luke Perry. :-)

lol pretty sure they are saying that if half your body weight is 69pounds, you should drink 69 oz of water. :-)

Okay, well first of all, stop weighing yourself every day, especially after having bad days. it's like you are purposely punishing yourself. Second, look at the food you ate. How much of that was completely swimming in salt. Chinese food has a TON of it, and then we add soy sauce :) Anything that you get when you are…

I am making jambalaya tonight. Haven't had it in a while and can't hardly stand waiting. I love that whole house smells awesome for a day afterwards. :-)

The calorie thingy is there... you have to click around to find it. Oddly, it seems like most sites try to make that obvious because everybody loves to play with a calculator... this one doesn't. it is on an off page and only seems linked in the middle of a post. *shrug*

I think the logic works, but it also assumes that all things remain the same... which I have found causes my metabolism to go on strike and refuse to work until I give it something new to keep it interested. :-)

I haven't tried it yet, but it is on my radar. It has pretty decent reviews so I am hoping for deliciousness. http://www.eatbetteramerica.com/recipes/featured-brands/healthified-cheesy-potato-chowder.aspx

I have a jar of it in my house and have put it in things when cooking even just to add a little bit of heft to something, like rice, or extra texture. Now that I am seeing all your posts I think I shall need to get another jar to keep in my desk at work to add to my cereal or oats in the morning. yum. I love adding flax…

lol i wasn't suggesting it for everybody... just for those who do want to pay for it. And the added features would have to be WELLL worth paying for. I wouldn't pay for it just to get rid of ads. I can usually just ignore ads with no trouble. ;-)
-
 On another note, though... MFP... I might be willing to pay for added features and to be ad free. Just puttin' it out there.
-
lol i was just going to say that I get that ad all the time and I have no idea what they are. Some creepy easter cookie thing? I don't know but it is nearly impossible to work where i work without typing cookie, as we are having to tell our employees to clear theirs all the time. When we tell them to clear their cache we…

Red Robin's website is also one that has a cool meal genrator thing. You can add and subtract things to get to a calorie level you want. Awesome. One time when I first started losing weight, i had enough calories left in my day that i could order a turkey burger and such from them... AND there was room for french fries. I…

I love Amy's but am terribly annoyed by the amount of sodium in theirs, and anybody's food. So I was very excited when I first learned about the lower sodium foods. Then I had the mac n cheese. *sigh* It tasted like a foot. Or more specifically... like the cardboard box it came in. Oddly... it tasted exactly like how the…

I wish I had a bigger struggle to tell you about. I used to have something of a DC addiction too. (i say it like that because reading y'alls stories makes me realize mine wasn't that bad) :-/ For me it was all about the taste. I loved it. Then I started feeling bad about all the plastic bottles I was putting out in the…
