It's not about motivation. You don't need motivation. You a well thought out plan. You need commitment. Your only other post in this forum reads: That was 2 years ago. What happened in that year? Why is this post different from that post? You've gotten some good advice here. I hope you apply it.

I'm gluten free due to inflammation issues. It has not affected my boyfriend's eating habits at all. We live together. He eats cookies and cakes and pizza. I don't, or I eat gluten free alternatives. I don't understand the issue.

I did the NJ Super Spartan by myself. Started with a group but we got separated within the first mile. The race was 8 miles. I loved it. That's just me though, I'm kind of a loner. My understanding is that a lot of people run races alone. No reason to feel weird about it.

Incline treadmill, weighted lunges, weighted squats, trail running, hill running. There is actually a cardio machine called a summit trainer. I haven't used one so I can't attest to its usefulness but if your gym has one, it's worth a try. Lower body strength exercises are what I have found most useful.
