I have two mugs with any kind of decoration on them. One is an old Air Force logo, the other is this:

Every day. I might take a day off completely a couple of times a month. I run 30-40 miles and do three sessions of strength stuff at the gym (usually in conjunction with one of my shorter runs).

There's always apple sauce! Honestly, I had braces 10 years ago and it didn't impact my eating that much. A day or two here and there, but it was hardly lifestyle-altering. I still ate pizza and candy when I got my braces tightened on Halloween.

Today I learned.... wait, no, I still don't know what KIK is. Other than what you get if you try to type LOL and you're off by a column of keys.

I hear you. I really learned to run in Newtons and everything else feels too narrow. I don't know what I like anymore. Most shoes, even in a size 15, rub the side of my big toe and annoy me.

It's not for everyone. You don't have to have one. Personally, I don't and never have. I suppose, theoretically, it's supposed to make you happier and less likely to deviate from whatever diet you're on, but if it only makes you feel worse, what's the point? A setback is a setback, IMO.

Sounds like you shouldn't eat, then. You'll be fine. If you work your way up to runs that are long enough for it to be an issue, you can reassess at that point. Maybe you'll find that your body has adapted to it the way mine did.

I think it depends a lot on what your stomach can handle, how you're trained, and what kind of run you're planning to do. Some people (I used to be like this) get sick if they have anything in their stomach when they run, so they have to eat well in advance of their run. You probably don't *need* to eat unless you're going…

I drink a lot of MiO. Not sure what "terrible diet taste" is, exactly, but I think it tastes pretty good.

I had something going on with my quad/ITB/knee region earlier this year. I'm not 100% sure that it was ITBS, which I have had before, since it responded differently to treatment attempts, but the symptoms were basically the same. Eventually I found that I had one particularly sore spot on my quad -- my vastus lateralis --…

This is one reason why I don't run in "pants." I wear running shorts that are essentially too lightweight to fall down. When it's super cold out, I wear tights underneath.

Lock everything in my car, bring only the key with me. I actually destroyed the electronic key fob thingy with the switchblade-style key so I didn't have to deal with the bulk of the thing. Of course, keying the door open without the fob nearby sets off the alarm, but usually I remember not to turn that on. If you're any…

When I started losing weight, I was under the assumption that I'd get to the point eventually where I could pig out once in a while "like normal people" and not worry about it. Almost ten years later, I still can't. Just can't let go and enjoy it. It's probably good, since there's really no need to ever do that kind of…

9:00 1.5 mile and 18:45 5k. I've never done a timed 1-mile, but it's on my list of things to try at some point.
-
Does it really say 'loose weight'? That's a fantasy killer right there...

Now that's what I call being a supportive friend!

Errands :/

This is a pretty good representation of my feelings as well. Except it only took me three years to get there.

I probably wouldn't run in lightning. I wanted to run during Sandy but I was hurt so I was on the couch for the whole time. With lightning I'd probably go to the gym and run on the treadmill. I have run in pretty bad rain, but that doesn't really seem that crazy.

At first, I knew they were all kind of subjective. "You look great!" = "You look better than you used to..." Now, since I've been not-fat for 8-9 years, it's easier to believe that they're genuine. I think I look great (usually) so when someone says that, I'm like "well yeah, of course I do." :P

Yeah, doesn't driving on military installations suck?
-
I've been in the Air Force for three years or so. I work in intel and it's generally pretty awesome, but I've come to the conclusion that I would probably not like having a normal military job.

If there's something that's really bothering me, yeah, I'll use it before and after. When I'm healthy for the most part it seems to be sufficient to just do it once.

I bought a basic, full-size foam roller almost a year ago for $25. It's helped me get over numerous injuries and I use it almost every day. I think every runner should have one.

Around 50. I've never gotten very good results from any push-up-related regimen I've tried; eventually I just stopped caring and decided to focus on something I'm good at and enjoy more. :P

I read my Kindle when I'm on the exercise bike. Helps pass the time, but it's really not a sufficient distraction when my butt starts to hurt.

I rolled my feet on a lacrosse ball last night. It was pretty excruciating. I didn't have a golf ball, but it seemed good enough!

Well, okay.

...bite?
