  • I have to say Cool Chik keeps me motivated with weigh ins every week! Cool chik you are doing so well and so are the others who have posted. I am glad this is a 90 day challenge because it is clear I am going to need the 90 days to make much progress. I had a lot of work travel the last 3 weeks and although I have been…
  • 145 pounds at 5.5 puts you at a BMI of 24.1 within a healthy weight zone. Within that 20 to 25 BMI healthy zone (or some sources say 18 to 15) the choice of where you feel good and look good should be your guide. Not external sources. For me at a BMI of 24 I look terrible but opposite of you, small breasted and not curvy.…
  • An aggressive weight loss in 2 weeks, if you are in an overweight or healthy weight BMI would be 5 pounds. 10 to 15 is just not possible.
  • I think you should just stay the course. Upward fluctuations happen on any weight loss journey in spite of sticking 100% to the diet and exercise regime. Daily fluctations in weight occur and it may be that tomorrow you would be down. I wouuld say, stay the course. You are doing the right things. 125 is a healthy calorie…
  • Wow, you must have the northeastern in NY. Where I am in Canada, no snow but COLD!! Minus 30 this morning, frozen pipes and you just cannot get warm. My daughter and her guy had to move in with us because the house (garage being renovated into a living space) is unfinished and the temp was down to 4 degrees Celsius ( maybe…
  • You look great! People have noticed but with men a lot of people are afraid to comment. Did he want to lose the weight? As others have said people are just afraid to comment!
  • Fabulous! You look great and you should be very proud!!
  • And I am sure many of us appreciate you being our leader and keeping us motivated! thank you!
  • Hi all, My SW or PW was 127.5 CW is 126.2 I won't be able to weigh in until next Thursday the 30th next due to work related travel (no scale!). Eating within calorie goals will be a challenge. My fitness has been going well. I hope everyone is making progress!
  • I love Zumba class, lots of fun and calories burned! I have never tried the DVD as I likely would not get around to it at home....
  • Thanks Pamastori! Are we posting our stats here? Also can you explain the water rationale?
  • I now add almonds or nuts plus milk and a bit of sugar. This gives some protien to it. If I have a banana I add that.
  • I mostly exercise in the morning too. I have no appetite first thing in the morning (need to be up an hour at least) to eat prior to going for a run or work out in the morning and I just don't believe in forcing myself to eat. I always eat as soon as I get home from the exercise and I am sure to have protien and carbs. The…
  • Exactly my goals and story too! Even at my age, I am 58 and still look best at that weight. At 125 I start to look matronly and I hate it! That is a BMI 21.4 at 117. I was reading that most women feel they look their best at a BMI of 20 to 22 while men feel they look best at 23 to 25 BMI.
  • Scale is starting to reflect the work and what I can see and feel! Yahoo! Jan 1 SW 130 pounds Jan 19 CW 126.2 pounds GW 118 pounds Everyone is doing so well. This is a great group of motivating and inspiring people, some with more and some with less to lose but everyone has the same can do spirit! We can do this!
  • Way to go Cool chic! 5 pounds in a week is amazing progress.
  • Got up this morning and went to a spin class, did a 30 minute run and then some weights and mat work! Feeling good and had a nice well deserved healthy breakfast. My weight is down another .5 pound. Seems so little for all the hard work but at least going the right direction!
  • I am the same on the clothes. Too tight and many don't fit. Too bad I say to myself, stick with the diet and you have a really good wardrobe waiting. Suck it up and do the hard work and the reward will be fitting back into all my clothes. I am a yo-yoer after my major loss in 2007. The good news is I let it get up 12…
  • Feel free to add me, I am on every day and support my MFP friends on their journey and I get lots back! This time the weight is coming off and staying off!
  • Yep I have the same issue, I am back because I gained back 12 pounds. At least this time I did not gain it all back. We have to get our good habits back again, that is what MFP will help with and lots of support on the site from others in the same boat. Good luck with it!
  • I have a complete wardrobe that is a size or two smaller than I am right now! And I bought a lot of nice clothes because I felt good at that weight. I have an extremely limited wardrobe right now but I refuse to buy fat clothes again (tought because I have to wear business dress at work!). I gave them away and I am not…
  • Wow, you are rocking it! Keep up the great work and effort.
  • I found these Blue Menu frozen yogurt bars that taste as good as ice cream and are only 80 calories. When I am at home I eat one each evening as my treat and it satisfies my sweet tooth. I also eat grapes as the alternative, they are really sweet and help satisfy. There are the 100 calorie chocolate thins if you can go for…
  • Congratulations! What a wonderful journey and so inspiring to share. You look fabulous!
  • 5'2" and look best at 115 to 118. Currently at 127.5 and goal is 118. But I may go to 115 to give some slack. But first need to get to 118!
  • Ok I have not been doing the water thing. Its hard to be drinking that much and not be in the bathroom all the time at work! What is the physiology of the water? Is it just to feel full? I will try tomorrow. I am doing good on the exercise. I did 30 minutes of ellipitical and 15 minutes bike tonight.
  • Feel free to add me. I did the 30 pound drop in 2007 but I have snuck back up again 12 pounds. Glad to share tips.
  • Hi Pam, Sounds like a nice challenge that suits my personal goals. SW today is 127.5 GW is 118 Looking forward to this group and challenge!
  • Glad to oblige. I will send you an invite. I am also looking for friend to banter with on this journey. The one group I like is the 90 Day Challenge! Lots of motivated people on that group and lots of support.
  • Way to go! Keep up the great work lady!
