  • jennie o sausage, hot or sweet both yummy with pasta and onions/bell peppers, no sauce needed imo, maybe just a little parm cheese on top.
  • Fast and easy... greek yogurt, maybe with a bit of granola in it... hard boiled eggs... sometimes when I'm really busy I'll just have some string cheese. I often stop at dunkin donuts and get either the plain oatmeal or 'splurge' on grilled cheese on flatbread (370 cal). Subway makes nice little 3 inch morning sandwiches…
  • Stress? lmao... yeah fish have it rough. All that floating around, and eating... it must be awful for them. :P
  • Oh no!! This just goes to prove males are not right.... testosterone makes them crazy or something... Just sayin' ;)
  • I struggle with eating late as well. Problem is, I'm usually out of calories by then...lol. One thing I find helps especially in the winter is I'll distract myself with a big cup of herbal tea. Works for me, sometimes at least.
  • Congratulations :) I remember when I was a kid and we bought two male hamsters from the pet shop and one of them had babies... (My mother made the store take them all back....) They told us to separate dad out or he would eat the babies though. eek!
  • Hmm alright, I've made the suggested adjustment to my plan as well, thanks Alice. I hadn't been paying much attention to the numbers other than calories... though I routinely went over in protein on the old setting, and sometimes on fat, rarely over on carbs. I can see now that I won't be in line, with my 'normal' diet,…
  • Maybe you're right. I struggle, and have no idea what a macro is.... I should look it up maybe. General things I try to do are obvious ones. Reduce or eliminate chips/cookies/late night eating... drink more water... less booze... more fish/veggies... less sauces/dips...not too many bread/carby things...and since logging my…
  • Lisa this pic is hard, in black and white....lol I'm guessing ~32
  • Do you count Subway as 'fast food'? Its fast, but they've got a lot of good choices there... I love my BLT with avocado and tons of veggies no mayo which comes out to 440 calories on their website. Probably more sodium that should have... but again, its about changes you can do. Its surely better than the Sbarros sausage…
  • Drea 30 (I'm ignoring the 85 in there, if I'm higher than rl... sorry!)
  • I had mine out laproscopically about 5-6 years ago. I wish to hell I could say I had more energy after...lol. I had only two attacks before the surgery, but they were pretty spectacular, resulting in an emergency room visit, which is not something I do. (I'm generally of the opinion that if I'm not dying, I should not be…
  • Slept late, got groceries, made a double batch of pumpkin breads to give away... and a huge lasagna to take over to my ex'es house so we'd have something homemade and edible...(small eyeroll) with the kids... nice evening. Now I'm home listening to music and tons of wrapping, why did I buy all this stuff.... and trying to…
  • What a beautiful, strong, and healthy example you set for your little girl. You look great!
  • Hey lady, give yourself some credit! For a woman who couldn't do a push up, signing up to start something called a 30 day shred??? Just cause people are talking about it on here doesn't mean just anyone can do that, not at all. Take me. I'm terrified just of the NAME of the thing. lol. (Ye may recall I can't do a push up…
  • Okay... PMS attack, again, and again here I sit with the Joy Yees. The good news is... I lost two pounds in the month since I started this thread, even with Thanksgiving thrown in there and all. Its not a lot, but its about as quick as I've been going, and considering I'm not exercising nor starving myself... I"m pleased.…
  • I"m so dreading it as well. I'm 44. My kids are 7 and 9, I got pregnant easily. I'd of had another if my husband wasn't such a *d**k*...lol. (Separated now, blissful...) I've still not totally decided I'm done having kids even, though I suppose I am, time marches on, and all that. (Would need new daddy, at minimum...lol.)…
  • No dreading for me either, but I am a bit worried about myself and the eggnog. Not kidding. I'm not too great with temptation, as anyone who looks at my diary and sees the pumpkin pie debacle of last week can see.... lol. Tis the season for eggnogy goodness... and with a nice dollop of brandy in there... omg yum yum yum.…
  • Nah, I can't do a pushup. I don't think I ever could, even when I was younger/thinner (44 now/209). I have very little upper body strength. Try the 'girl' pushups, on your knees, with your feet crossed in the air. Those are a bit easier. I can't bench press much either. Maybe 20, 30 pounds at the very most. Hurts in my…
  • I'd say... 1. Good idea, don't arrive to the thing starving. Eat something, a salad, some cheese, something... beforehand. Not a whole or even a half dinner though. Best to leave yourself with some calories to work with, I think. 2. White wine spritzers can feel festive and alcoholy tasting with less calorie impact. 3.…
  • Ugh! I feel for you, it has to be very frustrating to watch. Few kids know what they want at 18, it IS hard to decide and make life plans. One has to make them though. I really hope you're not giving him any money... he needs to have a job. Nobody likes having a job, but if you want money, you have to have one, period. If…
  • The scale is one of the many things I left with my ex when I moved out. (I did take the treadmill though, not that I use it a lot...lol.) I weigh myself on arrival at work, on the days I'm at the work where I'm down the hall from the dieticians with their fancy digital scale. (Tues,Weds,Thurs, Sat). Only if I'm not super…
  • I think it does depend on the guy. In the late 80's I dated a slim Italian guy who wore bikini briefs, and they suited him... My ex who was a big guy, 6'4" with big thighs of marble... wore both, which reading this thread seems odd, huh. He wore both boxers, and boxer briefs. Boxers for most of the time, boxer briefs with…
  • Clearly you are ill and should see a doctor. I say this, in between swigs of diet coke....:P good for you kicking the soda habit! I've reduced.... but wow I don't think I could ever give them up. I figure if I've gone from 6-8 a day to 1-2 a day, thats major progress. :)
  • If I can get a nap in? :P Seriously, if I can get to the store and make meal plans for the week, its going to be very busy for me this week, and busy generally equals not eating as well.
  • Gorgeous hon, get used to the new you, and enjoy the zing on the ex. :)
  • A place to log sleep.
  • LOL!! Yup, I've been asked this many times. Where I work, I see a lot of older eastern european ladies... and my kids are 7 and 9, they have seen me pregnant before... I know, that they just want to coo and crow and be happy for me, and I try not to take it badly, but of course it feels awful. My son though at the grocery…
  • Okay. My daughter's dance place offers Zumba on Monday nights I think, that I normally should be able to get to, if I kick myself in the butt to go. (Which obviously hasn't happened yet.) I have ladies guild meeting for kids school tomorrow night... but the next week, I have no excuse planned, AND... I have to report back…
  • I think we are programmed to remember, but not heed the advice, so that we may pass the morsels of wisdom on to our kids. So they too will not listen, but at least later be aware, 'yeah, mom did say to watch out for that...', and know their moms were right...lol. A small vindication, should you live so long to watch your…
