  • Bump - sounds delicious! I love quiche and will have to try this.
  • WHOHOOOOOO!!!! That's so incredible! So happy for you! You look fabulous.
  • Hi, Vanessa. Glad you're on here! We're all in the same boat, that's why we're here! Feel free to add me. I'm relatively new, too. Been here since July and have really enjoyed getting to know people better, who are all on the same path. Having friends on MFP really helps me and I know it will help you too! Log in everyday…
  • I asked my husband (who is in the other room and is also a MFP member) this question and this was his reply, "The naked and willing type." Gotta love his honesty. He says that for him, he's always liked 'em better naked over clothed. LOL He kills me. 10 years, 6 kids, and he still keeps me on my toes.
  • Happily married, most of the time. 10 years!
  • It's never to late to start, OR start over. Good job coming back! You can do it!
  • Yes, you're in the right place. Doing this together and encouraging each other seems to work for most people on here. It's definitely helped me! Welcome. I've been on for a couple weeks now and really like it. My husband is doing it too. It worked great for him a year ago. :)
  • I did it last night for the first time and thought I was going to die but I didn't stop and did the whole thing all the way through. My 8 year old gave up and said it was too hard after 15 min so I felt better, hehe. I'm on day 2 of Level 1. Feeling pretty motivated and pumped about doing it. I bought it on Amazon for less…
  • I'm a nursing student! Nice to meet you! I'm in my last semester of a 2 yr program with 1 1/2 years of pre-requisites prior. Have been in school for 3 years to achieve this goal. It's hard but we can do it! Add me.
  • I'm guilty of that myself! I feed my kids the same dinner as my husband and myself. It's not that my dinners are that unhealthy, it's just that MY personal portions are large and I eat when everyone goes to bed so I get the "treats" I hide all to myself. I haven't done that in 2 weeks since joining MFP.
  • Hello mamas. I'm 38, married and have 6 kids combined with my husband. I've had 3 by birth. Youngest is 8. Still carrying baby weight with me, but then I started nursing school. Gained about 30 lbs in school because it's hard, hard, hard, and I study all the time. Book in lap, lap in seat. Hardly any exercise. I'm going to…
  • Bad days can happen. I've never actually been on a diet before and I've been at it for a week, then went on a 3 day trip. I'm really new to this and have felt discouraged myself. Add me and we'll chat more often. We can help each other.
  • When the kiddos get a bit older, you can change it up by dancing. My kids LOVED to dance with me around the house. Starting when they were about 3 or so. We would crank on the music and dance to music for 30 minutes or so a day. It's hard to call it exercise since it's so much fun!
  • Great ideas! Thanks! Hadn't thought about some stuff you mentioned. Really appreciate the help!
  • You are truly an inspiration. My husband is 6'3" and weighs 420. He's already down 15 lbs in 2 weeks. I'm 5'8" and started at 220. I'm only down 1 pound and was starting to feel frustrated. Thank you for posting your success story. My husband has hope and I feel inspired to stick with it! Thanks for posting about you and…
  • Portion control is something I have a hard time with. I have to force myself to eat breakfast and I usually eat a huge lunch because I'm starving by then. Quick breakfast ideas?
  • I never tried ww because it's expensive. I weigh for the first time tomorrow so wish me luck. I really like this site and it keeps me accountable, not only to myself, but my buddies. Good luck! Exercise seems to be the key. I LOVE Zumba! Dance/aerobics works for me, and love the music with it. I usually drink more water…
  • I'm a nursing student in my final semester. Looking to do whatever I can, just want a JOB after being in school gaining weight for a few years! :)
  • I'm with you! I've actually never been on a diet before so I could use buddies too. I appreciate your honesty. You CAN do this!!!
