  • I do this too! Never met anyone else who likes it and I get a lot of strange looks every time. I don't really even like gravy. A1 is great on baked potatoes and scrambled eggs too
  • This is my absolute favorite tea! http://www.adagio.com/flavors/valentines.html It tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry. I never used to like flavored teas but this changed my mind. I usually just put a bit of cream in it, it actually starts out a little sweet so I don't think sugar is needed.
  • Not every person burns 2000 calories a day. Some people burn more, some burn less. It depends on a lot of factors like height, age, weight, activity level and a bunch of other things.
  • It would help if you made your diary public so we can see what you are eating. Sometimes people eat a lot of high calorie food and that is why they are hungry and have a hard time sticking to their goals. Can't really help if we don't know what you are eating that is making you so hungry.
  • Next time I make them, I'm going to use the mini unwrapped Reese cups and crumbled Oreo cookies. I think that would be a much better Reese ratio. As they are, you don't get an even bite. With the unwraps, it would be a better distribution and then why not throw in Oreo crumbles just for good measure?
  • I can't believe no one has posted this yet... I personally think the Oreos taste better than Reese cups ETD: I've heard these referred to as slutty brownies.
  • I weigh everyday but I won't log a weight until I get the same number (or very close) for at least 2 days in a row.
  • Sedentary is about 4000-6000 steps per day in my experience. Lightly active for me is 8000-10,000 steps. If you're logging your workout separately, you would not include it in your daily activity. I would say you are much closer to sedentary than lightly active and when in doubt, it's best to go lower.
  • Typically after lifting I try to work in some (usually a glass of milk plus an egg or turkey peperoni) and I tend to crave sweets at night so I end up eating a skinny cow ice cream if I'm tight with calories or if I have calories to spare, I'll get cookies. Is that good? Sorry, I have no idea what I should eat post workout.
  • This is very true. I was running late once and came to work without makeup on. My boss wanted to send me home because I looked terrible (her words). She thought I was sick and didn't want me making everyone else sick. I work a desk job and there are a couple women here that do a lunch time workout but they also spend a…
  • I try to get at least 95g protein. I usually hit around there during the week. My weekends normally aren't great because I eat fast food. Should I be aiming for more?
  • I went all the way back down with my weights. I had tried to just take a small step down but noticed my form was suffering so I went back to the beginning to make sure I got my form right.
  • 34G here, bras are not stupid. It gets quite painful to not wear one for very long. Gravity is a b!tch too! OP, when you're done losing weight, find yourself a good plastic surgeon. That's what I did and I couldn't be happier. Start saving now because they can be expensive!
  • Also, have you tried Fiber One brownies? You get a fairly decent sized brownie for 90 calories. While it's not as good as a fresh baked triple chocolate brownie, it's pretty good.
  • Just eat the brownie! When you've tried to substitute the cravings and it's not working, just eat the brownie. This one time isn't going to kill you and you can always stay under calories next week if it comes down to it. Life is just to short to ALWAYS deny yourself what you want the most. Sometimes you just got to cave…
  • My husband was really supportive of my weight loss at first. My original goal was 145lb which at 5'5 put me just barely at a healthy BMI. He was cool with that. Then I bumped it down to 142 and he started acting like I was anorexic or something. Now my new goal is 138 and he's really not that happy about it. So over the…
  • So happy I'm not the only one who misread that as well
  • If it fits, there's no harm in eating it so I say go for it. If you want lower calorie alternatives to desserts in general, buy Skinny Cow Ice Cream. If you want to stop eating desserts all together, I guess just stop eating it? Sorry I can't be of more help on that last one. I find denying food you want just leads to…
  • These were taken one year apart on our anniversary. I had lost about 40 pounds and my husband had lost about 50 between the two pictures.
  • You look amazing! Great job!
  • Pretty much this. My phone is basically glued to my hand when I'm about to eat. Weekend logging is harder because I have so much food sitting around my house but I log it BEFORE I eat it. Even if I just want a cookie. Before I even touch the package, I make sure it gets logged and it fits first. I have seen some people on…
  • Just wanted to say that I recently bought a box of Twinkies for the first time in years. I was so excited to crack it open and dive in but all I got was a big mouthful of disappointment. Don't know what Hostess did to them but they are nothing but evil tasting things now. Truly ruined my day
  • Holy crap, I thought I was the only person in the world that did that! I don't even like gravy on mashed potatoes, just A1 thank you very much!
  • 2.5 pounds in a month is not bad progress but it most likely should be more with how little you're eating. I would guess you are either eating more than you think or burning less than you think or a combo of the two. Do you weigh your solids with a food scale and measure all your liquids? Are you eating back calories…
  • So happy you were able to take constructive advice and go in a much healthier direction!
  • I'm not there and I can't observe the way you two interact but strictly from the examples you posted I don't see him trying to sabotage you. No, he's not becoming your personal cheerleading squad and supporting you every step of the way but I don't think he's trying to stop what you're doing. At most what I see is a man…
  • You can't spot reduce meaning you can't choose where you lose fat. Walking on the treadmill is a good form of exercise but to lose fat, you only need to eat at a calorie deficit. The treadmill is a great way to help you burn more calories so you can eat more and still lose weight though.
  • Pam is your friend! 0 calories (per serving) and it cooks the food without sticking. I've even seen recipes that call for spraying potatoes with pam before roasting to help them brown without adding (many) calories.
  • When I started I was 5'5 185 pounds and it took me about 7 months to lose 42 pounds. At the time I wasn't really exercising at all and I was eating around 1400 calories (desk job)with a cheat day on Saturday going up to ~2000-2200 calories. You sound like you got a good plan down! Weigh your solids, measure your liquids…
