  • Slow and steady... I'll be here for a long while!
  • You've done it once and you can do it again. Good on you for coming back!
  • Yep, I know how you feel! Only work a 40 hour week, but I find after working out 4-5 times a week and painstakingly preparing nearly every meal I eat... I have no time for myself! But I am losing weight and inches, and gaining fitness and confidence. Loving my new life! I agree though, you kinda. Have to make yourself do…
  • I've just done week 1 day 2 last night - I'm also a bit surprised that I wasn't dead by the end! I'm going to do every third day rather than 3 x a week though as that means I get time to mix it up with swimming and other stuff. I have seen a few people say they've repeated a week but managed it after. So glad I started…

  • Me! I have been logging food for 20ish days now and I get this. Must affect people in different ways. That and I have finally stopped eating foods I am intolerant to :)
  • You are truely amazing! :)
  • Assuming you are using a treadmill I would use the HRM on there to get average HRs for each section and use an online calculator, I'm starting tonight and that's what I'm planning to do :)
  • Fit into the dress I have for a wedding at the end of the month. Probably lose around 6-8lbs. Start running. Keep running. Keep up with being organised with my meals and weighing everything!
  • Sorry you feel so rubbish about this - you are doing the right thing though, using this as a reason to make positive changes :) Feel free to add me :)
  • Bump :-) thanks!
  • Generally I like to do a lot of cooking at the weekend, and these days I have just been challenging myself to cook filling tasty low cal meals. But last weekend we had friends visiting from Romania and this weekend my dad is visiting. Will be out and boozing this weekend, but my diary tells me the next few weekends are…
  • I do wish I'd heard the bells though - was walking to work and didn't hear a peep here!
  • I am a bit excited - but being up in Aberdeen I am sick to death of the "national" news and radio banging on about London 2012. I don;t care if the tubes are busy! Saying that I am excited for my trip down the road at the end of august (am originally from Kent). I'm hoping to see one of my school firends in the heptathlon…
  • Great thread :) I'm off out for food all weekend this weekend :( My dad is coming to stay and it's his birthday so I'll just have to try and make good choices!
  • I have a bit of a wheat intolerance. Pasta and noodles are a no go for me and I very rarely eat bread either. I still get my carbs in though, brown rice, quinoa, potatoes etc. It won't do you any harm and bread can be a bit empty in terms of calories!
  • I can see the pic - great job, you should be proud of yourself =D
  • This will sound sdaft, but I have a standing desk... it's electric and I can sit down. I got it for back pain, the occupational health people made my work get it for me. My back has recovered now and I mostly sit, but I definitely dropped weight just through standing and fidgeting. Keep it in mind :)
  • Hey, I'm pretty sure there was an episode of Doctor Who (in fact I'm sure) about "adipose". What a load of rubbish! :)
  • I am planning on starting either Sunday or Monday, mental week full of visitors and moving furniture ahead :)
  • We do like a hot rice salad thing? Just some veggies fried up in a bit of 1 cal spray, some cooked brown rice and drained tuna. We normally add come chilli and garlic and soy, ginger and mirin if we have it. A good go to meal for using up veggies :)
  • Have you thought about resistance bands?
  • I'm at work, exhausted all of a sudden and craving a mars bar! I need the sugar high! But a sweet instant coffee will have to do; I refuse to go to the shop and break a tenner for some chocolate :)

  • UK and actuve, add me :)
  • My SO is on MFP too. He loves me for who I am, and I was this size when we started going out. But he sees how much this means to me and he is doing everything he can to help me achieve my goal, because that's what I want to do :)
  • Brown rice is your friend, and Quinoa :)
  • If you are surrounded by temptation at work - be prepared. I work in an office and we are surrounded with amazing (and expensive) places to eat every day. I plan my food, mix it up a bit where I can and take things with me. Chopped veggies and a yoghurt dip works for me if I'm out and about. Today I have salad, brown rice…
  • At the moment I'm on rice crispies - 30g portion and 125ml semi skimmed milk comes in at around 175cals - I usually have a yoghurt and or fruit with that :)
  • My BF really struggles with stress affecting is sex drive. I did go through a phase of worrying that he didn't find me attractive, but after we talked it out I felt much better. And to be fair, it's not always about me! If you're worried, the best thing you can do is talk to him about it :-)
