Finished Wk5 D2. I had a personal problem and had to hop off the treadmill during the last minutes of the 2nd run. I did come back and run another 8 minutes so I could say I completed the day. Not bad, I ended up running 21 minutes. I'm really worried that the 20 minute run for D3 is going to be impossible. I need to get…

Keep doing what you're doing, because it is working. I can see a difference between the 2 pics.

I asked a guy in my office who runs and he always chews gum, usually a half a piece, when he runs. He says it keeps his mouth from getting dry and he also runs more with his mouth closed which forces him to breathe through his nose and work harder. I think I'll try that.

Chewing gum is an interesting question. Four years ago when I tried to get my health headed in the right direction I used to go to Anytime Fitness. There was a lady that was always on the treadmill running and she chewed gum like crazy. She actually had her iPod and full package of gum on the treadmill ready to go. I…

I lose very slowly, but I intend to be at goal and very fit by my 50th birthday. My friend and I are going to hike down the Grand Canyon and then hike back up. Of course we will spend a couple of days at the ranch on the Canyon floor. June 2014.

I also did Wk4 Day1 this morning and thought it would be impossible. How do you go from 90 seconds and then 3 minutes to 3 minutes and then 5 minutes? But I did it , I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with myself. I really feel confident in this running project of mine. Love it!

Loved your conversation with yourself. You are not alone in this type of discussion. I do agree with you on the soup mix being the culprit. I have noticed that if I use a packaged mix or proccessed food item to round out dinner the scale is not kind. It is the sodium and all the stuff you can't pronounce on the list of…

Tomorrow is Wk3 Day3. I'm feeling pretty good about myself. I thought Day 1 that the 3 minutes would be bad, but I made it through both and threw in another one for fun. I have been doing a combination of walking and jogging on my off days to build up my endurance. I'm short, 5'1", so fast walking is 3.4 and running is…

Thank you for posting that. I am in WK2 and intend to finish and love running. To see the change and how toned you are makes me happy that I decided this will work for me. Exercise, is the only thing that is going to help me.

1. Mostly, I'm tired of being tired. By finally losing this weight and loving exercise, I won't be tire anymore and if I am, it will be a good tired. 2. Feel confident in a swimming suit.

Passing on a muffin is pretty big. I went shopping with my daughters (13 and 21) and bought a medium sleeveless shirt; it fit so I bought it. Weds I actually wore it to work. I was so happy. The weight is moving slowly, but my body is changing and I can see my collar bones all the time.

Thank you for that. I read that last night and did W2D1 this morning. It was nice to know that it wasn't just me; I swear 90 seconds felt like 3 minutes. lol Done and ready for W2D2.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 15 years ago. And your thyroid, unless it is completely burned out can fluctuate. I have had mine checked multiple times within a single year because it was still producing (whatever it produces) at different levels. I have now been stable for the last 2 years and this last checkup, the…

You look fabulous in both pictures. Your weight loss is great, you should be very proud of your accomplishment.

Bought new yoga pants to workout in yesterday; size M (12-14) . I feel great.

Being a stress eater myself, that is the best NSV you could ever want. Great job!
-
That is fabulous and some day I will have that same NSV.

Did it! Wk1 Day 3 and ready to move on to Wk 2. One small note to self, don't drink wine the night before, it takes almost the whole 30 minutes to feel good about the exercise. lol

I love Disney World and am doing the C25K (wk 1). My brother and I are going to do the Yeti 5k run. Then I want to do the Princess Dash, then the Epcot Wine and Dine run; well you get the point. I love the parks and I want to earn all the medal's they give. I may, gulp, aspire to do the Goofy Marathon. But that will be a…

Baking cookies; yeah I know everyone thinks I'm crazy. But I can't bake just one batch, it's multiple batches and then I give them away. Now if I could just stop testing each tray as it comes out of the oven. lol

Number 4 and I want to have the confidence Jennifer Anniston had in The BreakUp walking through the living room naked. That's what I want.

I am doing C25K on a treadmill, this is my second time around doing it that way. This time, when it cools off, I intend to move it to the road. I think the treadmill is fine and don't have any trouble with it. Temps are in the 90's here in the morning and there is no air to breathe. I do watch all these "crazy" people…

Great Job, I'm looking forward to the day that I can run 1/2 mile.

Done with Wk 1 Day 1; I was close to talking myself out of it. I feel pretty good. Now for the rest of the day.

Hello, I'm Lisa (yeah there are about 8.2 million of us out there). I am 48 with a daughter in college and the other in 8th grade. I've never liked exercise and really want to embrace that whole lifestyle. I did C25K 2 years ago and ran my first 5K but wasn't really ready. I finished but basically have not moved since. My…
