Red wine! Talk about calories. 110 in just 5 oz :( And who are we kidding only drinking 5 oz is laughable! I still have my wine nearly every single night but I try with all my heart and soul to stick to my piddly 5 oz. Booooo! I've changed a lot of the ways and things I eat but I'm not giving up my wine :)

This, this and this!!! Very well said!

Losing and gaining, losing and gaining, and now on my 3rd time losing. Geez, this better be my "3rd time is the charm" weight loss journey. It's incredibly unheathly to lose and gain so many times. I'm afraid I've done permanant damage. I just want to be healthy and stay that way.

family of 5--I'd guess about $500+

We have 3. All girls. They are brilliant, everything I ever wanted when I was younger and thought about what me children might be like. They have compassion, make amazing decisions and I couldn't possibly be more proud of them. At only 14, 11 and 10 they inspire me every day to be a better person. I am in awe of my…

Please don't let this deter you from having kids. Those kids are a holes in large part because of their parents or really the lack of parenting. Children can be molded and shaped into what you raise them to be. If you raise them to be respectful and considerate, kind and loving than they will be all those things. Feel…

My oldest daughter is 14 (15 in Oct) and she only just went to the mall for the first time with friends/without me a couple of months ago. She asked when she was 13 and I wouldn't let her. I agree it depends on the kid and the friends she is meeting. when I did let her go I took her there, walked her inside the mall, made…

As someone who has been everything from 300+ pounds to a size 5 I totally get where the op is coming from. I remember my thoughts/feelings/emotions/self worth.....at my heaviest and it wasn't a pretty thing. When I look at obese people I feel bad for them. I really feel bad for obese kids who have obese parents. It's a…

I'll be coming back to this thread for updates (haha, judge me if you must  ) I like reading this stuff and I don't care who knows. Anyway, if you like the vampire theme I've read all of Lynsay Sands books. It's a whole family of vamps and she writes a book about each of them but incorporates much of the family…

everything in moderation! If you are good with having your Mc'd food and you know you've worked out and it fits in your calories for the day than why the hell not? Go for it. Life's to short not to revel in what you really really like once in a while.

Although I am willing to sacrifice if I REALLY want pizza for dinner that night (or some other likewise food) I put it in my diary early that day and then eat accordingly the rest of the day. While I have adjusted some of what I eat/drink I haven't cut anything totally out. I want to live with the "everything in…

You looked happier in your "before" pics. But your look healthier in your "after" pics.

This is the way I feel about my glass of wine in the evening. That's why I'm willing the change the coffee :)

I love this answer! When I worked out at home I liked to watch tv too. Made the workout not so much like work :)

Elliptical. I bought a Lifefitness Elliptical years ago. Pricey but worth it. I sold it when we moved cross country just cause I didn't want to lug it. I was able to sell it after using it for 4 years (needed no maint., just kept it clean) for well over 1/2 what I paid for it through craig's list. Now that I go to the gym…

I slowly switched to fat free powdered creamer but it still is loaded with calories/sugar. I don't do flavored creamers at all. I need the regular cream and sugar in my coffee. I can't do "fake" sugar-it's TO sweet. I'm going on the hunt today for new creamer with less sugar. Gonna try the cinnamon thing too!

I am so incredibly proud of you and I don't even know you. Great job!

Holy smokes! Good for you. I wish I would have had the frame of mind to be physically healthy like that when I was your age. Now that I have daughters we are working on healthy as a family and they have become very active and athletic. I hope they continue to workout and be healthy on their own into their 20's like you…

Eggs! They are great for breakfast, the whites are a great snack! Portabella mushrooms. OMG! Sub a big cap out for your burger-to die for! Saute baby portabellas up with pam spray and a dash of salt and pepper-makes a great snack or side dish!

My mother bear instincts when it comes to my children

Smoker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! doesn't pull his own weight: IE: you want to eat?~help cook, you want clean clothes?~do some laundry, you want a clean house?~bust out the vaccum, you want well behaved kids?~be the other 50% of the parenting, you want a nice yard?~help me plant the flowers, you want to spend money?~have a good job If…

This is normal in my book. I have 3 kids and although they are older than yours are they still need attention. I do my best to concentrate on the fact that when I exercise I feel better and therefore it makes me a better mother. Working out and showing my kids that exercise is an important part of life is also important.…

Your pic is perfect! I love your tummy and legs!

I'm 5'10" and my goal is 160. I've been 150 (8 years ago) and while I look amazing at that I it's very hard to maintain. At 160 I can wear an 8 or a 10 (depending on manufacturer) I have a large frame though ( I wear a size 11 mens shoe)
-
Sometimes I wonder how my children are so utterly amazing and how I'll ever be able to let them go.
-
At 30. Lost it again but I plan for it to coming roaring back before I'm 40 next August.
-
My goal weight is 160. This is not my first pony ride and I've been at 150 before and it's super hard to maintain. But, I'm not a small girl by standards. I'm 5'10", large frame (I wear a size 11 sneaker in MENS!) so for me at 160 I'm in really good shape.

There are a couple of girls at my gym that are like that as well. It doesn't matter what time of day I go they are THERE! Jesus, do they not have a life? They really need to get one! I REALLY hate the women who obviously shower and APPLY MAKEUP before the gym. Are you serious? Honey I'm lucky to wash my face before heading…
