So glad to see the losses this past week - and am feeling motivated by your successes. Keep sharing - and insights into what works for you will help others who may need a kick in the pants  I'm having a better week - and am tempted to step on the scale - but will hold off until Tuesday. See you then!

Keep going, marmalade628 - the scale is moving in the right direction

Congrats to everyone who lost, stayed the same and posted a message (loss, gain, whatever!). It shows that you're committed to this life change. I, sadly, went back up 2 :embarassed: to 232 (start weight was 232.6; last week was 230). I guess it's not enough to THINK that I want this, to POST that I want this - I need to…

Ditto on the congratulations - you are my inspiration for this week!

way to go ally_cole and lstarr09! You will be our motivators to keep at it. Thanks for your thoughts, reallymyBEST, I agree - logging in, being honest and transparent will help to keep yourself motivated as well as others. I find it amazing how much of my struggles I see in other comments. Let's pretend this week is week 1…

Seems like many of us are on the same page - I'm weighing in tomorrow b/c I was away last night and not able to get to my scales. But I'm honestly not expecting a good change. I'm with prayaas - many reasons why - but the bottom line is not enough right choices. It seems to be a tough time of year for everyone. BUT I keep…

We're on the homestretch for this week - stay focused and motivated everyone!

Everyone deserves a pat on the back for logging in and sharing their stories. It will help all of us stay motivated to share what's going on and how we're doing. I know it's working for me - I was tempted last night after my daughter's soccer game but chose a pack of gum. Little things will hopefully add up! Good luck this…

Congrats missmissica on your engagement - and on being lower than last week! the fact that you didn't go up given that major life event is impressive. Keep it up - one choice at a time in Vegas - and have lots of fun!

Any loss is a good loss :)

Awesome to see all of these losses!!!!

Nice work joeysgirl!!! And everyone else . . . just by posting here and being conscious of our choices we are on the right track. I'm down exactly 2 pounds to 230.4 - next week 228.4 (it'll be nice to be out of the 230's)! I did sit-ups 5 out of 7 days - this week I'm going to shoot for 7 out of 7 (they say it takes 30 -…

Did them and it took about a minute - no time at all. Makes me wonder why I haven't been doing it for years?
-
You are more than welcome! We'll 'see' you on Tuesday :) Do more and eat less!
-
am hitting the floor right now to do the sit-ups . . . almost missed them today . . . thanks for the nudge prayaas
-
welcome missmissica! good luck!

How did it to iplibrarian?
-
Way to go - bootilicious :) I'll hopefully join you on Tuesday and be able to change my DARN tracker
-
I had to move my scale so I wouldn't be tempted - keep doing things right and it will all be worth it. I think it helps to keep me motivated to not weigh myself daily. If I saw progress, I might 'ease up' on what I do or eat - which wouldn't help. What a vicious cycle! Come ON Tuesday
-
If you stay on track, pries terse, you'll be down 8 pounds in a few short weeks. Stay motivated!
-
I'm trying not to weigh myself and keep within my calories for the day . . . am making small changes to old bad habits that I hope will add up. (driving by the Tim Hortons - yep, I'm in Canada - without stopping for a donut). Saves time, money and calories! Just finished by sit-ups for the day and am taking the kids to…
-
lynnievel - did you do them?
-
fantastic to see all the motivation! We're one day closer to Tuesday - let's make it count. Eat less - do more!
-
See you next Tuesday!!!!!
-
Nice work - I bet it'll be easier next time!
-
Nicely done everyone! Now we need to do them today  I bet everyday, both the sit-ups and the habit will get a bit easier!
-
What is everyone going to do today to be in a calorie deficit? (should burn an extra 650 calories each day to reach 2lbs by next Tuesday). Are you going to eat less? Are you goint to do more? I have less time to exercise, and a movie date with a friend, so I need to eat less.

keeps us honest!! feel free to share your strategies - all healthy ideas are welcome. Tonight I stood at my daughters soccer game instead of sitting - have to think it helps.

Welcome new members! I'm excited to see so many people wanting to do this :) KP556 - I know what you mean about being addicted to the scale - but it's a slippery slope. I'm going to try to put the scale away and only bring it out on Tuesdays.
