  • I use a heart rate monitor and find that the numbers on here are very excessive.
  • I just go. It's become such a normal part of my routine that it feels weird if I don't go.
  • I had a very unsupportive fiancée who loved me being "big" so she was always against any/all of my weight loss goals. It was a very discouraging situation as I had the love of my life/girl of my dreams but the rest of my life was falling apart and I felt so miserable. She was happy with the version of me that I wasn't…
  • It's possible but it will take a TON of work and discipline to achieve. You're talking 75 days here. This is just my experience so keep in mind that I am a guy and know nothing about post-pregnancy women and their bodies. Since Jan 1st which was 77 days ago, I have dropped 34 lbs and I eat VERY clean, between 1600-1900…
  • You never know until you try. Life is all about taking chances and gaining experience.
  • I get great benefits from doing both and think they compliment each other nicely. At the beginning of my journey it was straight cardio for six months and I was getting decent losses. It wasn't until I added strength training that the weight started melting off. I don't think I would have had the endurance to do a lot of…
  • As real as it gets. Red hair and all.
  • The greatest thing about bad days is they do come to an end and the next day you can start all over again. Keep your head up. Tomorrow is a new day.
  • Then you don't want to know about all the pages on Facebook where people take photos/videos of others working out unknowingly and share them on there where everyone makes fun of them.
  • Well the worst as far as the different types of forums I have been apart of anyway. It isn't too much to ask for but many people don't have and may have never had decency and maturity. That's why I find it easier to just browse on here and keep to myself.
  • Some people (generally speaking) are weak and pathetic so it is second nature to lash out at others for their own short comings. I signed up here last summer and was excited to find a forum of like minded people in the same situation with the same goals but I quickly learned by reading many threads that there are a lot of…
  • Nothing. Just be happy that I am back to where I should be and focus on maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle.
  • Nothing. I have a much better work out to music than TV.
  • Losing weight and getting in shape isn't just a series of diets and workouts. It's a life changing decision and a life long total commitment. The best way to be successful is to go "all in." Heart, mind, body, soul, everything! Maintaining is just as key as losing. Just take it one day at a time. Overwise it gets…
  • I have had amazing results walking with weighted vest everyday. I started low at 10 lbs and worked my way up to 50 lb so I know walking with weight helps a lot. As far as weight in your hands and ankles vs a vest...I don't know. Mine is strapped to my chest and back. I'd say any weight is better than nothing at all.
  • Walk your heart out. That is how I got my start and a year later after all the cardio, crossfit and weight training I still find the time to walk a few times a week. Not only is it good for you but I find it very relaxing and peaceful.
  • Just go and enjoy yourself.
  • I was once addicted to soda. I would have 4 or more bottles a day. It was just terrible and out of hand. My New Years resolution was to give it up for 1 year and 7 months later, I have not had a single soda. It was really hard to quit but it can be done. Quitting soda gave me the motivation to start working out and dieting…
  • I started out at 344 in March this this year. Five months later I am down to 287.
