51 year old lady here. I lost 57 lbs before recently joining MFP. Have 63 +/- to go. Sure is a lot tougher in the good ole 50s than was in the 30s, We just have to work harder to get there. . .On my way! Feel free to add me as a friend.

Welcome, Pinkerbell! Have already lost 57 lbs before joining MFP. Goal is to lose 120 lbs total, give or take a few. Depends on how my body looks when I get closer to that number. It has been many years since I have been @ that healthy weight. Add me as a friend & we can encourage each other along this journey.

Welcome! Great advice here. I would just add take your measurements for sure! Some weeks when the number on the scales just does not move, then you can re-measure yourself. Most times, you will be losing inches. Such a motivator! Be sure & take pic from front view & side view. You will be amazed as you can begin to notice…

I had my husband hide the scales for a season when I got so bad with the scale dictating my life. When I weighed, I was letting it determine whether I ate or not. Weight will go up & down naturally. Figure out a way to not weigh yourself so often if you are allowing the number to discourage you.
