I see how many calories I have left after supper, and allow myself a cookie, or a square of chocolate, or something similar, as long as I am within my daily limit. I manage to have one small sweet thing most evenings, and that gets me through.

Most nutritional guides I have seen suggest that 4 ounces (cooked weight) is an appropriate amount of meat/fish/chicken for a given meal.
