Haha :P I am into mmorpgs - Wow being the main. Diablo. Also like gory, fantasy based games Halo being a recent fav and Skyrim. I like CoD but I totally suck at it. My first love is Sonic the Hedgehog though and Mr Bean xD Who loves button bashing? I do.

Yup I lost 6lbs my first week - it's water. HOWEVER, don't forget to measure your neck, bust, arms, waist, hips and thighs. Watch your inches too because I lost a good inch all round also :) Lovely start and GJ xD

PENCIL SKIRT, HIGH HEELS AND ROCK IT! Sadly knee high boots don't suit (or fit often) me either. I detest mid calf boots on me too, they make my calves look bigger. BUT THIGH boots really do the trick (with jeans ofc!) Either that or sandals and heels (no clunky heels) with a skirt no higher than around my knees. If you…

My breathing mainly. I was struggling to breath but my legs weren't complaining really :(

You look lovely!! Congratz!! xD

THANK YOU!! My gosh my friend on the hike kept saying I should have run on the treadmill for practice (I live in london and little time to drive out to rural places hence the planned hike) even as we made our way up this rocky, slippery chalk path that was killing my legs from the incline and the control it took not to…

LOTS of water (I always have to consciously drink more) and eating enough (and vitamins) - don't let your body think it's starving or it'll hoard everything back. Our bodies are amazing and annoying for their ability to adapt so fast :P

Soda dehydrates you - dehydration means your body works slower and burns fat slower. I used to drink it loads but once I stopped, more because of stomach aches, a few weeks later I lost the craving completely. If you can't live without it make up for it by drinking more water. I don't recommend drinking tons of it or…

I keep it from my family! I HATE it and find it so embarrassing when family OR friends come around to scrutinize my exercise plans and eating habits. I have two calenders one that I keep stashed and keep personal things in, out of embarrassment more than anything to hide. It's too close to home right now, but when I lose…

It's easy to lose motivation - it's easy to be lazy. That why I have failed in the past so much. To me being able to write what I've eaten and stay within my goal after exercise propels me to not let up. :)

I haven't been on here long - but I can honestly say that it is BECAUSE of MFP and all the wonderful and supportive people here that I can now say no to "more". I used to eat whole triple packets of biscuits a day, the HUGE bars of chocolate and 2 or 3 servings of dinner. Seeing "under his or her" calorie goal inspires me,…

I go Aqua and gym classes - there is a lady there that has been doing night shifts for eight years and she and I always make sure we turn up around 7ish xD She starts either 9pm or 2am and always goes to the classes before work - ensuring she's got her work clothes and some snacks for after. She said she tried to go after…

OMG - freaked out for the evening. WHY WHY WHY???!!! Yes canned meats but you don't get a HUMASSIVE FISH IN A TIN! Do you? Or an entire COW?!!! :S

WOW. You know what - I haven't paid attention to NET cals but that makes total sense! TY for this enlightenment!! I don't want to slow my metabolism and since I'm trying to be realistic here I'm going to eat if my body is telling me I'm starving. Some deficit wont be the end of the world but I guess eating more can help…

I accidentally came across this pinned thread in the above section. Have a read it helped me understand plateus once you read further down. It's really interesting :) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/3047-700-calories-a-day-and-not-losing good luck!!

I know your feeling. I don't have kids but I have a hectic and unpredictable work schedule and 93 animals to care for around it. My friends want to go out on a friday or a saturday - I just want to eat myself silly and sleep. The only thing I found that worked was no matter how exhausted I was I got up and went to a gym…

I'm 5'6 at 176lbs (starting weight of 182lbs) My goal is the same as yours and I'm a 22 yr old female :) Feel free to add! There are no boundaries in how much we can support one another!

This place is amazing. It's the first time I feel calm and not alone during my weight loss. I was pretty scared about joining myself at first until a rather unsavory binge one evening. Feel free to add!! :)

I see my limit. I eat anything I want within that limit, whether it be ice-cream or fruit. I am a fussy eater so the transition to healthy is a hard one for me. If I want to eat more - I exercise so that I can eat more and meet my goal regardless. I have a lack of portion control so cheat days don't suit me. Is it what you…

ITS MUSCLE BABY!! I religiously measure myself at the same time as weighing. Muscle burns more calories passively (it's my simple lingo btw and that I'm no expert) and it also weighs more than fat. So shaving the inches means your getting fitter, your getting more muscles to burn stuff while your sitting around and a soon…

Yup there is a minimum. Have a look at your BMR (basic metabolic rate) in TOOLS ^^^^ above and that'll tell you what you NEED to maintain as you are if you did nothing all day. That'll give you a starting point. If you don't eat the minimum and safe amount for your weight loss and maintenance you risk getting your body…

Londoner over here /high five. Feel free to add :) I love the diversity here though, I have already learnt so much!! :)
-
I have only just started out but I am a FUSSSSSSY eater - ate jar food until the age of five and docs all over me with my bald head. The fact I like baked beans these days is a miracle. Feel free to add me though I have managed a way around my peculiar eating habits :) good luck!!

Speaking from the perspective of a friend that has the same issue, the same friend who in the past has had to deal with unhealthy weight loss through bulimia and anorexia due to her body dysmorphic disorder I have found it somewhat heartbreaking for her to think so lowly of her body image because she is so beautiful and…

VERY VERY INSPIRATIONAL!! You just made my day xD GL with the rest of your journey :) xx

Forgive me if I'm wrong I'm still learning but I thought if op is planning on doing an intense workout before consuming any food or water in the last 16 hours, 1 she'd be dehydrated and 2 if it's intense wont it reduce the effectiveness in the workout? She might burn tons on an empty stomach during the workout but I…
-
Heya not completely certain myself but would it be possible to wait until you've had a small snack, after sunset, like an apple or some nuts, BEFORE you started working out? You might wanna check it up but if you exercise on an empty stomach - one that's been so empty for so long compared to normal - I think you'd end up…
-
I agree with monitoring your body fat % - you can calculate it so you might work out what is best for you, but also measure neck, bust, waist, hips, thighs and upper arms and keep track of it. It's amazing if in conjunction with the scales. GL :)

definitely!! what it's like to be a woman huh :P

Mine says 1200 also - but I'm trying to exercise and then I can eat a **little** (not huge portions or junk stuff!) more as a reward (and my body probably needs it if I'm starving like mad after swimming) so I'm usually hovering around 1400-1600 but still in the green. Protein really sates my hunger just as eating…
