I can lose fat eating 3000 a day if I burn 4000. I find its quicker to do what I'm doing right now. And I don't spend a lot of extra time doing cardio. Anything else you want to tell me I am wrong about, my answer is here: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss

And that's why people that go on fasts don't lose any fat right? Cause their metabolism completely shuts down. If you weren't burning any calories you would be dead.

3000 isn't even enough to make me gain weight. I have to eat a minimum of 3500 daily average to make the scale move. And it bumps my thyroid back up to normal, eating very low calorie starts to muck up several hormone levels dealing with metabolism and appetite. My deadlift and bench press have been going up over the past two weeks, I am not losing muscle, the scale is going down and inches are leaving my waist. But if I were to believe the posters here, that should be impossible. Either I am magical, or they are wrong, I'm going to go with the latter.

I am astounded that this forum is so quick to link to Lyle and Alan for diet advice but then when it comes to this arbitrary calorie limit of 1200 calories common sense is thrown out the window. I cannot seriously believe that anyone here thinks eating 1000 calories is going to make you stop losing fat.

I am around 14-15% BF now with ~150lbs of LBM.. I consider this a little better than the average individual, but not by much. It took me 2 years of learning and gyming and eating properly to get to this from my previous sad state. I hope the next 2 years I get to 175lb LBM.....

The body does adapt to very small changes in calorie intake. I do not gain or lose any weight within a range of 2600-3400kcal. If i eat 3400 all that happens is I have to turn the thermostat down and I can't sit still. If I eat 2600 then I have to turn the thermostat up because I'm cold all the time.. My weight does not…

You really just need to worry about fructose. Don't go over 40-50G/day(100g of sucrose or HFCS) and you should be okay.

I don't know....... I just spend what I need to spend. I don't sacrifice food quality to save money, ever. For the time when I was trying to bulk and eat strict paleo, I spent over 1000/month on me alone. I stopped that lol....

You can eat 1200, make sure you eat higher protein and lots of veggies.

I was skinny fat when I started my journey into this stuff. I couldn't squat the barbell as a 26 year old male, 6'1 and 175lbs...... very weak. I probably had 120lbs of lean body mass and 55lbs of fat on me!! That's 31% body fat, classified as OBESE. OBESE as a 6'1 175lb man. That is skinny fat right there.

Yes I do a big refeed once a week. Tomorrow I am having half a dozen doughnuts and a whole pizza and maybe some ice cream too.
